Bogus Directory telemarketer from REED Directory of American Business. This is not associated with Reed Business Publications, though they play off of the name to trick you. DO NOT confirm your listing information with them! They will invoice you, send you to collections, bug the crap out of you, etc. Ask them if they are affiliated with infotel or Ted and Shawn Frank. They should quickly hang up on you then. Look it up on ripoffreport.com. Can't wait for mainstream video phones so I can give these folks the finger :)

I Recieved a call today. I have never talked to these people before today. They said that I had requested my information to be published several months ago. Asked them for proof of our conversation and they could not provide it. I told them that I wasn't paying for something I had never agreed to or heard of. Telemarketer said she was sending me to collections.  Thanks for the information above.

Same thing happened to me.  What a deal.  $400 smackeroos, for nothing.  
I just got involved with so many things, I thought perhaps I forgot to pay an invoice.  So I paid it, last year.  Fortunately I did the google thing for the phone number reversal, and gained all the wonderful insight from other folks.  They've called me a half a dozen times in the last two days.  Tried number back, always busy.  Guess I'm going have to turn on my ringer, so when they call I can share some wisdom.

They Got Me

This company keeps calling to conferm your business address and phone number, to send you a invoice for this year renewel for the published directory, I told them I did not pay for any listing and they tell you committed to a 2 years contract last year, and they just want to conferm the information. I already know the trick because I seen the report on line so I hang up the phone.

Trick call that leads to invoicing by Reed Publishing, or REED Directory of American Business (Not affiliated with Reed Business Publications... tricky b*****ds). The bogus directory Telemarketers scam you into confirming your business address and information that they already have from your sold information, offer to send you a printed version of the published directory along with a $400 invoice for your listing without your agreement to be listed. Good luck understanding what the rep is babbling, because it sounds like the call center is somewhere in India. Numerous complaints filed in canada and with the New York District Attorney (where they ship from). look it up at ripoffreport.com and search "Reed Publishing" or "Frank Family Scam".
