Have had repeated calls from this number. Usually there is no response upon answering. Today they actually responded and it was a survey on behalf of Bank of America.  It is either a scam or a telemarketer.  They told me we would be removed from their call list.

I got a call from the number. It was customer service call to question whether I was satisfied with my service for my car. Sounds like it must be a company that handles customer service requests for larger firms.

Received a call from this number at 9:50 pm.  Said she was calling about Bank of America for a survey.  I told her I was not going to talk to someone over the phone about my banking.  The lady new my first name, where are they getting their information.

Just received a call from that number on my cell. The call came up as "NO NAME" so I do not know who it is. When I answered nobody was on the line. I looked the number up on line and found lots of complaints from a lot of people. Have any of you also received unsolicited text messages lately from North Island Credit Union or some Poker Scam? I was getting constant text messages from somebody before this.  I had to completely block all text messages on my cell phone to stop it. Now these calls have started. I am on the National Do Not Call Registry and filed a complaint with the FCC regarding the text messages. I have now filed a complaint with the DNC registry for the phone call. I am with Verizon Wireless although I may switch when my contract is up in another month. They were pretty useless in stopping any of this.

Got a call from them yesterday. It was a obvious middle easterner saying they worked for the US Govt. and that I was going to receive $500 a month for the next six months. Kept asking questions in order to get me to say yes. I never did, and asked him who he represented, he again said the US Govt. I told him to give me his number and I would have my attorney call him back to get all the details, then he hung up.

Received calls on 4/25/08 and two on 4/26/08.  Like the other comments, the caller hung up when the answering machine picked up.  When calling the number back, I also received a message saying "The number you have called is no longer in service".  This was a user generated message not a Telco messsage (no tones before the message).

We, also, have been getting these calls, but we do NOT answer any number we do not recognize from our caller ID..This caller never leaves a voice message or my husband would recognize (my husband has the uncanny ability to recognize voices on the phone/tape/in-person from just a single time if he has heard the voice once before--even years ago and who it is--it might take a day or two, but he can replay the voice over + over and just like an older R+R song he'll have the artist, music label name and song title ID'd..

I have gotten at least one call a day from these people. When i cll back the number is disconnected, the next time they call they use a differnt number. I tell them i am on the do not call list and to not call me again and they laugh at me and keep doing it. They will not say why they are calling and use a false name "kristine" as their excuse, only problem no one with that name has ever had my phone number. How can i stop these calls?

I JUST got a call from 888-357-3691 to my cell phone. No voicemail was left. I DO bank with B of A so I'm gettint freaked out now. I'm gonna check my account and call in make sure everything's still good.

This number 1-888-357-3691 called me today at 6:52pm and I just called it back and I get the "number you are calling is no longer in service" and I decided to google and found this site!!!

We have been receiving calls from this number 888-357-3691 every day. Most of the time I do not answer but when I do no one is there. It is very frustrating. We are on the do not call list as well and our number is unlisted. Actually I hope someone does answer at some point because I am going to rip soemone a new one!!!

Called tonight while I was having dinner. I answered, stuck the phone to my butt and blew gas into the receiver. Then I went back to eating my Pot Roast.

ok well my phone has been off for the past week i finally get it charged and turn it on- 5 MISSED CALLS? ALL FROM THIS NUMBER! i decide to call back(yes at 5 in the morning)and it says that it is no longer in service!!!!WTF IS WITH THAT!!! I also got a 1-888-357-3691 # and i called it back and nobody was there... the only time i have that he called me was 12:13 PM march 19.. hope it helps

to the above that I usually don't answer the phone if I don't know the caller, but rather call them back (I suppose they have a caller ID, so if they will call me back and ask for Mrs. Smith, under that my phone is listed, but this is NOT my name... then I will know that...)... A machine said "the number you are calling is no longer in service" ... WTF!

Thanks guys for posting all these messages. I picked up the phone, but did not answer, since I was watching a movie on my laptop. A woman was on the line, but hang up... then I came to the web to search for this number, when I read all these messages... Time when they called 3/22/2008 1:40 PM CST.

I keep my phone on vibe and so i havent answered the phone and i dont intend to after reading all of this. The advice here is great, you should never answer your phone and give personal info EVER!!!! everyone who calls you that is legit already has the info they need.

I received numerous calls from this number. I picked up this time, told them I had researched the number, that it was a scam, and that I would not be giving them any information. They claimed to be from B of A.

Same number calling every day for several days

I have a voicemail from this phone # and it was very creepy and kinda scared me... it was a guy saying my first name in a really slow deliberate manner ... reminded me of a horror movie.  I was wracking my brain to figure out if an ex boyfriend was spoof calling me until I googled the # and found this site... guess it was a telemarketer having some fun when I didn't answer.

This is the second time in 2 days this # has called.  I do NOT have Amex, I did NOT recently buy a car, I do NOT have a Banana Republic card, but I DO have Bank of America, but I have not called them to inquire about anything in at least a few months.  PLEASE LET THIS MADNESS STOP!!!!!!!!!!

Last evening I got a call from this number (888)357-3691, my son answered and they asked for me. The person on the line said they were calling from Bank of America.
It was 8:50 pm and I was exhausted from a long day at work and the heavy snow storm. He told them I was sleeping. He then came downstairs and woke me up to tell me they called and I immediately tried to call back the number on the caller ID. The response I got was a recording stating "this number is no longer in service". HMMMM no longer in service, It was in service 5 minutes prior.
I immediately went to check to make sure I had all my Bank cards, which I did, and I also called Bank of America (the number on the back of my card), which was not the same as the one that called, by the way. I got in touch with a Cust. Serv. Rep. and told them of the phone call, asked him if everything was ok with my accounts, if anyone was trying to be fraudulent or anything and he assured me everything was fine and had no record of anyone trying to call me.
If anyone ever calls you on the phone I hope that everyone is smart enough to tell them you will call them back and then call the ligit number for the company they claim to be. Do NOT ever give any info to anybody over the phone. If you dont recognize a number you can also GOOGLE the number and you may be able to get reverse information on that number.

Have been getting calls from this and other numbers for weeks. They always hang up on my answering machine. Hit *69 and called the number back, got a recorded message saying the number was no longer in service. Annoying.

got a few calls from these people on my phone. i am behind on a few bills so i expect calls like this, but call it back to find out who and i get the same number no longer in service message. 888-357-3691.

They keep calling, and I keep not answering... my cell is unpublished, so I dont know how they got my number!

They have been calling my house constantly.  Doesn't leave a message.  One time it was BAnk of America, then one time (same number) 1-888-357-3691, qulifying me for a 30 year loan.  SCAM....SCAM...DO NOT WASTE TIME.  IF you have caller ID, don't pick up.  If you do not and happen to answer, just hang up.  FRAUD!  I also called Bof A, they do not have such toll free number.

Have received atleast two calls from this number - I haven't answered either time to see what they want - of course, they don't leave a message.  When I called the number, it says it is no longer valid.  Geesch!

Got the call... When I called back I got a "no longer in service" message.
