Oh My Goodness!!! I am having the same exact problem with Elite. I have been fighting since July 2011 to get my money back. I filed a dispute with my credit card company Household Bank, now owned by Capital One, still as of today they have not issues a refund to my account. We are supposed to be able ton turn to our credit card companies to resolve issues like these when we can get no where with the merchant ourselves and our credit card aggreements sau that if we are dissatified with our mechanidise or do not receive the mechandise or product then they (Credit Card Companies) will guarantee a refund of the purchase price. Well I am here to tell you that hasn't happened yet either. I had to jump through hoops to try and get a refund with Elite, who said they would issue one and it would reflect on my statement within 2 billing cycles, never happened. Now i am jumping through hoops with my credit card company for my refund of $698.95 charged by 3 point 14 aka Elite Planning Group. I have give Household Bank Dispute Dept several detailed written accounts of my issues with Elite and they still haven't got my account credited either. They ask for my letters repeatedly, I've sent the same one 4 times, they ask for exact dates in which i attempted to contact Elite to allow them to provide the services promised and if I gave them enough time to provide the service. Well, lets see, I purchased the debt reduction program on July 11, 2011, today is February 25, 2013, do think they have had enough time to provide their services? Household Bank Credit Card Dispute Department is just as bad as Elite. I cannot get anywhere with either. What's truely sad is the only reason i even thought abput such a program was because i had at that time found out that i can never work again and would have to attempt to live off Social Security Disability.  I went from working making $6000 plus a month to $1800 a month on social security. I couldn't afford the program really to start with and they made me an offer to reduce the price from $998.95 to $698.95 which left me with less than $100 left on the credit card i used to purchase it. I thought, hey with what they are guaranteeing i won't have to worry about it anyway. I'm a thorough person' i ask questions and nit pick, I was truely amazed that i got scammed and completely appalled. I also spoke the Gary Fernandez, he said take your income tax refund and pay off as many cards as you can. I said what happened to calling the companies and negotiating to lower my rates, I'm sorry I'm unable to provide you that service since you filed a dispute with your credit card company and have also requested a refund with our company. Ok but i still haven't got a refund and if you provide the guaranteed services I'm quite sure I won't get one. Just transfer me to your supervisor or customer service department, quess what, he hung up.  I've had 3 different "financial advisors" none did as promised or guaranteed and all hung up on me. Now my card company informs me that the number they have for Elite is no longer a working number and the website is gone, says it and the name is for sale. So now what, how do we get our money back? Isn't it the responsibility of our credit card companies to give it back?

Has anyone received their refund back from Elite? I called on 9/17 was told to call back on 9/19 and guess what they told me the usual we will put a note to billing and you will have to wait another month. I've received no customer service they refuse to provide me with any documentation of my savings and refuse to refund. I already know they did not save me anything overall because the zero APR will end in Nov. and I will not only pay 13% interest on what was transferred but also interest on the $800 they refuse to refund! Elite also claims that because I'm getting a refund I will not be helped any further. This is consumer fraud at its highest level and so far I've got no hope that anything will be done. If the only thing the BBB and CC company is going  to do is call Elite then they are not going to have any better luck. They are allowed to steal the consumer's money and lie about saving them $2,500 and just keep doing it totally unchecked!

I also was scammed and only received papers no cd. I was told I was going to get a refund by some manager Amy and that was for sure by July 15. I called and they said wait 4 days I called again and they tell me August 15. It is now August 17 and they tell me September. I think my lawyer is correct they are just scam artists and I will never see my $786.95. The consultant basically did nothing but suggested that I should get offer for zero APR and then he helped set it up with the bank. I could do this myself as I got the offer in the mail.  I was told I would get documentation of my $2,500 savings I still have not gotten this paper. I just get the run around. I will also will be calling the Attorney General of Michigan so others can become aware of this as well as Attorney General of AZ, the BBB and Federal Trade Commission. These people need to be stopped.

Finally received a refund after 8 months! EPG rep from the "billing department" called and said they had been out of business since December 2011 and could not process refunds. She had me call my cc company to dispute the charge - cc sent paperwork to EPG who then okayed the refund within 3 days.

I'm still getting soliciting phone calls from the same recorded line (even though I'm on the No Call List) so I'm guessing they're operating under a new name now.

Not yet. They said they will refund it but its more than 2 months. I contacted them and the customer service agent says she has contacted the billing department and they will give it back in a month. If this money does not come back, I will file legal action because they did not returned the money in a timely manner they have stated.

