And if you have the payoff letter and file suit, all you have to do it attach that with their demand of a previously collected debt and you win.  I would suggest you contact them and let them know your intentions before filing and they will bow down and kiss your a**.  My cousin worked for a firm that handles your type of cases and I promise they will pay.  BBB is another source as they are required to respond.  But again, you have a pay off letter and a demand on that debt.  Easy win.  Perhaps post and look for others for a class action.  Their compliance attorney will respond with his tail between his legs.  Demand more than $1000 as Eddleman would cost 5K.

FYI, you can sue them for a FDCPA violation. Eddleman would be the Chicago attorney that would get you your $1000 minimum and then they will soak them for attorney's fees.  Easy money...

Stupid! If they were the law firm that they claim to be then the phone numbers would match up! This number does not even show up on the Dynia and whatever law firm! THis is a ploy that they use to get money out of you! Ignore it! If it was really a law firm you would have gotten actual notification, with a real letter head and a real address. Do not give anyone any money who calls to "sue" you, a real company trying to sue you will just sue you! This is the thrid "company" that has tried this scam on me and I owe nothing, have paid all of my debts! They just dig in the trash and get your info!

I am so glad to have read these posts.  I got contacted out of the blue by this company for the past 3 days.  Finally answered last night as I KNOW I have no credit card debt.  They gave this whole song & dance about owing a specific amount of money on a Chase card.  Well, that card has been settled since July 2012.  I told them this.  Insisted to them.  Then that woman had the audacity to tell me well, we're here to "work with you to get this debt paid as it appears on your credit reports & it's affecting your credit".  Also, they gave me some different numbers to call them back at:

877-314-4307 x146 (Shasha Reed)
1-888-322-1296
&
fax 773-482-6200

NO IT ISN'T!  This card is NOT on my credit reports (which I also pulled last night because they had me so rattled) & it is not "in collections" as she so boldly touted.

I just faxed them the payoff letter (from a reputable attorney) proving my case & warned them to remove everything about me from their outdated system & NEVER contact me again.

Thank you all above for the invaluable information you posted.  I hope that if anyone else reads this they will understand this company is full of $^/t & hopefully NOT pay them a DIME!!!  They give you just enough of "your" information from "their file" for you to believe them...DON'T!!!!!

I'd send them a cease and desist, very carefully documented.  Check http://creditboards.com/forums/index.php?showforum=2 for tips on that.  If they persist, get a consumer attorney, sue them and profit.

They are calling my house constantly, harassing my daughter for information from several different numbers, I owe no debt and have never received any collection notice in the mail from anyone associated with this company. They are in violation of the Fair debt act by telling my daughter they are calling about a debt and that they are from a law firm and need to speak to me right away! They didn't even give her the right name of the company, when my daughter said I was at work they said well then we will call her at work does she still work @? They are upsetting my daughter by with these calls. If I had a valid debt with these people where is the letter giving me 30 days to respond! No paperwork = NOT LEGIT!

