It's 100% a scam...I don't even live in a region that excel supplies or works in, 2nd I use geo thermal and solar to heat my home, 3rd the utilities are in my girlfriend's name. I called them and we're supposed to remove my name number in December. Total b.s.

So if it is not a scam, explain to me why they are calling me when my bills are NOT late...

It has to be a scam, I have Xcel and my bills are current. I have been late before and have NEVER had this number call me, they have sent me a notice in the mail. When Xcel has called my house when I have had them come to my house the number is always an 800 number with their company name. Be smart call Xcel directly to make sure, never give out your information to anyone.

I would like to know more information guys to identify the suspect your help will be sent forward to FBI Agent Dave Joly in DENVER we still searching over and over again and  we got nothing but i would like to ask you guys your help do you pay your payment Automatically or always via phone or via mail because if you guys paying online maybe someone has access to your email and this information could be collected from spam messages

I've gotten about 4 of these calls the last few months. All claiming to be Xcel, calling for a man named "Jarrard".

THIS IS NOT XCEL AND DO NOT CALL THEM BACK!!!!  ITS A SCAM!!!!  I have received a message from this number two times in the last week.  It says its Xcel Energy and that I have to call them back by 9pm CST and it even mentions my full name.  My Xcel Bill is current but I've called back both times to try and get a person to get them to stop calling.  When I call back it says they want to see if I qualify for a energy efficiency study.  After choosing options it goes to a recording that says I have won a free cruise for two to the Bahamas and all I have to pay are the $59 port fees.  I also tried calling after 9pm CST and it says the number has changed and is no longer in service.  Shady people and I don't know how they got my info but they need to stop calling

This is from the Xcel Energy credit department.  I recently got a prepaid phone and they were calling the new number that I was assigned.  I called to have them remove the number so we will see what happens from here.   I assume this was some type of debt collections department.

I get calls from these people and have no account with them at all for anything. So who they are trying to fool is beyond me but, that is okay some bi*** named conception is using my number or had it once and had an account and she and the company are going to learn the hard way because I have told the company numerous times to stop calling me that it is not her number, I have no idea who she is or where she is I have never even known her and do not wish to but, since they refuse to get the message that is okay harassment charges are going to be filed and numbers are going to be changed. I am sick of liars and cheaters and scammers who think they can do whatever they want to just because they can. Well you know what those of us who are being abused can too.

My bill isn't even remotely late. I paid early and the full amount. I called xcel and they said if you have a payment arrangement they have an automatic service that calls 3 days before the due date even if it was paid already. She was courteous and helpful. I love xcel personally.

Your service Absolutely sucks!!! You guys left us with no service for 5 days now!!!! Your Customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with!!! If there was another energy provider in are area we would go with them!!! You suck!!!

Thousands of consumers no longer have a home landline, just a cell phone.  In that case your cell phone number will be your primary number.  I received an automated call from Xcel Energy last week on my cell, 800-895-8999, called back as I knew my bill was paid.  The rep could not find any reason for me to be called.   Xcel Energy will accept a direct debit from your checking or savings, at no charge, or you can use a credit or debit card.  Never pay to anyone calling you.

Just got a call from this number, then I called xcel, yes, fake number NOT xcel.
