ROFLMAO...yeah, right.  Bet you got a bridge to sell me AND some ocean front property in Arizona, too, huh?

But, IF, by the slightest chance you're even telling 1% of the truth, provide the company's NAME, ADDRESS, LOCAL TELEPHONE NUMBER, STATE OF REGISTRATION, YOUR CCA#, AND CEO'S NAME.  Oh, and a website would be nice.

If you can't/won't do any of those things, then IF you EVER get the GOLDEN opportunity, you can KISS THIS...and I don't even wear lipstick!

Debt Collector
If they start using this number again, DEMAND their ADDRESS and LOCAL telephone number, as well as the CEO's name.  If they try to talk over you instead of giving this information, hang up.

This place sounds like a THIRD PARTY JUNK DEBT collector.  Translation:  They literally buy up OLD, ANCIENT debt for less than 10¢ on the dollar, then start calling people, usually upping the amount that is/was actually due.  They refuse to send debt validation letters...then you'd have something to look at, a creditor's name, etc AND THEIR address.

Make yourselves aware of the FDCPA  http://www.ftc.gov/os/statutes/fdcpa/fdcpact.shtm
Here is more info on it from the FTC Consumer information -- http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection
It's glaringly apparent that these folks enjoy breaking most of these rules.

When reporting to the folks below, it would be most helpful to have at least a city/state these people are operating out of, although the Feds should be able to get info from the phone numbers these people are using.

Here are some other agency contacts:

?Please use this website to report suspected terrorism or criminal activity. Your information will be reviewed promptly by an FBI special agent or a professional staff member. Due to the high volume of information that we receive, we are unable to reply to every submission; however, we appreciate the information that you have provided.?
[NOTE: As far as I?m personally concerned, the behavior of these companies IS a form of domestic terrorism, although the FBI may not.]

It also occurs to me that, particularly on the GreenDot/Prepaid card ?payments,? since they are apparently difficult to trace, I seriously doubt they are reporting these funds on their income taxes === tax evasion.  (That?s the way they finally got Al Capone!)  The IRS has forms for reporting suspected evasion, and even a reward form you can complete for if you help them catch the folks!
http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/How-Do-You-Rep ... aud-Activity%3F   (I?m 99% sure it?s the Form 3949-A that you?ll want to complete if you?ve been swindled by these folks.)    It looks like Form 211 is to claim a reward!
http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f3949a.pdf   -- Form 3949-A
http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f211.pdf  -- Reward form

I personally don?t care WHICH branch of the government goes after these people, as long as THEY get REAL FEDERAL ARREST WARRANTS out on them!!  So, if you?ve been taken in by these folks, besides filing with the above, don?t forget the IRS!  (You KNOW they like going after money!!!)

It may not help, but it certainly wouldn?t hurt to fill the mailboxes at the White House with letters about these folks.  If the President wants to get involved with courts and everyday peoples? lives, then he needs to get involved in THIS!
http://www.whitehouse.gov/contact  -- to the right side of the page, there are links for leaving online comments, writing a letter, or calling the White House.

I'd suggest giving a list of time, date, phone number, and anyone's name you were given on these calls...EVEN if you didn't answer or it went to VM.

SUGGESTIONS (again, I am NOT an attorney and am NOT attempting to dispense legal advice.  These are my PERSONAL suggestions)
1-IF you decide to answer one of their MANY calls, give them NO INFORMATION.  In fact, YOU MAKE THEM ANSWER QUESTIONS, and if they don?t, hang up on them!   I don?t know anything about spoofing/masking numbers, but there have been comments that they are VOIP?ing the majority of the numbers they?re calling from.  I do not doubt this, as a person said the number showing on her phone was that of the local police department.
2-Keep a running log of the date, time, telephone number, person calling and note of conversation to file with your complaints.  (Or, try to record the call, BUT they usually hang up when they?re told they?re being recorded.  ROFLOL, now how many LEGITIMATE collection agencies would do that?  NONE that I?ve ever heard!)
3-Look up your state?s Statute of Limitations on debts that can be pursued in court (that you can still be sued for).  It seems to vary from 3-15years.
4-DO NOT allow them to intimidate or frighten you.  These idiots have even called the numbers attorneys, police officers, etc. with this scam.  Intelligent, they are NOT.

