you really should notify the company that is calling you that you no longer want to be contacted,   or even the donotcall registry.     that company probably doesn't look at this site.

Yep, this is about the 3rd or 4th number supposedly by American Heart Association I am complaining about.  If it is indeed from AHA, then they SHOULD have their name when caller ID shows up instead of 'Toll free caller' AND they should leave a message saying "we are the AHA and inquiring...." and then don't call back.  If the person doesn't call you back, TAKE THE HINT.

This is only ONE of the American Heart Association numbers. The issue I have is that they phone and there is NO ONE on the line when you pick up the phone. The AHA is particularly rude that way. To get on their DO-NOT-CALL list, call them directly and talk to a representative. Just simply ask to be on their list. Now let me see if they actually stop calling. Of ALL the 800 numbers I get, the AHA is the most prevalent and they call under MULTIPLE NUMBERS, not just one. Please complain to the BBB if you are continually harassed by their no-answer calls, like I am.

i have also been haranged relentlessly EVERY day for at least 2 weeks.  They call 7 days a week, starting at around 8:20 AM.  They have, so far, called from about 8-10 different numbers, so it does no good to try to block them.  ONE THING IS FOR CERTAIN: The American Heart Association will NEVER, EVER get one penny from me.

Some people like RR Worker just never learned that the human head was never intended to be used as a proctoscope. These clueless losers are usually characterized as being "As Dumb as The Come and Then Some". Worst of all, they are they are not just ignorant, they are arrogant as well.

This is one of many numbers for the American Heart Assoc.  I would suspect that if you called them you could have your name removed from their call list. As a charity, they don't have to adhere to the Do Not Call rules (but it's still annoying to have them call over and over.)  They will likely keep calling until you tell them to stop.

Do not call list doesn't work with scammers who want personal info like SS/credit card number. Also doesn't keep real or fake charities from calling, politicians, debt collectors looking for someone else, and anyone you have ever done business with, from calling you. Get a phone that blocks calls, a call blocking device or get caller ID, turn off ringer and let your calls go to voice mail. If we don't know the number we don't answer the phone. If they leave a message and we need to we call them back.

Just for a call from 888-355-7209. Caller ID just said TOLL FREE CALLE.  I didn't answer, they left no message. Another poster reported this as the American Heart Assn Good Neighbor Program.  I looked up this organization on both Charity Navigator and the BBB Wise Giving Alliance.  It isn't listed on either place, so they must be some kind of scam.

Most phone companies offer a free or low cost service called Anonymous Call Rejection (ACR).  It blocks all calls from which the caller conceals their identity or phone number,  such as PRIVATE CALLER or TOLL FREE CALLER.

With AT&T and Suddenlink, you turn on ACR by getting a dial tone and then pressing *77.  It can be turned off by pressing *78. I think I am going to turn on my ACR.

He is only pointing what people are putting on this page about being on the do not call list.  I agree with him.  He  says nothing about not getting such calls.  You must be a bit dense yourself for having missed that.  Anyways, lets just write what the call is about.  Another stupid thing is people saying "stop calling me" as if this is the site to accomplish that.  Now that is stupid.

I've been haranged with "anonymous" calls for the past two weeks.  Nearly all appear to be (when I look # up on-line) from the American Heart Association.  I block one number, they call from another.  Will I be donating anything to the Heart Association?  Mmmmm, let me think.  NO!  These idiots are probably scammers any way.

These people are not the American Heart Association. They are scammers.
I got Phone Tray Pro, a call blocker. I love it. it's easy to use and inexpensive...about $60. And it zaps the calls you program it to zap after one ring with a message of your choice. The messages sound just like the real ones like: (3 tones) "The number you have called is no longer in service. Please make sure you have the right number and have dialed it correctly." There are about 10 other messages to chose from including just a fast busy sound, like your number is out of order.
You'll love it!

Called and stated that they were the "Heart Association" and that the conversation was going to be recorded. I don't think they are the real American Heart Association, but scammers. I told them that the conversation was also going to be terminated.
