They keep calling asking for my deceased father.  They call several times a day which is intrusive as my sister works the third shift as a nurse.  At first they were using a middle initial that was not his.  Now they are not.

Got a call at 6:30 in the evening with caller ID saying it was from Aptela, Inc. A search revealed that to be a Telecom company.

They left a message from a woman saying she had a very important confidential message and to hang up if it's not me (this was on voicemail mind you). They did have my name and said they were from Oxford Management Service and this was an attempt to collect a debt. I was told to call back the 888 number and they gave me a reference number to the claim.

I called back ready to give fake info and I just said I was calling back to see why this number keeps calling me and gave a reference number. They immediately had my name (which most likely was on the caller ID) and said they'd transfer me to a representative. I heard music and then 5 seconds later it went silent for a few seconds, then a click. A moment later I heard that horrible noise that lets you know the phone is off the hook. I hung up.

A few minutes later the number called again and I didn't answer. They left no message.

I believe this is a scam. I got a similar phone call earlier in the day from a similar thing from a woman with a heavy indian accent, so heavy it was almost unintelligible. Caller ID had a different company but same gig, asking for me to call to verify my account with chase financial, which I don't have.
