Its an automated voice that breaks up and leaves out what appears to be important info so you call back and they want the last 4 digits of your soc.sec. number but doesnt give you any other option unless you put it in...

Have had 2 calls from 888-362-8595 with a male recording voice saying they are from Bank of Omaha and to please enter your last 4 numbers of your SSN! HANG UP ON THEM, scam

I have this same problem. Exactly as you stated. Very annoying. Don't understand what they are trying to accomplish.

"First Bank" called and said to call "Kevin" back at 888-362-8595 reference number 1900. First of all a good rule of thumb is to NEVER call back a number left on your answering machine, text, or email when it is in reference to your "credit" or "banking", and I mean NEVER. If you are at all worried after one of these messages CALL THE NUMBER ON THE BACK OF YOUR CREDIT CARD OR CALL YOUR BANK DIRECTLY. Banks and credit card companies DO NOT use robocalls when there is an issue. They have a live representative call you directly and they don't ask for your SS# - they already have it.

First Bank Card IS First National Bank of Omaha. The credit card portion of the bank started going by First Bank Card a while ago.

F*** these scamming mo-fo's who are probably from India using a 888 toll free number to scam U.S. citizens. I'm sick of this s***!!!! DO NOT give any of your personal info especially your SSN. I had my mail stolen a couple months ago and the thieves actually tried to steal 2500.00 from Banking Account. They were eventually caught with several pieces of mail that clearly wasn't theirs and the Postal Investigative Service sent me a letter with photo copies of my credit/banking documents they had in their possession. They are currently awaiting a trial with a steep sentence and I hope they go to prison BUT because they are illegal immigrants they will most likely be sent back to Mexico. F*** F****NG CHEATS!!!!

I was getting the same call, 4-5 times a day. When I call back it asks for your last 4 of the SSN. I called First National Bank of Omaha; the first time they said they don't call their customers like that, and suggested it was a scam.
The second time I called, I had the 'scam' number in front of me and read it to them. They then admitted that it is indeed First National Bank of Omaha calling about a payment coming up. She said it was a 'service' for me so I don't miss a payment.
I told her if they keep calling me I'm going to cancel my card. She said there's a form she needs to fill out, put me on hold. When she came back she said its all set, the no-call will be effective by the end of the day.

Just called 1-888-530-3626 and spoke to David Gomez in the Texas call center. He tells me that they do NOT make phone calls to customers. He says don't give any info. It's a scam.

Just received a voice mail from 1-888-362-8595 saying it was Kevin with First Bank Card and to call back asap and use reference #0700. I do have a First Bank card and it is through 1st National Bank. So I got online and checked my account which looked ok. I called the number back and a automated voice came on and said "thanks for calling back, please enter your last 4 digits of your social security number" I hung up and called the number on the back of my credit card. The lady I talked to said my account was fine and that they never called. So it is a bogus call. Do Not give any info.....
deb 2013-12-20 14:29:41 Unknown
getting the same thing, at first it was from Kevin at National Bank of Omaha, then just we have important information for you give us the last four of your social.....NO WAY SHOULD YOU GIVRE IT OUT! I have ATT and have blocked them from calling....I have NO business with them ,all my credit cards are paid, usually early, so this is NOT legit!
Anything that is should be able to be found on a reverse phone look up, they are phishing for info!

keep getting message from these guys wanting my 4 digit social.
la 2013-11-13 22:24:32 Unknown
when you call back first you verify your phone number then they want the last 4 of your social security number there is no option to speak with a live person this is a formula for disaster.

I got 2 calls from 888-362-8595 and a machine voice message was left saying they were from "1st Bank Card" and that they had an important message for me. I was given a reference # of 0500. So, I called the phone # and the machine voice said, "To protect your privacy only enter the last 4 digits of your ss#." I typed in several different #'s because I was given 3 tries. I called 2 separate times so this gave me 6 tries. I used the last 4 of my ss# one time and the reference # another time and random #'s for the rest but each time the machine voice said there was no record for that #, I am not affiliated with only 2 banks and this bank is not one of them. This kind of crap makes me so mad. Don't people have anything better to with their time? What is the point in having a "Do Not Call Registry" when so called businesses can still call people for what ever reason they want to now? People are getting away with getting a phone # and then using it to bother and rip other people off. They can get a toll free # and make up names and not worry about being traced.