USUAL PLOYS:
1-call friends, neighbors, relatives, employers, and you trying to intimidate you into paying JUST to make the calls stop (but, from looking online, they don?t stop?they just demand more). ? Ask these folks to also keep a log of the calls, give them this internet page to check.  Ask them to do a search for ANY of these company names.  They?ll soon realize it that these people are nothing but SCAMMERS.
2-??have important legal documents (or summons) to deliver, will you be home ---(day) from 8:30 to 4:30 to accept it??
3-?There?s a warrant out for your arrest UNLESS you send us $xxx TODAY?  -- they seem to prefer asking for the ?Green Dot? prepaid card and want you to call back with the numbers on back ? harder to trace where to $ goes, apparently.

". . . they had papers to serve and where would we like them to be served." Should of been your first clue that this was fake. For heavens sake folks! Show a little backbone. Challenge them! Tell them to send you the paperwork, by US Mail, or don't waste your time. Then tell them you know they're fake!

I got a phone call as well saying that back in 11/02/2006 that I took a $350 loan out from a Quick pay and defrauded on the payment and that I now owe up to $1700 due to interest and that if I didn't pay it that they would be taking a warrant out for my arrest. She wanted me to pay $650 today in order to not have a warrant taken out. I called the police and filed a report, also put my bank on alert. This is definitely fraud

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

?is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
?refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
?asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
?exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:

?Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.?Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
?Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
?Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
?Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.

They have changed their number. I received a call from these people today but it was from a woman and the number was 1-888-543-8745. They claimed I had a debt in TX when I live in NJ. They would not give me any specifics and when I tried to call them back after I was unable to verify who they were it only went to voicemail.

Called my job with pre recorded message saying that he was John Anderson and that I needed to contact them or they would be filing a warrent for my arrest. The number is 1-888-543-8745 William Sauders and associates. When I called and told them it was illegal  for pre-recorded messages they said it was illegal to write a check for a pay day loan, and not pay, before I could say anything else they hung up. This is a scam.

This is such a scam. Ive been getting calls from some guy name John Anderson. And his message says we are attempting to serve you at your home or work place. The number they leave is 888-543-8745. And when you call the number you get a automated system that says you've reached William Saunders and Assoc.  No-one ever answers or responds to the voicemail I leave. This is such ashamed that people can do this. So I hope this helps the next person and they dont fall for this scam. Hopefully these people will get caught soon.

ok. this crew is a piece of work. what enforcement agency can we call and SHUT THEM down. they are using a reverse robo calling technique which shows the incoming number as your phone number. I have told them to cease calling my number--since the person named no longer works for our company. I then called them back looking for the owner, but the little chickens wouldn't tell me who owns this outfit. Let's put them out of business!!! i don't mind bill collectors--but this is the bottom of the barrier. Shame on you and your shady tactics!

I received a call about a payday loan. He said his name was Dan Anderson and court papers needed to be served at my home or place of work. He had my social security number and two previous addresses I had lived at. He said I got a loan from Ace payday loan which now with interest totals $879.00. They need to settle this today with payment cause I received a letter about a year ago concerning this matter. I asked if I could work some out and he said they would clear everything for a payment of $300.00. I told him I don't have that today but at a later date I will. He stated he needed some sort of credit card to assure payment. I told him that I was on the road and would call him back. I don't feel right given out my credit card Information to anyone. So I Google the firms name and found this. I thank you and will be making a report to the Better Business Bureau.

I have been receiving phone calls for weeks from this place.  My warning was that they had my ex-husbands information included and we have been divorced since 2003 and he has been deceased since 2007.  That was my first red flag.  Of course, they blew that off and kept on going.  When she realized I wasn't going to just write them a check, she said she was going to report that I was  not willing to take care of the problem and I would be hearing from the District Attorney next.  When I called back to try to get information on where my loans supposedly were from, they just hang up on me.  I called again to inform them that I had reported them to the Attorney General's office.  Once again, they hung up.  Hopefully they will not call again realizing that they didn't reach a sucker...
