Just got this call from 406-224-9002, caller ID says "CREDIT SERVICES".
First I spoke with "Ronny" who says the company name is "Visa and Mastercard Services" in Orlando.  I asked for his so-called supervisor who said his name is "Ralph".  I told him I didn't believe him and asked him for the temperature in Orlando, if in fact that was where he was calling from.  He answered "23 degrees", which was an obvious reference to 23 degrees CELSIUS, the measurement system you might expect to use in say, India.  He then corrected himself to say "85". WRONG ANSWER: 23 C correlates with 73 degrees Fahrenheit.   Interesting to say you are in Orlando when in fact you are calling from Mumbai or ???.
Here is the name and address he gave me for the company:
Financial Consulting Services, Limited
3228 East Woods Drive
Orlando, Florida

When I advised I am listed on the Do-Not-Call list he hung up.

*** This Orlando address is for a VACANT LOT in a residential neighborhood across from, appropriately enough, Turkey Lake.
*** The Better Business Bureau has no information on this company.
CONCLUSION: TOTAL SCAM

I just got a phone call from these guys. They knew all my credit card balances and the last 4 digits and they had me confirm my full card number by giving them the expiration date and number. Foolishly I did so and only after I got off the phone realized that they could get all this info from a credit report. I immediately called 4 banks to cancel credit cards.

They gave me this number and the name Danny Bordo to call back. If you call this number, all you get is some music and then a hang up.

What a fool. At least I canceled the cards before they could put their charges through.

This company just called claiming to be VISA, and they wanted to lower my interest rate, they had all my information and just wanted to verify it so they can lower it. I gave them my expiration date, but when he asked for my account number i said, no you called me i am never to give that out, what is your number and I will call you back - he gave me this 888 - 333- 3857.  He then became irritated that i wouldnt give him my account number and said, oh this whole interest rate will be cancelled if you dont verify the account number, he kept saying give me your account number starting with 4 - as if that was supposed to mean he had my account number, but i learned all visa accounts start with 4 - so this is a scam and I wish someone coudl do something about it.

Man, those people were really, really aggressive. That was more of a red flag than anything else. Another red flag was that Eric Hamet (my 'representative'..haha) gave me his extension and it happened to be my area code. I confirmed my second 4 digits but then smelled a rat. I hung up and a woman called me back and was even more aggressive to the point of nearly shouting. BUH BYE

I had a feeling this was a scam and asked for the number to call back. I seached for the number and this info page came up. The banks don't want to lower your rate unless you ask them.

Credit card scam... beware! starts, with "nothing is wrong with your account", and then starts asking for information. Don't ever answer questions from someone who calls you! Get a number, Google it, and find out who it is. I asked for a website, and they hung up! SCAM!

I was at home with my mother and she recieved this same call from a Kevin Garcia (who had a strong Indian accent) at Customer Services. The guy gave her the last four digits, but she refused to give him the rest of the card number. She told him that she would call back ans recieved this number with his extension 213 and badge number 200. She proceeded to call her card company and they immediately told her that this was a SCAM and that they will NEVER call to lower an interest rate. (All of that will be done by mail or request.) To have fun, my mom decided to call back this number and they tried to change their story. The lady that answered the phone this time was very defensive and then proceeded to scream at my mom when my mom told her that she had already called her card company and reported them as scammer the lady screamed "oh, boo hoo am I suppose to cry?" Then she said she didn't care and hung up. I guess she will care though when the police show up at her house.

Received the call and same scenario as above.  I got on the line with someone named Fabio, ext 244 (got his name later).  I had tried to get info before but they always hung up as soon as I asked anything like 'what card are you calling about?'.  I played along this time, without giving any info.  They asked to confirm the expiration date and we went back and forth for minutes with him asking to confirm, and me saying 'sure, what's the #?' (or what exp date do you have, etc).  Finally told him I had another call and asked for a callback #.  Was given this one and another (which turned out to be out of service - 888-559-2126).  I called back and asked if they were 'Credit Services', the lady said no, and finally told me they are 'Logic Solutions'.  I'm sure they update the # and name often.  I filed a complaint with the National Do Not Call Registry.

