Receiced call from John Baker representing himself as Merchant Services  who advised us our rates should have been reduced since April 09. Wanted copies of the bank pages of our statements. We called Moneris who confirmed this was a scam. DO NOT SEND YOUR STATEMENTS TO THESE PEOPLE.

Second time in the past few months I've been called by this group (Cdn Merchant Association). Different person this time. Both callers were very insistant that I send my company's most recent Merchant Statement so they could determine whether I'm being charged the correct rates. The caller today said that she would be my account representative and would be calling periodically to review statements. I'm on the west coast and she really pressed me to send the info ASAP as they were in Quebec and would be going home soon. I told her I wouldn't be able to send anything for at least 1-1/2 hours and she said she'd wait!! Very Fishy. Didn't and won't be sending anything.

Called claiming to be a broker for Credit Card companies such as Moneris claming to be able to get better rates for credit, and debit card use.

Seemed to have answers about your business, but can't find reference to such a company on the internet search.

He was very consisant that I sent to him right away, and then would call back to see if I was going to send it.

Has call me several time in the last couple of weeks. And today so far has called 3 times to see if I was sending it. Seems very strange to me!!!!And has sometimes ben very rude if I make wait for me to serve a customber as he want the info. NOW !!!

Caller wanted to inform us that our POS provider should have advised us of a recent reduction in rates in June.  He then proceeded to press for our POS supplier information.  When I explained that I don't give out that sort of thing to just anyone, he cut me off.

(888) 362-3751 wanted to know who was responsible for our Credit cards.  I told her I would report them as I have requested several times to be removed from their calling list.  I am fed up with these calls and they always say if must be from another company!  Same number though!!

Calls about the merchant account for VISA and MasterCard.
We do not accept either card, therefore no merchant accout.
Total scammers fishing for business on outdated information.
Wouldn't give them a moment of my time.

Similar suspicious call, wanted statements for companys I no longer do business with when I switched POS vendors.  Claimed to be a gratitude offer directly from VISA and Mastercard lowering % rates and monthly rates without changing the company I was doing business with.

Call sounded suspecious.
When I asked for a name, phone, etc, it took 5 minutes before he gave it to me.  yes, it was billy