These fraudsters may also go by the name "Nova Foundation" - charged a $998 temporary fee to be held in deposit, to consolidate credit card debt, then would refund the money.  Phished for victim's credit card numbers and CVV code numbers from the back of the cards.  Next day, victim had unauthorized charges to her cards.  Spoke with purported Jacob Kitchins at 855-462-3834 X5856

I've been dealing with them since last Sept. when they scammed my elderly/disabled mother.  They charged her the same amount they charged you and never provided any kind of service. When I called to get her money back they were rude adn beligerent.  They did however say they would have the money refunded within 48 hrs.  Here we are 6 mos later adn still they have not refunded the money.  I have filed a complaint with the FTC and the AZ Attorney General Office.  I'm appalled that they have such a huge repuation for fraud, they have an "F" rating with the BBB and yet they remain operational?!  How is that possible???

My question is how can you cxl your cc with a balance on it?  Did your credit card company work with you with regards to this claim?  Ours keeps saying that they need all kinds of paperwork...

I contacted them after they received my package. They stated that I am eligible for refund, which they submitted on Dec. 30.  of 2011. However, I won't receive that refund after 30 days of the billing cycle. Thank gosh. Now I need to wait till they give me that refund end of January. I hope things will work out smoothly as possible.

Thank you for the response. I just received the package as well. Its folded or laminated or anything. All I see is the CD and a few forms. How did you return it? Should I just put it in another envelope and return it via USPS certified? Also do I have to leave a note just to make sure that they know who it is from?

Got me too.  I was trying to google stuff while talking on the phone but wasn't able to.  Authorized the charge and then did my research.  Found you guys and canceled the card, but will still need to wait for the charge to go through and then dispute it.  I know better!  RATS.

Your money was stolen. Promising a refund is a stall. You should notify law enforcement and change any account numbers that you may have revealed to these thieves. Waiting for some refund is only going to make them harder to catch.

Are you intentionally trying to be offensive or does it just come naturally to you? People on this page are trying to look for help and all I've done is described my experience. If I don't get the refund, I'll be sure to update my comments; obviously I've been doing just that so far.

Are you saying the people who fell for their scam should just give up and call it a loss?

I received it a few days after ordering, but I live in the same city they sent it from. I opened the envelope it came in and the CD is in a foldout holder (not shrink wrapped), so you can pull them out without cutting anything open.

You are required to return it by certified mail. I was so upset when I spoke to the CSR about cancelling that I was sobbing - he said he'd have the manager contact me, but that took a days. When the manager finally called me back, I quoted the refund policy on their website and she acknowledged that if I returned the package they could "review my account" to see if I was eligible for a refund. The manager said the only identifiable information I needed to send was my name and phone number (that's how the CSRs access your account when you call). I typed up a letter of complaint regarding their service and the problems I encountered when speaking with their CSRs; and included my phone number, mailing address, and name.

No one called me when it was received, so I called in the following Monday. It's a pain to get the refund but I figure it's punishment for me being ignorant.

Don't feel bad! They were very convincing :(
I would recommend calling before you send the package so that they make note in their system. I don't know what would happen if you didn't - maybe nothing, but I haven't seen posts from anyone else yet that did the refund. Good luck!

Unfortunately I have not received my refund yet. They said it would take 1-2 billing cycles (30-60 days). It's been 30 days so far and still no refund. Called customer service and they told me the same thing. All I can do now is wait and hope it comes...

Can you give me more details about this refund? I ordered it because I was ignorant last week. Do you know how long it takes to deliver after the transaction? Also the condition of returning it. After I receive the package, do I return it by certified mail? Can I open the package but not the CD? Do I need to contact them first or leave a note in the box? Please help me because I am stupid and ignorant.

I received a call on my cell phone (which is supposedly on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY) from Joan Anderson at 503-902-8252; she gave me an ID # 08724, whatever that means.  She told me I qualified for credit card interest rate reduction because of my high cc balance and on-time payments.  She managed (stupid me!) to get my VISA card number, exp. date, and mailing address out of me.  She said the information would be "shredded" when the processing was complete.  I was then transferred to Matthew Franklin (ID # 3340) , who continued to tell me that I would be guaranteed $2500 reduction in expenses (over the life of the payoff) and would be charged $898 up front -- to be refunded if I didn't see a reduced interest rate by the next statement.  His phone number was 661-246-9872 according to my cell phone.  I balked when he wanted to transfer me to another person to record all my information "on tape".  The customer service number he gave me was for the "Elite Planning Group" : 888-355-2702.

