Please help me , same thing happen to me , everyweek they call me and harass me , please help me , at the moment im paying them everyweek but , these people are very threatening and always uses court proceedings to scare me , please help me ti find out if this is legit ,

Did they MAIL you proof of debt and proof that they have the legal right to collect said debt?  Or did they just call and demand immediate payment/arrangements?  Per the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), they must mail proof of debt/proof they have the legal right to collect this debt within five days of their first call to you.  Refusal to mail this documentation - do NOT accept email or fax - is a violation of federal law and you should not pay them!

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim?s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims? relatives, friends, and employers.

Yes it is a scam.  Ignore them.   Criminal charges are only filed by the District Attorney.  No charges are filed w/o a police investigation, if there were pending charges against you a police detective would have already interviewed you.  No debt collector has any influence over any District Attorney.  They are trying to frighten you into giving them money.   Typical kitchen-table debt scammer.

Got to police and make a complaint of extortion.  Contact California Attorney general.  Make a complaint there.

Correction: they are a bott feeding collection company that are not even a real company. Look them up on FTC and BBB they are no where to be found. I received a letter from AG's office stating it is fraud. Just wanted to correct myself and give update. Ignore them!

DO NOT pay these people! They are a bottom feeding illegal company that attempts to scare you with All types of things. They attempted to call me and I informed them that I was repressed by a lawyer and gave them my lawyers info. They said they would make contact with my lawyers office, and guess what......they got scared and never did once I told them I reported them. They all sound the same and refuse to give you any info such as address. If you have given them any credit card info....I would contact your bank and get a new one. File a complaint with the FTC and Attorneys generals office including their "names" and phone numbers they are calling from. Good luck but don't fall for it, I sure didn't !!

If they don't provide you with a written statement of the debt and have it delivered by US mail, then I'd just ignore them.

Sure sign of a debt scammer is worthless threats of "jail" and "fraud" and "arrest" and all that nonsense.  

If they claim to be a state agency then all you have to do is call that state agency to verify the claim.  But of course they're not; they are kitchen-table debt scammers working out of someone's house.

I got a call from National pre litigation services as well. They first contacted my brother and left a message saying there were legal proceedings against me and they were looking for me etc.. So my brother called me and gave me there number. First it was  Kevin Brown, then Bruce Michaels. When I call the number back it's a machine and connects you to a legal dept. I spoke with 'Andrew Love' who sounded just like Bruce. I asked if they were collections he said no, they are pre litigation and they are trying to keep me from getting charges filed at San Diego superior court for de frauding a financial institution. That charges aren't being filed for payday loan but for defrauding a financial institution. I told him I talked to my lawyer and that it's against the law to reveal info to my brother he said to send him the message! Then they will look into it and that the people who call are from a company in my area and that he is with the litigation team. Is this legal? Can I be charged for this? The loan didn't get paid because someone made outrageous charges online to my acct so it was frozen... Is this really a scam and what should I do?

We have been receiving threatening phone calls also under the name of hfs arbitration for a pay day loan that never happened. We have been to our bank and printed all of our accounts and there has never been a deposit or a request for a loan from PdL Ventures. The threats have been for check fraud and jail time. We have been hung up on harassed by multiple nasty unprofessional people. Anytime you question the validity of what the debt is for they either hang up or become belligerent and threatening. They are always fishing for additional information that I will not provide them. I have asked for documentation to no avail. I have questioned as to what state agency they are calling from. They cannot provide anything.

I am also getting phone calls from this "National Pre Litigation Firm", and I have spoke to a "William Nelson", "Jason White", "Moses Smith", and "Isaiah Monroe". I was told that they were representing a pay day loan company and would have me thrown in jail for fraud. They said they would speak to their attorneys and see if they were willing to "work" with me. I became very suspicious when I contacted the original company, and was told they had never heard of this company, and gave me the correct company. I then called them, and I was informed by their representative that they had been getting many calls from people stating this "National Pre Litigation Firm" had been contacting the threatening them as well, and they were a complete fraud. I requested supervisor's information, their physical and mailing addresses, and I was then told they were given permission by the attorney general's office to not give out that information because they had been threatened lol I decided to seek legal advice, and was advised to file complaints with the FTC, as well as the state attorney general's office. This company is a complete fraud, and the guy got scared after I started asking a million questions, and they stopped answering my calls. Be careful people, and file complaints with the FTC and the AG office. You can do it online, it only takes a few minitues, and it's completely free. Also the number they were calling me from is 18668163703.

The same guy called me with the same bull. I called the person I owed directly and they informed me that it was most likely a scam and to call the collection agency that now has my account. They also told me it was a scam and that they do not do business with National Pre-Litigation Law Firm.

I got a call from them on March 6th, 2014 and have been chasing down their wherabouts ever since because they would not give me any info. They are a bottom feeding collection agency, not attorneys. I got the same exact message, called them back and got the info on the "case" that they had for a payday loan from 2009 that is not on my credit and the police department as well as all three credit bureaus have the police reports and criminal case file of the girl that stole mail from everyone on our street and is currently sitting in jail for identity theft. It is out of stat for my state, they said that they had charges of fraud filed in my county, named the county and that is not where the loan was taken out or where I have ever lived, and threatened to have me put in jail. I called the county I live in as well as the county they stated and there is nothing filed anywhere under my name and SSN. They said that a process server would serve me with all of the necessary paperwork for my court case. It is now 3 weeks later to the day and I have not received any mail or been contacted again about this. That process server is really bad at their job!!! Anywho, I have filed suit for threats, disclosing info to a third party, oh the list goes on and on. I suggest you do the same.

