This person called claiming to be from Microsoft. I first received messages on my computer saying my computer has a virus and I needed to call this number. When I didn't call I received a phone call saying I am a loyal customer and they want to help fix my computer issues. I asked how much it would cost me and he said nothing. He asked me to perform certain task on my computer and he asked about my wireless router which I refused to give. Bottom line I believe this is a phishing scam to collect credit card information. After the phone call this person continued to control my computer, deleting files. If this person calls don't give any information. This person has an Asian accent, here is the information he gave for me to contact him at a later date: My caller ID showed a California number: Mike Edward ( shady )(his real name)

I also recieved a call.  Asked a few questions. Told him I did not trust him. He gave the following info for calling back.  The 888 327 2710 phone number. His name (Frank)  and # (1016).  Also the code "MCW10921". I don't remember what it was for. There were many people talking in the background, such that it sounded like a call center. I contacted Iolo (system software company) about this.  They looked it up and told me it was bogus.  (I didn't know about this site yet.)

I got a call from this same # and the guy said that my computer was alerting them that there was a virus and they wanted to connect to help me fix the problem. I kept him on the phone as long as I could, asking stupid questions and then finally told him I wasn't interested.

A David Stephens Id 1004 from mspa 11383320 called saying that he was from Microsoft and wanted to protect my Dell computer  from hackers.  I made a big mistake and let  them take control of my computer.hey ran a bunch of bogus tests than tried to sell me network security tools. Fortunately I did not buy them.  Then the man said that hackers would torch my computer.  I called the 888 number and got either a busy signal or music.  This is a total scam. I have to see if the scammers planted a bug in my computer.

This number called me. He claimed to be from Windows and said that my windows was corrupted and all my files needed to be deleted. He wanted me to go through my computer while I was on the phone. I just changed my phone # and this guy some how got it. Complete scam.

I received a call from the same number.  The person at the other end claimed that he was calling from Window saying that my computer had virus and wanted to direct me to delete them.  I told him I would call him back.