Calling My Lawyer MORGAN AND MORGAN For HARRASSING CALLS ON MY PHONE.
Aggravated 2013-08-07 21:01:19 Unknown
NO legitimate business will call and have an automated call ask you to enter the last 4 digits of your social!! This is a scam and NO ONE should EVER enter any personal information on a "robo" call. This number needs to stop calling!! Someone needs to make this stop!! The news has even mentioned this and it has been on the radio. They say if you receive a "robo" call like this asking for any personal identifiable information, DO NOT enter it!! That is just asking for trouble. If you call the "legitimate" bank themselves, then you can give that to them if they ask, but they will not make an automated call asking for personal information. They called "you", not the other way around. So don't fall for it!! Whoever this is, needs to stop. I will be reporting this immediately. I'm tired of those calls every single day when I'm not even late on a payment. And there is no way I would ever give a "computer" that calls me any of my personal information!! Not a smart idea!!
James 2013-08-06 14:38:41 Unknown
I received a call from the same number but it was for First Bank Card not Omaha like everyone else has been saying.
If you ever receive a call asking for the last 4 of your SSN, automatically suspect Fraud. Companies should never ask you for your personal information via an automated message. Always refer to your companies website and look up their contact information to see if the number that called you is even listed as a way to contact them.
Naturally after finding this post and seeing that 2 different companies are being referenced, clearly its a fraudulent number.

I have been getting multiple calls from this number, at all hours. 1 voicemail was left. States it was "my" First Bankcard and left me a reference number to call back b/c they had a important message for me regarding my account. When I called back, it asked for the phone number that received the call and my SSN. I immediately stopped and called the 800 on my First Bankcard. Customer service looked at my account and said all was good. This is a scam. Do not type in any of your personal info.

I thought the same thing, who is FNB I don't have an account with them. Then I checked my mail, so I have a credit card with UNION BANK however its FNB that manages it. So do you guys have a credit card with a bank, if so check your statements. It shows up on my reciepts when I make a payment to my credit card.
Marie 2013-07-03 13:28:30 Unknown
Caller ID says UNAVAILABLE. Voice on voicemail says it's First National Bank of Omaha. Well surprise, surprise, it is NOT First National Bank of Omaha! (Silver lining: the Nebraskan CS reps are so darn nice.)
800notes.com, how about a "Call Type" option for Confirmed Scammer/Confirmed Phisher/Confirmed Lowlife Scum?
Charles 2013-05-02 14:38:20 Unknown
Who is FNB and who are they associated with. This is my second call and I don't have anything to do with this bank. Does anybody know who they are work with?

I received a call today and they indicated they were from my credit card number and asked for the last 4 digits of my social security #. I hung up and will be calling my CC company in a few. The message was automated.

I don't know what's better, that this number keeps calling me using local numbers (which, in turn, leave voice messages directing me to call the 888 number), or that they keep referring to the guy who used to have my number. So. David Mathis. Stop giving this number out. It's really annoying.

First National Bank of Omaha
SCHEELS SPORTS credit card.

I am receiving calls from this number on my cell phone burning my limited minutes. I went to Verizon wireless and was able to block this number for free! Also my Panasonic phone can block numbers. Worth the price of admission. Maybe this helps. I hate that these kinds of privacy intrusions are tolerated with no recourse for us.
Calls every day at 9:20 AM 2011-10-14 13:26:30 Unknown
Every day at 9:20 AM I get an automated phone call from the First National Bank of Omaha saying that they have an important business matter to discuss. I do not have any account with them. They say they will not remove my phone number unless I give them my social security number! I have filed several complaints with the national do not call registry but the calls just keep coming!
annoyed 2011-10-08 14:05:48 Unknown
that is not a valid number. it is a phone sex line.
