The Caller ID just said Not Provided but the message said they were Safelink and that we needed to contact them to keep our service.  We don't have Safelink, but we've only had this home phone number for about 6 weeks.

I have an even better way to deal with these, lets just call them PEOPLE (I don't believe in swearing). I also have cable with a fax machine in between the modem and phone. I set the fax to pick-up and make that annoying noise. It seemed to cut down the numbers of unwanted calls to just one. I did it for a week and screened calls, but I also informed family and friends first.

I'm sad to report that these same clowns have been after me, too.  If I understand it correctly, they are trying to collect on a debt they say I owe to HSN.  Except -- I get a monthly bill from HSN and have paid the amount they asked every month since I opend the accout with them.  Besides which -- in Michigan you don't HAVE to deal with a collection agency -- you can choose to go directly to the debt holder.  I will NEVER deal with these folks.  They've been calling here from 8 AM to 11PM (which is also illegal in Michigan).  Heh heh -- I also have cable telephone -- and I pay like $3 a month to add the message service to my phone.  But I never bothered to set it up.  Now the phone will ring 5 times -- and it switches into a recording that says :sorry, the customer that has this number has not yet set up or recorded a message.  Please try again another time"  Yes, I would think that becomes infuriating after the 25th or 30th time they get the same thing.  I live with fibromyalgia and my sleep patterns are totally skewed -- I resent being woken up out of a semi-sound sleep by these people.  Oh, and I get collection letter that say they are going to take me to court and guarnishee my wayes.  Lottsa luck with that -- my only income is Social Security Disability -- which they cannot touch.  If they ARE so stupid as to try that -- I plan to take the Judge my checkbook and paid bills -- prove that I've paid a bil every month, never broken continuity.    It would be fun to see them get dressed down the the case dismissed, don't cha think?  As for telephones -- I have the service that is Government supported especially for us folks who live well below poverty guidelines.  I have NEVER purchased minutes for it and never will.

SHAME ON THEM -- this one calls me umpteen times a day, too. GO AWAY.

I just got a call from them today on my landline. I don't even have a cell phone (I don't want one) and I've never done business with them (I've never even heard of Net 10) so they're obviously violating the Do Not Call registry. I reported them, even though the DNC registry seems to be pretty useless. I've been on it for like 2 years now and I just keep getting more and more telemarkers calling all times of the day.

Received two calls on my landline today from Net 10,  both a recording from Susan about their 200 minute, $20 phone cards for my cell phone.  I have never had a net 10 cell phone nor have I ever had any business with Net 10. Why are they calling me on my "landline" to sell me minutes on their cell phone service which I do not have.  I am also signed up with the federal registry "Do not call" list, and they are violating this as well by calling me. Does anyone know who I would call to see to it that they get fined for calling me?