I got this call too. My phone said 503-563-1068 from Sandy, OR. But it was the Elite Planning Group with the same 1-888-355-2702 customer service number. As I was talking to them I was Googling the name and found this site. When I tried to back out, they got really belligerent to me and hung up on me. I called my credit card company right way and got a new care.

The number they called me from was 503 902-8259. I googled the name & got this forum......SCAM PEOPLE! I called & cancelled my credit card so the charge for $995.95 will be good. Thankfully I called sooner than 24hrs, as the charge would have been pending if I called later in the week. I hate when I get fooled, but as soon as I hung the phone up I got very suspicious!  BEWARE!

I want to thank you for this website.  I think it just saved me and my wife a lot of money.  I overheard my wife talking on the phone to some people who claimed to takeout interest rate down to. 6% which sounded way too good to be true. I googled the company and you guys came up and I imediatly told her to hang up. Thank you guys again for your site!!!

Update:  tried to log into my credit card account today and found it closed as requested.  called the credit card company to verify account had been closed and whether the fee ($898.95) had tried to come through.  Of course, the ATTEMPT was made, but I apparently caught it in time and it was rejected by my credit card company.  I will keep checking to make 100% sure, but wanted to provide an update to the others that I think I avoided the scam and beat them at their own game!  Thank you Lord!!

It is now 11/29....have you received your refund?  I am hopeful that my credit card was closed prior to the charge going thru...I called my credit card immediately after reading these horror stories and within minutes of hanging up from Elite Planning.  I'm not usually so dumb, but I guess debt affects people in different ways.  Good luck!

So, I just a few minutes ago spoke to these people, and my call came from a 253-246-8503 number (Brian Banks Fed ID# 2694, Financial Adviser - Adria Mirian Fed ID# 1718 and Robert in the "verification department), all very nice, and all sounding authentic, etc., especially with the Fed ID numbers provided.  Was not thrilled with the $898.95 fee involved but I let them keep going until the end because it has been my intention to contact my credit card companies DIRECTLY (THIS WEEK!) to try to get my interest rates lowered and thought this might be easier.  However, within moments of hanging up, I decided to google "Elite Planning Group" and ended up here, and am now seeing the SCAM, SCAM, SCAM words and other horror stories.  Although I had given authorization to charge my credit card with their fee, once I read all of the above stories, I called my credit card company immediately, and they have effectively shut down my account so HOPEFULLY, the charge will not go through.  If it does, my credit card company says I'll need to call back to dispute the charge, but she thinks she shut down the account before the charge comes thru.  We will see.  People need to google these companies prior to even speaking to them...myself included.  I was also advised that NO credit card company would call the consumer offering to reduce the rate, but it is the CONSUMER who CAN make the call to the credit card company to inquire into same.  Wish me well!

I got the call today too. "Tony" was so nice and genuine, telling me he took pride in his work and was just happy to help people solve their debt problems. I told him that I was uncomfortable giving him my credit card info because of all the scams out there these days. He told me that he was glad that I was aware and concerned about identity theft and assured me that he wasn't stealing my number. I was then transferred to Melissa Newman, who gave me her number (888-355-2702) and told me about all the money I could save. The cost of their help.... $798.95. At this point a red flag came up (thank god) and I told Melissa that I couldn't make a decission like that without talking to my husband first. She told me to put her on hold and call him, which I did. My husband and one of his co-workers also got this call recently, he told me to hang up asap. Melissa called back twice after I hung up! Once from #503-468-5545, then from #720-878-7704. She left a message telling me that she'd be happy to talk to my husband. I give them credit... they are good! It saddens me that they are doing this right before the holidays, I could have really used lower APR on my cards!
I don't feel like such a push over knowing that others fell for this too. I called my card company and had them close the account.
Thank you for sharing your experience with these scam artists.

I got this call today as well.  As soon as I said that I wasn't interested in a 999 dollar charge, the "financial planner,"  who gave me the last name Jenkins, became abusive..  I called the fraud departments for my all of my credit cards and canceled my accounts just in case.  I can't believe that this company is legally in business

Glad I reisted at the last minute. Real high pressure making ou feel you can not say no. They will save thousands of  interest dollars. I even went so far as to give them my credit card info except the 3 didgit security number on back of card. I got so worried when I heard the initial charge is $995.00, that I said "NO THANKS". Then, I called my credit card company and forwarned  them about this. They have NO connection with this high pressure scam, and I watch my transactions on the computer to be SURE they did not get far enough to charge my card. Thank goodness....