My son recieved a call from 866 8191198 the left a long message on his phone we saved the message.  It was a man named Isaiah Monroe looking for my other son. Stated that they where doing an investigation and needed to locate him. That there was a pending action against him that would've filed in the superior court.  The left a case number and at the end of the message it stated that this message was notifying my son.  Then proceeded to say that my son still had time to speak to the plaintiff and to call.  National.  That is it.  So I called them this morning.   Twice.   The first time I asked what company this was the stated national. An attorney office I then asked for the attorneys name and where they are located.she proceeded to tell he she could not give me that information and hung up on me.   I called back got a different girl I asked if this was an atty office she said no they are apre litigation firm.  I asked if they where a collection agency she said she couldn't give me that information and again I was hung up on.    Has anyone heard if thus comoany

I have been getting phone call for a "private Locator" that according to him works for United Pre litigation Firm.  He refuses to give me any information according to him it has to do with my brother and wanting to take him to Court for a loan.  But he doesn't know what is this about??  

I got contacted today by a company called PDL Ventures out of Delaware and the number is 1-877-331-5078 the women I spoke to seemed pretty ligit answering all my questions and truely that I did take out a lone in 2009 but thought it was paid for automatic deduction from my checking but appearently their stating it was not and I was being sued. The women I spoke to Ann-Marie Johnson said I was going to recieve an email and a hard copy in the mail as well. IS THIS TRUE? should I contact my bank and change all my info?

This is the same company that has been harassing my Mom and my boss at work telling them I am in a lot of trouble for fraud. They leave messages that are very threatening and always end the message with 'you have been officially warned'. I tried getting them to send me paperwork about the claim and they won't send me anything. They also refuse to give me their address. I filed a report on the better business bureau website against them. I am hoping this will stop them from harassing my Mom and my boss at work.

I got a call today from this same company threatening that if i did not pay 600 they would summons me to court tried to make arrangments they wanted the full payment . Next time they call tell them to go s*** a d***!

I just got a call from this number 888-324-0701 identifying themsevles as United firms a pre-litigation firm..is this the same company? Are they really a law firm or is it actually a collections agency? Spoke with a Pricilla, Maria and a Mr. Rodiguez (supervisor) Stating that since I did not get a payday loan paid off they are trying to help me take care of this before I get taken to court for fraud. Trying to find out if they can do this. Telling me the call my daughter was from a "Locator" a Joe Baler who doesn't work for them because I pulled the misrepresentation card on them as a debt collector and that if I don't set payment arrangements today or by next Friday legal action would be taken against me. If they are in fact a debt collector that and threatening legal action is a direct violation of credit laws from my understanding.

United phone number is 1-888-567-1473 ext 311 for RUBY. I originally said I could pay on 8/30/13 not realizing the holiday so the funds will not show til Tuesday since of the long holiday weekend. I live in  MI my credit union is never open on Saturdays. This Ruby has called several times harassing and threatening me with court papers even though I am unemployed with no income until I start work again at the end of the month. The 160.36 will be deposited in my checking account on the 3rd. I use to work for a lawyer and this was called the next legal business day, extended circumstances due to the holiday. If Ruby tries to have papers served on me for the balance of 160.36 I will go to a lawyer in my family who lives in Indiana and have him file changes against her and United. Received call from 855-213-4013. Claimed to be from UCG Firm Litigation. Said she would be by to serve court papers. For what??! She couldn't tell me why, just to serve papers.

I also think that Jasmine probably works for this "company". If they actually do serve you with papers, which they probably won't there is no way that a judge is going to give a judgment to a company that is operating illegally and violating FDCPA.  Two things-if you actually are going to be served, they just find where you are be it your home or place of business and serve you, they don't notify you beforehand. Also, before a creditor can garnish your wages, they need a writ of judgment. Don't be intimidated by these illegally operating scum. Learn your rights!

By law, a collection agency needs to advise you of the debt in writing and you have thirty days to dispute the debt.  You can not be arrested. You can send a cease and desist letter.  A legal firm would provide you that information immediately.  If you truly owe the debt and it does go to litigation, you have rights to dispute in court.  What this company is doing is totally against the law.  Fair debt act.  They should read it.  They will not give you any info because they are a bottom feeding agency.  Wrong. yes....illegal TOTALLY.  If you find out where they are, call the police in that jurisdiction.  I called the police and FTC with the phone number provided.  They can be in serious trouble.

My sister received a call from this firm looking for me. They threatened her that if she didnt tell them where I was at that they were going to put a warrant out for me and arrest me. FOR    WHAT??????? I tried to locate this firm,,,,,,no luck. Its like they are a ghost.

Got a call from Brian Nichols saying he was an attorney and I had to pay 470 dollars plus 30 dollars fee for paper work,so the total was $500 due now....They called my work and threated to serve me and bring the sherriff to arrest me...Are they for real?I called back and asked for the website and they told me all sites were down beacuse of the sand storms in Arizona!!I asked them for the address as I will be in Arizona and i will come buy and pay them so I could see the court paper that they said they mailed out month ago...I asked them to resend and they said they couldnt,i said fax and theysaid they couldnt fax them..I guess they are collecting from Arrowhead Financial a Payday loan place.Are they for real?

the person above is COMPLETELY lying and probably from the company! it IS  a bill collector and they can't take you to court over a payday loan...not legal.  These people claim to be a law firm but they are SO not.  If they are in litigation as claiming they wouldn't be trying to collect like a collection agency...they are completely unprofessional and can't provide any paperwork to support their words...don't be scared into paying them anything over the phone. I received the same call a while ago and I just passed it off as a bill collector. Well they told me about being arrested. i ended up going to court, and now they are garnishing my wages. It is real. My only advice is to pay your bill before u end up like me. Totally teed off.

My references  just received a phone call from this number, they want to verify my address to serve me so if your friends get calls from them tell them not to give out any of your info
