I went to my 'presentation' last night, and as everyone above has already described, it is a total waste of time.  Global Vacation Network took 2 hours of my time for a presentation that is over-priced and to me, because I already own a timeshare, totally worthless.  The 'gifts' that you get to pick from after attending the presentation, all require anywhere from a $200 to $50 'activation' or deposit fee.  They also require a credit card number, of which, I was not going to give them.  Unless you absolutely do not have anything to do with your time, this is truly a waste.  I was initially sent a letter by American Airways.

Not sure who you are referring to with your nasty little comment but apparently you were not scammed by this company!!  My husband and I went to one of these seminars and listened to their LONG presentation, were not impressed with what they were offering.  They were very pushy when we declined to sign up for 'this great opportunity'....we were told that with our income their is no reason for us to refuse because we should be able to afford it!! Like they know what bills we pay! And I wasn't aware we were REQUIRED to sign up just because we could afford it! So we did in fact refuse....sent in our voucher for our 'free android tablet' and low and behold one year later and we have not received it!! Maybe it didn't cost us money to sit and listen to their BS but it did cost us valuable time....I didn't go FOR the free gift, I was actually interested in what they had to offer, but since it WAS a bunch of BS then yes I believe I am entitled to my free tablet!!  I am way to busy for ANY of my time to be wasted and I HATE to be lied to!  And I do so hope you don't find any typos in my post....because that's important WHY?!!!

Sorry you are not telling the truth. My husband and I took Time out to attend this meeting in Tinley Park, IL We were harassed when we felt that this was not a program that would financially benefit us. I mailed  the yellow sheet to the address listed at the bottom of the form to recieve my Tablet and have not heard from this company. It' sad that this company is not true to it's word or advertising.

Well Hey, Tiffany,

Maybe you can help me.  We went to the presentation and listened to the high pressure sales pitch.  They give us a gold colored sheet of paper entitled 'CDF Travel Premium Incentive List.  The website listed does not exist, gifts.cdftravel.com, all I found were complaints about  this company, Global Vacation Network.  Could you put me in touch with the person who can help me claim my free gifts of my choice between (1) 3 vacation packages AND  (2) choice of a Nextbook Tablet, Blue-Ray player, Netbook, or Hi-Res digital video camera.  If this doesn't get resolved in the next couple of days, I will be contacting the BBB and/or our local t.v. Problem Solvers.  Thanks!

Hi Tiffany,

We went to the presentation, sat through the high pressure sales pitch, and received a gold colored piece of paper titled, 'CDF Travel Premium Incentive List'.  It tells me to go to gifts.cdftravel.com to make my choice of 'one of the following incentives and one of the following bonus incentives.'  Guess what?  I can't find such a site on the internet.  All I found was the complaints from many, many people.  So, if this isn't a scam, maybe you could put me incontact with someone who can produce my free gifts before I contact the BBB and/or the local Problem Solvers at our local t.v. station.

Let me start by saying I used to do presentations for time shares and this isn't one. I just went today and the only two things you'll get hit for is the taxes on the trips and a 30 dollar S&H for the Netbook or tablet, There is no comparing the cost of a trip to the taxes. And, if you can find a Netbook or tablet for $30 dollars anywhere, let me know. I'll buy them out and sell them on-line for a profit.

The presentation is for a service similar to Direct Buy (home furnishings) except it's for travel. If you vacation at least once a year, it's definitely worth it. As far as why they want to know if you make more than $40k a year, if you don't, it's far more likely you can't afford to take vacations.

Let me finish by saying this is not for everyone and I'm not trying to sell anyone anything. What I do see here is a lot of uniformed opinions. There are NO hidden catches. If you don't want to join, don't. you still get what they have told you.

I am glad I took the time to read this. I too received a postcard and plan to attend tomorrow. I do a lot of traveling and think this is a great idea to promote a business. Less money in the long run than some advertisement does.....scam or not, I have the extra time to check out what sounds like a pretty good thing. 90 minutes is not the end of the world! Glad an employee took the time to reaffirm their company's rep.

