They called me yesterday late afternoon, left a threatening message saying I wrote a bad check to someone didn't say who, or place of business? Then said if I didn't call back I would be served papers. Claimed he worked for the State of Florida.. Most law firms or departments of State don't threaten with serving papers for a bad check. That I believe usually goes threw a court system, either you pay the complaintant, or you go to court and dispute or pay the check in full, plus court fee's.

they called a family member of mine today and left a voicemail saying that I apparently had a bad check and they were going to serve me with papers if I didnt call back by 5pm...That is illegal to disclose that sort of info on a 3rd party voicemail...2nd-they advised (on voicemail) that they would take the info to the court tomorrow morning if I didnt reply.
I have not written a check in 7 years...its a load of crap...and he did not say who he was from...just sounded threatening.
