Calls from this place since I got the phone number a week ago. Called the number back and got a voice mail. I only explained I got the number (and stated my number in the message of course) recently and put it on the do not call list, told them how many days they have before I file a complaint with the ftc. They ask for a name and number, but they only need the number. If you call them to get off their list they DO NOT need to be given any of your personal information. Give them nothing to try to scam or use against you. Verifying that the phone number changed hands can be done by them making a phone call, it's THEIR job, not yours. From the time you put your number on the do not call list till you can file a complaint is 31 days, mark it on a calendar and make the call if they keep calling. Anyway, hoping they stop calling, since they're not calling for me.

Did eaving a message at this firm/phone # work? I *69 the number today to tell them directly to stop calling our home. They call every day asking for someone who doesn't live here (and frankly I cannot make out the name!). I even placed our number on the "Do Not Call" National Registry and they still call here. I saw an earlier post here on the Cease & Desist letter, and will pursue that now.

They keep calling same as above.  The person they want doesn't live with me and they don't stop. You'd think if I "disregard this call" that they'd get the message!

mail to them a "CEASE and DESIST" letter and tell them if one more call comes into your house you will file a complaint with the Attorny General's Office and the Bar Association of their state. They are "intruding your personal privacy" and invading your home with telephone calls that were not authorized.

The recorded message from Lyons, Doughty & Veldhuis a "law firm" keeps calling my house every day looking for someone who does not live here.  I called the number on my Caller ID and left a VM telling them to remove my number from their list and to stop calling me multiple times a day.

This number calls constantly for someone who does not live here and gives no option to talk to an actual person to rectify it.

Keeps calling my cell, but doesn't say a name; just dead air.  I only have one credit card and have never even been late on a payment.  I think someone is giving out my phone number as their own. They gave it to a local school. That was annoying!  But much easier to fix.

I've gotten auto calls for months and finally a live person just called!  I'm never answering the phone.  I don't owe any money.  They are trying to collect on OLD OLD debts that have long since past the statute of limitations

Pretty sure we don't have any debt but I called back and got no answer! Waiting to talk to someone and wont call back!!!!

By Law they are only allowed to contact you once.Any calls there-after you can take action against them....

They have been calling me for the past year claiming that I owe for a credit that I NEVER had,  they have me on some audimated call that even calls while I'm in church on Sunday morning!!!  I have talked to a live person and asked them to send me proof something with my signature agreeing to have and use their credit card and I would gladly pay the bill, still have yet to receive anything.  I wonder where they got my address from I know they got my number from me calling to inquire about the letter they sent me.

this lyons doughty keeps calling claiming i owe on a credit card and i never owned one before! They keep calling harassing me and i'm f****ng sick of it! Next call i get i'm gonna show them i'm the wrong person to f*** with!

These people proclaim themselves to be a law firm, but indeed they are a COLLECTION AGENCY and the owner, or one of the owners may be a lawyer.
