This scammer is fishing for information!  They called our daughter last night (but not us) then she called me about the call bc it was "fishy" ( asking for dad, not her). I called back several times and finally got a human being to answer but he wanted her number to trace the issue because I WOULDNT give him a SSN!  Honestly what a scam!  He said her number had been removed from their listing as a "bad contract number" (ok, another odd issue?) and then wanted more personal information...since our name is a common one we seem to get a lot of these inquires.  He said the only one they had in their system with even close similar name was in another state on the other side of USA. Never told him our location or any other information and our line is private without caller ID. Shall we say FRAUD and fishing for Identify Theft purposes?! BLOCK THEM!!!!

What you fail to tell people is that if you are in fact a COLLECTOR, then the company you work for has bought a debt for pennies on the dollar and then you call the person, threaten and harass in hopes you will make your s*** head boss happy cause you collected a few dollars on a debt that in all likelihood, has been written off. You need to get your facts straight before you start belittling someone you moron.

You have obviously never been scammed. Our family has, and we report every infraction, or suspected infraction to all necessary agencies, including Secret Service if we feel someone's identity is being misused.

I just received a call from 888-365-7129 -I always look at the number before answering - it is my busines phone. His message was "this is not a sales call- you need to call this number regarding your account." left no name -but repeated the message.
I receive so many scam phone calls for large sums of money loans which I never asked for - the voice is always foreign and sounds like the same guy with a different name.  When you push it and tell him never to call this number again- they all get a bit upset !! I tell them my calls are being recorded.  Also emails= just received one from "ace cash services" telling me I am being sued etc....these people pray on people who at one time or other applied for a loan or did business with a payday loan. Most of which are crooks - not all, but a lot of them. I check everyone out ...

Called my house then when i answered they hung up. I called back and they wanted to speak to my teenage daughter and I told the lady she was under age and that they would have to talk to me. she put me on hold to a bit then came on wanting personal info. I would not give out banking account info and told them to call me back after the first of the year. I am wanting to see if these people are legit or not. I have enough to deal with without being SCAMED!!!

i've just gotten a call from this number today. looks like i might have to be wary of this one as well as all the others. not sure if they left a message as no one seems to identify themselves these days. i don't answer or call back unknown callers, especially if they can't be bothered to leave more information, like what company they are calling from.

by federal law if I pay you even $1.00 you can not call and harass me you can not call anyone, and the thing is you bought the debt, for pennies on the dollar so you can collect PLUS ADDITIONAL FEES. Which by law I do not have to pay because you are not the original debtor.  If everyone will go look up the FAIR CREDIT ACT AND THE LEGISLATION, THERE ARE SITES ON LINE where you can print off your rights become very knowledgeable with it and then call them on the carpet document everything and then call your state attorney general this is how you stop them. State attorney general is for this purpose.

Traci Damke is apparently NOT the collections manager. She is the Human Resources Manager. Research gave Rick Saffer as the company OWNER, and don't fax the cease and desist, send it certified mail to Rick Saffer. They can and will deny they got it by fax. Check the BBB, they are flooded with complaints and MO case net, shows numerous law suits. Do some serious research on the company, and do NOT give them any information on the phone. IF you owe a debt, it's your right to mail in or bank wire your payments and you are not obligated under the law to give them your banking information to make payment on a debt that you actually owe. KNOW your rights and KNOW the LAW.

Actually, all you have to do is write a brief note requesting they no longer contact you, and BY LAW, under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act they can no longer contact you.
Can they? Not too much.

The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act allows debt collectors to contact certain third-parties but only to get contact and location information about you and this includes your employer.
Whenever a debt collector contacts any third-party to get your contact information, including your employer, they?re not allowed to reveal that they?re a debt collector or that they?re collecting a debt.
You only have to inform the collector that you can?t receive personal calls at work and they?ll no longer contact you. However, if the collector doesn?t have any other contact information for you, they may call your friends, neighbors, or employer to figure out how to get in touch with you.

Actually, they first have to advise yuo that tey are taking you to cuort, you have to be served a subpoena, ther has to be a hearing before a judge, where you have a chance to respond (with legal counsel) and the judge has to issue a formal judgment--which still gives you time to pay the debt, BEFORE your wages can actually be garnished. It ain't that easy. If it was, they wouldn;t be jumping through all these hoops to try to push you into sending them the money.

If you are referring to it as HIPPA (not once, but TWICE!), then you are NOT a medical worker, and are NOT "tested every year." The correct acronym is HIPAA, which stands for "Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act."
You fail.

Recently bought my Trac-phone (17 days ago) and I have gotten numerous calls from this company.  Here are some numbers associated with Credit-Control, LLC:

888-365-7131
866-417-5761
314-442-7400
866-380-6667
It looks like they have a few locations (FLA,MO) check out there website at wwwcredit-control.com

They have to be licensed and have a registered agent in each state they operate in.  Now the "agent" is not part of the LLC, so to speak. BUT, the agent is there for you to send correspondence to.  IE cease and desist letters.  I have read a few of the complaints on this site and can tell you that "COLLECTOR" is just defending his company.  Good for him.  For those of us that are getting the calls and trying to resolve the issue(s), don't just get on here and b***h about it.  There has been some good advice put up here.  Sift through and figure out what YOU can do.  If the debt is legit then make an attempt to pay it.  I know sometimes circumstances make that a choice you don't have, but either way there are ways to stop the calls.
This particular company  -Credit-Control, LLC has an NMLS #870875
Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System - The NMLS has a selfpolicing program and you can get some good info from them.  Their website is www.nmlsconsumeraccess.org
Credit -Control, LLC is also known as:
CC Collections,LLC
CC Mortgage Services
CCI Collections
Credit Control & Collection

You idiot HIPPA prevents you from giving out patient care information, not anything dealing with payment like
Your Name,  or the patient bill account number. I am tested on this every year as most medical workers are, so you are dead wrong......About HIPPA.
