To all: most debt collectors are ex-cons and drug addicts.  They don't know anything accept how to con other people

Has added an option to their automated robocall that says 'press 3 if we have dialed the wrong number' at which point you are directed to a representative who insists that they have dialed the correct number and you must be lying to them, they ask for identifying info and hang up when you state calmly "Please do not ever call my number again."   They have been calling me for about a year at this point, about once a fortnight.

Am setting up phone to record call and will pursue vigorous legal action at next harassment.

Recieved a call from 1-888-318-7044 at 8:45 PM Tuesday night.  A lady with a  "recovery company" - Stellar Recovery/Star Recovery  - that collects old debts.  She used my maiden name the debt must be over 12 years old!!!!  I told her not to call again and I did not appreciate her calling my house so late.  She tried to tell me by law she could call until 9:00 PM.!!!  Very Rude!!!!

call several times a day...push one if you are&^&%**. I push 1 and it says call them at the same number. I do and get no answer. I just went thru bankrupcy and was discharged of all debt.If I find out more I will direct my attorney to contact them. a**holes

Hey steller recovery go f*** yourself and quit lying to people here in Colorado after 6 years a debt is considered uncollectable and it is illegal to use any methods to try and collect it including calling people each state has different limitation times and by the morning I will have your address and location and I am going to post it all over the internet and people can come see you people in person to help CONVINCE you people to quit harrasing people

This is a debt collector, calling for old (long past SOL) debts. I didn't catch their name.

I work for Stellar Recovery! People like "FRANK" are confused about a few things. Because a debt has been charged off even 20 years ago, does not mean that us calling is illegal by any means. Its a valid debt! The only thing the stature of limitations protects you "DEBTORS" from is being taken to court, or showing a fresh judgment on your credit report. If your going to act like a know it all maybe you should get the FACTS straight first before making yourself look like a TOOL over the internet. Look into the FDCPA - Fair Debt Collections Practices Act and the FTC - Federal Trade Commission (Who Regulates The FDCPA). Im serious people, treat the collectors with respect. It's not our fault you never paid your bill and it whent to collections and was re-sold a few times because you've managed to dodge it long enough for "STATS" to protect you from your own mistake. Collectors have the ability to legal call until the matter is resolved. I suggest 2 options. 1. Pay the bill (You can even request 20% to 40% settlements and most will work with you) Or 2. Send a letter to the agency requesting to either only be contacted by mail or a C&A letter (Requesting to never be contacted again, which is bad esp. w/recent debt to where they could make decisions regarding collection steps without having to legally notify you). In reality resolving these matters is terribly simple. The worst thing you can do is sit back on your couch all day, watching judge judy and starring at your Caller I.D counting how many times the Agency has called. I mean seriously? Get a life. And to you FRANK, Next time you think your informing and helping these people on WhoCallsMe.com, make sure you have your facts straight before they end up hiring a lawyer and losing a case to one of our brilliant lawyers in court. Ok, Stellar Recovery...answer this. What do I do in the case where you keep calling me to collect a debt for someone I never heard of? This has been going on for 3 years now. Probably account was sold off to other collection agencies numerous times. The only thing I can think of is that the debtor had my phone number at one time and now I have it. I have requested they remove my number and they said they will comply, but the calls still keep coming. I've had enough and I will do something about this.

automated message stating they are not a telemarketing agency.  if you are (name) please call 8883187044

Same thing happened to me except they said I owed on a 6 year old cell phone bill.  Which I do not.  I had just moved 2 weeks before and they had my new address also my birth date and SS#.   I requested proof of this debt from the company themselves and told them I wouldn't speak to them again unless I received all the information I was looking for from the cell phone company.

Got a call from 866-860-9153.  Said he was looking to get in touch with a person's name I did not know but I played along with him because I thought it was some kind of a scam.  

I told him I knew the guy but that I had not seen him but a few times since he had moved away.  He told me that this was some personal business that the guy needed to know about.  He said ro tell him to call 888-318-7044 ext. 1397 and ask for Eric Kane.

Ask my name and call this number for information on debt collection.

I keep getting calls from 888-318-7044.  It is an automated system.  When I call them back it is Stellar Recovery stating that I owe a past debt amounting to over $8000 to some credit card company.  The calls come to my cell phone.  I asked where they got my cell number and they said I provided it.  I can assure you that I have never provided my cell phone number to any company.  To stop the calls, send a Cease and Desist letter to Stellar Recover, 1845 Hwy 93 S, Suite 310, Kalistall, MT, 59901.  Be sure to include the file# that's left in the voice message.

except that they said their company was Stellar Recovery Incorporated

Got an automated message for a person not at this number from a debt collector, saying that they should call this number 888-318-7044 to discuss the debt.

getting call, apparently collection agency for name unfamiliar with me, i cannot tell them they do not have this number anymore, always a recording.

They left a message . Says it Stellar Recovery  debt collection service. Don't think I ahve any unpaid debts with anyone?

Calls everyday, doesn't leave a message.

I keep getting calls from this number, i usually miss them but they are always asking for someone whose last name is blakenship.. i can't tell what the first name is...

Get automated phone call looking for someone who DOES NOT LIVE here and you can never talk to a live human being! I hate these calls! How do you get them to STOP calling!??

Called & said that it was an urgent call for someone who I could not understand the name of.  After that I hung up.

Left an unintelligible message for someone who apparently had my phone number more than 6 yrs. ago.  I've gotten calls over the last 6 yrs. requesting someone-maybe the name they left today on the recording; can't make it out.
