My first clue was that the idiot couldn't pronounce the name "Daniel". YEARS ago, we had a guy who worked here whose first name was Daniel, but he didn't ever use it; he went by his middle name.
The guy who called our office (6 years after Daniel left here) asked for "Danielle", the woman's name pronunciation. Can I get a "Duh" from the house? When I said there was no one here by that name, he simply hanged up.
Clearly a scam; someone trying to sell something TO a business would have asked, "Well, who handles your _____ department, now?"

They are just crooks trying to steal your money. The call me every day using 888-325- 5399 and other last four digits combinations. Do not create more problems for yourself by answering their calls. What I don't understand is why our all powerful and wealthy govt doesn't use part of the billions they hand out all over the world to eliminate these crooks so our American people can live a more peaceful life. It doesn't matter whether the Democrats or Republicans are in office the result is the same - the U.S. people get the shaft while the politicians live the good life and get richer. For Call Type there should be a Crook or Thief choice.

These b*****ds have called me for two weeks every five minutes....An obvious scam. Cannot block the number. Very frustrating. Contacted police,,,they offer no assistance. What now?

You can't fix stupid. They the scammers are not only stupid but just plan idiots..bad breeding. They've learned the con, the deception, the lack of morals and ethics from their parents, the apple don't fall too far from the tree.
The person that answers these phone call are just stupid. IF Bank of America is going to call you, your phone ID will say....Bank of America.... Dah!!

I got one of those call today - He claimed to be from Bank Of America, but call ID said: UnKnown. Claimed not to sale anything, but wanted to talk about something to do with my accounts. So I asked what exactly or what generally was it about. He claimed he could not tell me before I had gone through a verification process. I said that is not going to happen, I said I would go to my local Bank of Am. branch, and let them explain what it is all about. What made it real strange is, he agreed and said just give them this telephone number 888-4..-.... (different from the number he called from) and the local branch will explain everything.
That put up the question - is he for real?
I called the number on the back of my Bank of Am. card and after there normal verification, I talked customer rep. that look at my account and could not see anything that would alert them or me. So I presume it is a scam.
So the absolute conclusion: never give a person calling you any info. Call back to the official bank phone number (on your debit or credit card)
Also they BoA claim that they would never call you, they communicate either by there secure web server, where you have to log in, by alerting you by Email, that there is a message on there secure web site / my account or by regular snail-mail.

PLEASE..there is a slew of 888-325 exchange numbers REPEATEDLY CALLING CLAIMING THEY ARE FROM BANK OF AMERICA...the "debt collector" ...they try to sound professional using the SAME recorded voice that BofA uses...DO NOT I REPEAT PEOPLE..DO NOT ANSWER THESE CALLS AND REPORT THE numbers you receive to abuse@bankofamerica.com...THEY MUST BE STOPPED...it's UNREAL how many people are gullable in the U.S. PLEASE....WISE UP!

DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE..they ARE SCAMMERS claiming to be from Bank of America..."debt Collectors" they are trying to get your personal information! they are going under a few 888-325 numbers..DO NOT PICK IT UP! CALL BANK OF AMERICA OR email them at abuse@bankofamerica.com..THEY MUST BE STOPPED!
