We need to move to another space and try to figure this out.  The government is all messed up.  Does anyone on here not know that unemployed people will never get a job again?   They will only hire people that already are working.
Watch the news.  If you're a baby-boomer, it's over.

I'm in Gastonia, NC and got this email yesterday for an Admin Asst position I applied for.  I didn't have time to read the whole email at the time, but it sounded good.  When I saw the name Stephanie Anderson in one of these postings, I realized that this was the same email.  I ran across this post just searching for jobs again and was surprised to see how wide spread it was.

I always look for misspelled words or improper wording in job postings and I never take surveys or submit personal information.  When they require references, I tell them in my cover letter that I will provide them during the interview.  This is to protect the privacy of my friends.  Also, when I see Media Gather (which I have seen before) that always sends a red flag to me.  Just gathering information.  For what I don't know.  I hate to think of what they are doing with all the information.

I wish there was a way to stop all the scamming.  They know there are a lot of desperate people out there.

I received the email but the pay was 40k and also said to go to the media website for the survey.  Its a real shame people do this.  There are so many of us out of work and TROLLS who try to take advantage of those of us who are hurting.

I have reported them to the FCC and FBI as scams and thieves.  You all should do this too so that hopefully someone will find out who these TROLLS are and arrest them.

I also got an email. I am in Indianapolis, IN. I applied for a job as a medical assistant. And I emailed them and this is the reply I got:

Thank you for your reply. We have gotten a massive amount of emails but your details stood out and we?d like to move forward with you.

To summarize, the job requirements are the following:

? Establishing a team, group meetings (outside and internal; sales, team-level, managerial and management) including procuring.
? Keeping track of merchant, provider and business relationships to include reconciling and managing invoices.
? Managing calendars for 2 senior directors/dept. heads.
? Answering phones/directing calls (minimal duty).
? All other tasks as given.

We have an excellent benefits bundle including full medical, dental, retirement plans, a marvelous workplace environment and several opportunities for career advancement. We regularly rank amongst the leaders in employee satisfaction and employee retention.

This position has a minimum starting base salary of $37k, with additional quarterly team bonus payouts.

Our selection process is as follows: you will take part in 2 meetings, one with me and the 2nd with your direct supervisor. We'd like to have you here this week either Tuesday September 6 or Wednesday September 7. Both interviews should take approximately 45 minutes. We would really like to make a decision next week.

You?ll need you to bring the following items to the meeting:

? A copy of your resume (plain/printer paper preferred)
? Social Security Card

Additionally and notably, prior to your arrival we also need you to take part in a short Unemployment Survey we are carrying out jointly with the US Labor Dept.as part of an effort to provide data used to help develop government policy to promote economic and labor market conditions moving forward. Your personal data will remain private and your information is relevant whether or not you are presently employed. The Government has generously offered participants who fully complete the survey to become eligible for a $500 benefit payment.

To complete the survey, go to: http://P389.hr-mediagather.com

When you?ve concluded the survey, reply by e mail to confirm which day works best for you so we can finalize your personal interview schedule. I will get back to you with the interview location and directions to our offices at that time.

Looking forward to meeting you and hopefully bringing you on board!

I received this same email this morning.  I'd responded to an ad for part-time data-entry that allegedly paid about $12 an hr for 5.5 hrs a day &, instead, received this email for a position that allegedly starts at over $37,000 with management overtones.  I checked this out on several sites, including fakelist.org & a couple of government websites because it has a link for an alleged government survey that pays money for taking it!

1.  The government isn't paying ANYONE to take surveys and do not ask personal information via email.
2.  The phone numbers are not legit.
3.  The format of this letter matches another scam called the AARPSCAMMER.

DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL ... it is just another scan taking advantage of those of us trying to find legitimate jobs in a very tough job market.  [P.S.  I'm from Nashville, TN]

Good luck with your search!!

I got the same email scam, but here's a TWIST: I suspected that it was a scam when i got it & ANOTHER response to my same Craigslist response.  IOW, two DIFFERENT responses when i replied to the SAME listing on Craigslist.

I'd love to spit on these scum when all WE are trying to do is land a job in an economy that was ruined by thieves in the world of high finance.

Has anyone else had this experience of different replies to your same Craigslist reply ?

Also there must be 10 "different" mystery shoppers scams.  Spit on all these scum.