Back again after gathering more info about this company.SCAM! This is Global Vacation Network, but changed their name to CDF after numerous complaints, over 95 to the BBB. 63 of them serious. The BBB is warning against this company, saying on their web site," This is basically a telemarketing scam?. Basically, everything they tell you over the phone is a lie. Posts on other sites state the android tablet is a piece of junk & is not brand name, & is not given to you at the presentation, but you receive a voucher, then they ask for you credit card info for a "nominal shiing fee". The vacation properties are isolated from the hotel strip, are in bad condition, have outdated wicker furniture, they don't have a book that lists all the properties, & the web site isn't updated. People state they paid between $4,000 to $6000 for the vacation package & it wasn't a deal, because they still had to pay numerous other fees for the trip. There is a WARNING about this company on th BBB WEBSITE, READ IT! I'm very glad I did my research before I wasted my time drving an hour to this resentation, I would have been disqualified anyway, as I don't have a credit card. SCAM!!!!

There isn't a lot of info on this company, when you google, there are only 2 sites to access, & this is 1 of them. I'm still looking into this company, but this is what I've found out so far.  The company is CDA consulting, though they identify themselves as CDF Travel.  The Better Business Bureau has 65 complaints about them. They ask for a credit card number for a "nominal fee" for shipping the andoid tablet. I don't have a credit card, & I wouldn't give them my debit card number under any circumstances. I hope no one is gullible enough to give them their debit card number, it is used as a credit card all the time, what a nightmare that could turn into.

I got a call from Michelle, she was really nice, she said if I go the presentation, which they refer to as the open house reception, I'll receive an Android tablet, & my choice of a vacation package. There are 3 to chose from.  I asked if I get the Android tablet at the meeting, & she said I willl receive a card for it, then I pay for the shipping. I asked who it's manufactured by, she didn't have that info but said it's a brand name, & there is no purchase required at the presenttion.I googled the company because it sounds too good to be true. At the end of the call she said, I get paid only if you attend the reception, so on a scale from 1 to 10, how likely are you to attend? That was strange. Not sure if I'm going to go, I'm scheduled for the 21st, I read the posts about the company asking for credit card numbers, I don't have a credit card. I'd like to hear from anyone who has gone to the presentation, I don't see any posts from anyone who used the vacation package either. I see posts it's a scam, but no details, just it's a scam,, with no other info.

Telemarketer
First and foremost: The telemarketer, Autumn (if that is your real name), was a pleasure to talk to and very professional. I wish you the best; have faith that your professionalism, people skills and ability to handle tough questions ;) will not go unnoticed. Those qualities are something that can ONLY be produced by you, not a corporation.

You know, regardless of their actual intentions as a travel agency, the real scammers here are the marketing and consulting people hired by Cruise-Drive-Fly who somehow convinced them that these "top secret" postcards were a good form of advertising.

It wouldn't surprise me if Cruise-Drive-Fly is just a fabricated "travel agency" that is used only as a front to sell off the surplus (and most likely crappy) electronics from overseas.

If you do call, try to put yourself in Autumn's shoes and don't let this little green postage card ruin your day - its only business, nothing personal.

This made me skeptical too...why is it when you try to go to the website you can't...HMMMM. I got a call too. Was promised an android and told I'd have to pick from 3 vacation packages too. Hey also why do I need a wife to enjoy their services...I'm single no kids and make six figures and like to travel...but she said I don't qualify for the presentation...Thats kinda silly. I think they are missing a potential big singles market..Haven't they heard of single cruises etc..

I cannot believe this is even a discussion. Yes, it's a scam, and yes, they will ask for your credit card number. "Tiffany" is a man working for them...wink* wink*. They have a revolving door of employees that are trained to be robots of deception. Seriously, no more posts on this thread. Thanks.

I too, work for Cruise Drive Fly and I can tell you that it is not a scam. As Tiffany said, they just want you to attend a presentation where they will tell you about their company. You do pay the taxes on the items which is minimal compared to what the items cost if you were to go out and purchase this on your own. After you sign up to attend the presentation you do get an email from us stating in writing exactly what you are going to receive from us just for giving us a little bit of your time to hear about our company. For those of you that are so skeptical and rude to us when we talk to you, its your loss your missing out on a good deal.
