Just got the same messages on my voice mail-one after another. Same deal--Jason Miller (If that is what you can make it out to be) he could barely say my name (my last name is hard to pronounce) and threatened to call the local authorities so I could be arrested if I didn't call him right back. I didn't call him back. I am still waiting for the police to show up. Glad for the above note from Tom. I love it.

Had a message on my answering machine from this number with same message.  I ignored it, but they called back so I answered it.  Very heavy accent which appeared to be from India, but said his name was "John Carter". I got angry and confronted him that this is not how the IRS operates and he hung up.

Because I was on my way out the door for a three hour drive, I decided to call the number back to see if I could get more info about them so I could turn them in.  Another individual with a very heavy Indian accent answered and said his name was "Kevin Peterson"  He made all the same threats about tax fraud, being arrested, huge fines etc....but instead of getting mad I asked how to resolve the situation. He had me drive to a bank, withdraw $3,810.00, and then drive to a Home Depot (mind you, I did not do any of this as I was in my car driving, but I told him I was following each of his steps).  At the Home Depot he had me go to the pre-paid card section.  He wanted me to get some type of voucher, but was very difficult to understand.  After over an hour of having him on the phone and him thinking he was moments away from getting the money I said, "hey Kevin, how often are you actually successful with the scam?"  I said a few more choice words and he hung up.

I had a call from this number too. They had the sound effects in the background. Sounds like the PBS channel at the call center. They said they can't take debit or credit or check for the IRS repayment (not that I offered). The said if you don't pay within the 30 minutes they will contact the local police to have you arrested. This sounded so bogus so I tried getting information from them and wanted to know how much information they have on me. They didn't know much only phone number and address I kept him on the phone while I looked up the IRS number and tried calling it, but they were closed.

I Called the police and told them about it. I will be calling the IRS tomorrow to notify them of this incident.
They use the name Jason Miller, such a white name for a non-native speaker. If they are reading this, I hope he is offended for wasting my time. I hope he gets his a** kicked for trying to scamming the unsuspected people. They do sounded convincing, this is not a small operation. It is a scamming business so be aware. I admit that when I first talked to them I almost freaked out, but then small details got me thinking. So listen for the small clues and if they threaten to get you arrested, tell them you will save them the trouble and notify the police yourself.

Call came from a foreign sounding English speaking person.  (might be from India).  Couldn't really understand but they said that we could have legal action taken against us if we did not respond.  That was the gist of the message that was left on my answering machine....
