AT&T won't do that. Instead, we call and they respond to our particularly questions. My network was hacked last week. I used live chat to get help from AT&T. Everything was settled before I left the live chat. Yet, this noon, several calls from phone numbers 1-888-362-6886 kept calling in. I neglected them. When I listened to the voice message later, the person said he was from AT&T and said he could assist me to reset network name and password. I think he is indeed the hacker.

Called att 4 times about an issue. Couldn't help me at all and then they blow up my phone at 1130 pm!

Definitely was AT&T's problem resolution calling me back about problem not resolved via online chat 60-90 minutes earlier. I actually had given them permission to call me if problem persisted.
A bit surprised to have them calling me at 11:15 p.m. though. From his accent, I presume it is mid-day wherever the polite gentleman I spoke to called from.

Received a call on my cell phone from 888 362-6886 because it was an 888 number I let it go into voicemail. When listening to voice mail they stated it was AT&T and I need to press one to make a payment. I'm not with AT&T for my cell phone. My AT&T bill is not overdue & has already been paid for Feb. In checking the number on line I think its from Columbia, so if you press 1 as they suggest you would be connected to Columbia. I called AT&T & their computers were down & couldn't check it for me. They didn't ask for the 888 number, guess they are not interested in protecting their customers.