Debt Collector
I received a phone call from this number, 1-888-322-1296 today.  I did not answer the call because I did not recognize the number.  But I received an notification that they left an voicemail message.  When I listened to the message, apparently it was an recording because all I heard on the voice message was, "..... If not, then please disregard this message".  So I decided to research the number to find out who could the be, and why are they trying to make contact with me.  The response I received from my Reverse Look-up application, indicated that this company is, Budzic and Dynia LLC.  They are an debt collection agency, attempting to collect an debt.  I did not know they were a debt collection agency until I researched this a little further.  After thinking about it, I decided to call them back and see who they wanted and why.  Apparently, they were looking for me.  But this is about a credit card bill from many years ago, that they're trying to collect on, and I paid that bill off long before it reached collections.  I know its an credit card bill because I don't have anything that's outstanding or in collections presently.  Had this been years ago when I was younger I probably would've fell for there scam.  However, this is how they operate.  They take advantage of naive, hard working individuals and try to collect an debt that's either been charged off by a company or over the legal threshold, in effort to collect on that debt.  I've also learned that many of these outside collection agencies purchase debt from other companies that once had your account and was unsuccessful in collecting on it.  What many people don't realize is they need to beware and be EXTREMELY careful.  Here's why, if you had troubles in the past with your financial situation and you havent paid your bills, of course they're going to come after you for it.  I don't care who you are, at some point in your life you've had some kind of financial problem or problems.  We're all guilty of it.  But most importantly, we have to resolve it at some point.  Whether thst been waiting until that company charge off the account, garish your wages, of you end up in an collection agency, being harassed.  Many people don't know that after a certain amount of years, 7-10 years or so, don't quote me, but after a certain time frame, they can no longer collect that debt LEGALLY".  Notice I said, "LEGALLY".  Because many collection agencies sell your debt to other collection agencies, the new agency wants to make the money back off of you.  Now here's where it gets tricky.  If you do.decide to follow through with paying on that debt, be careful.  When your credit reports displays charge off or delinquent, it will continue to stay in that status because you never satisfied the original debt.  Not matter if you paid this new collection agency or not.  Then if you do enter into satisfying the debt, if for some reason you don't make the payments on time, you now have two bad debts against you.  One from the original debt, and the other from the new company.  Ok, let's say you pay off the debt to this new company, once you've paid in full, guess what.  You're still going to have an negative credit rating impacting your credit score.  Here's why, because you laid this new collection agency who bought your debt from another collection agency who bought it from an another.collection agency and the list goes on and on.  It never makes it back to the original company.  Because when they referred you to an outside collection agency, that gave the new company rights to collect that debt.  After awhile, the original company charges off your account.  Pretty much case close.  So because this outside collection agency was unsuccessful, they need to recover their lost.  Therefore they sell your debt to another collection agency to recover their time and money.  I'm not sure but there's got to be some kind of invasion or privacy here, because no one should have another persons credit information without there prior consent.  But anyway, once the new company has your debt, they come after you like flies on s***.  They harass you everyday.  Because they want their money back.  But guess what?  Stop and think about this.  How can one company sell your information to another company and make a profit and update your credit status to paid in full?  They can't.  It's all about getting the money.  You'll make payments to this new company thinking your repairing your credit but when you pull your credit report, you find that your debt was never satisfied.  The best way to handle a situation like this Is to first, pull your credit report.  Next, locate the company whom you have an outstanding debt with.  If you can not locate them or if theyre out of business, then locate the company that they referred your account to.  Speak with them and place an offer on the table to satisfy the debt.  When your prepared to make an offer make sure you're able to successful maintain the agreement.  This way there's no discrepancy.  When making an offer, you want to come you with something that is reasonable and your able to handle.  But when making that offer you want to come in lower than what you're prepared to pay.  Example, if you're prepared to satisfy a debt worth $1000 you make want to pay $650.  But you will offer them $500.  And you would say its because you original debt is only $400.  You would suggest this because you think its fair for everyone.  They may come back with an higher offer.  But keep in mind, the ball is in your court.  They want something you have.  So negotiate until you get to where you're comfortable with.  Because most of that debt is late fees, interest, over limit, the whole works.  So settling for less than what you there asking for to me is fair.

I received several calls from this number indicating they are Budzik and Dynia LLC out of Chicago. Claimed to be a rep for previous credit card that had been written off four years ago.  I asked them to send me verification of an agreement between myself and their company, along with copies of any actual transactions made by me with my signature.  The person I spoke with didn't understand what I was talking about (I am a paralegal) and disconnected the call.  Now I get robo calls that leave no message.  Called again at 8:05 this morning with no one on line.

They use several different phone numbers. They "THREATEN" to have you arrested. DO NO  fall for it. Tell them this is a request that any further communication should be by mail. I did get a letter... it was in a regular envelope, not even business type, a hand stamped return address that was not even straight. A legit company would at least have some professional stationary and envelopes.

I think everyone of these scum bags need to be hunted down & killed !!

They called my cell phone... I hit ignore, the quickly called back... I hit ignore again, they called back again.... I let it ring till it stopped ringing so they would know there was no voice mail set up on my account...  They did not call back for a 4th try.

I got my cell phone for my business & pleasure, not so these a***oles can leave stupid scamming voice mails...  This is what I do.

1) I did not, and will not set up a voice mail on my cell (they can't leave a message then !!)
2) I DO NOT answer any 888, 866, or 800 calls
3) I DO NOT answer any call I do not recognize, or that is not in my address book !
4) I research a "missed" call... if it is someone I need to talk to, I will call them back.

They try to collect zombie debt that has passed the statutes of limitations and/or from the wrong person. They literally call anyone who has the same name hoping some idiot will pay the debt. They call from literally 10 different numbers that I have had blocked. The 1st time they called I told them you're full of crap. I told them to file a lawsuit against me if the debt is real. They started yelling and saying they will. NO LAWSUIT in 3 months. They won't file b/c they have no case!  I real lawyer who had a case would file against you if they had a case and were invited to do so.