I also just receive a call for this, with "Celina" calling from Financial Advising Service, giving me the same song and dance as described by others (good customer, working with VISA/MC, high balance, on-time payments, blah blah blah).    I also did give them my number, as much as I am ashamed to admit.  She did have a fair amount of information already, and as savvy as I think I am, I fell for it...

fortunately, I did find this site after the call, and have already had the account changed.   Now I'm waiting for the call from the "supervisor".   Should be a quick call

the number came up as 701-217-1003

the callback number I received from the woman was 888-333-3857

Don't be fooled, folks. This is a complete scam. You know it in TWO seconds because:

1. They don't identify who they are.
2. They refer to "your credit account" without naming anything about you or the account--whether it's a VISA or MasterCard, what the balance is, what the current interest rate is, what the account number is, what your name is.
3. They play on your need to make you stop thinking critically. You're getting crushed by interest rates on your card, and it would be your dream come true to get it switched to a low interest rate. This is Wizard's First Rule--people are susceptible to the thing they hope the most or fear the most.

I only pressed 1 to get the 800 number so I could look it up online.

They called me back from 805-357-1666 shortly after I made this post.  They acted as if I had agreed to continue even though I had hung up on them.  I asked for a street address and was told Madison Avenue.  I asked for the number and was told that the street name was all that I needed.  After we argued for a while, he finally told me 2564 Madison Avenue and that his name was Adam Clark.  I explained that I had called 888-333-3857 previously and was told that they were based in Orlando.  He then said that they had branch offices all over the country.  I asked how it was that they have no website and are supposedly a new company if they already have branch offices all around the country.  That tripped up the fraudster and, after a few false starts, he went right back into the script.  I played along up to the point that he started the "legal recording".  He said that we were conferenced with my bank and, when he asked the question "Do you authorize us to charge your account for $xxx.xx", I said no.  Then he got very angry and defensive, told me that I wasn't too bright, and tried going through the script again.  I pushed back and he told me that the charge had already been posted and that there was nothing I could do about it, then hung up on me (his assertion that they had charged me was a lie -- I had already frozen the account by then).

Pressed and pressed for my credit card numbers and last four of my SSN.  Very smooth and convincing but it's fraud.  I demanded a callback number, then hung up.  I called 701-217-1003 first (the # on my Caller ID) and found that it is not a valid number.  I called the number that they provided, which was 800-229-0370, and was sent to a rep who said they are based in Orlando.  I asked what their website is and she said they didn't have one because they are a new company.  Cha-ching!

Be aware -- once you are in their system, they have already pulled credit reports and done a lot of research in order to assume your identity.  If they call you, immediately sign up for a credit monitoring service even if you don't give them any information.

Why are you people giving your information out over the phone. I gave this guy fake info all the way through the call to see what this was all about. He asked for my credit card number that started with a 4.  Why would anyone give the other 15 digits?  Is that what some of you mean when you say he knew part of your card number already?  He didn't know anything about me.  He was just doing cold calls looking for someone stupid enough to give their information to him.  I was thinking in my head that there is no way anyone would give these people the information they are asking for, then I google the number and start reading all these posts.  I'm in shock!  No wonder these scams will never end.  Apparently we have an abundance of stupid people for them to feed off, and I don't use the term stupid lightly.  If you don't know any better then you might be ignorant.  Giving your personal and financial information to some fool on the phone makes you stupid.  And if it makes you made to be called stupid, then it's worse then you think. And just so everyone knows... what these people are doing isn't illegal.  It should be illegal to pray off the elderly and the stupid people, but it's not.

I too was called by this company wanting to lower my credit card interest rates and I asked to be taken off their call list.  Unfortunately the very next day I was called by this same company again. Their accents sounded as if they were from a region of the Far East- perhaps India or Indonesia. Beware they have polished and perfected their conversational dialogs and the anticipated responses to questions to make it appear official or as if they actually work for Visa card or Master card and they don't.   Something is very fishy about them.

Here is how they work. They have you on the phone while they call your credit card company. They then, with your authorization, transfer the remaining balance on your credit card to a lower interest rate. What you already owe does not get the lower interest rate. In addition, your credit card company does not usually charge you for this transfer but these people charge you $1,000 or more. What you are actually doing is paying them to call your credit card company and transfer your remaining balance to a low interest rate when you could do this yourself for free. This is a SCAM and it needs to be stopped.
I am working with my credit card company now to dispute my transaction. Never again will I be so gullible.

Everthing exactly as listed in the above notes. I feel so stupid. I gave them all my information to lower my interest rates. After all that, I didn't feel good so I googled this number (888-333-3857) and 888-826-1162 and saw all these messages. I immedately called my CC company. My credit card company told me I had to call them back to get more information and ask why they would charge me to lower my rates. He told me to report back to them. I called the number I was given and was told Victor - who is now my financial advisor was on another line. The took two recordings of me saying Yes so I basically think I am screwed! If I called my CC right away, even though I agreed to the transfer can I get it stopped????
