Claims to be the American Heart Association.  At least the number's not being outright spoofed--that is, someone DOES answer the number when you call back--but it doesn't make it less annoying.  These professional "fundraisers" aren't helping the AHA's reputation with the public when they make these kind of robodialed calls.

I asked why they didn't just pay the woman annoying me with the calls to stuff envelopes, she hung up on me.

it is now it seems a widely used practice.

they simply want to ascertain that somebody is home
or that the info they have about you is correct.

please think about it: would a legit organization use
such harassment tactics as calling you every day,
several times a day, never leaving a message and when
you call back you get no one.

not a very smart way to generate good will, hence
spoofing / scamming are the most likely explanations.

btw the same goes for other phantom allegedly charitable
organizations such as the american cancer society.

Lots of calls from this number. Very annoying.  Called the Heart Association and asked them to stop. It's started again.

I called them and a very friendly person answered.  I asked her if she had ever googled the phone number.  Of course she had not and she asked why.

I never answer toll free or unknown numbers. I google the number(s) and take it from there. This number is from the American Heart Association. They have been calling for the last 3 months conconstly. I will not answer them.

888-379-2463 is a number for the American Heart Association.  I called and asked to be removed from their calling list.  HOWEVER, the following numbers also generate annoying calls from the AHA:  888-355-7289, 877-213-2767, 866-431-5121.  There are probably more.  The lady answering the call was pleasant enough.  When I asked her to verify if my number would be removed from ALL the call lists of AHA, her tone got cold, but she said, "I will have it removed."  We'll see if this works.

I have been getting a ton of these calls from all the numbers listed here. I did speak to someone one day and asked to removed but I guess that didn't work. They wake me up in the morning , call on Sunday, at dinnertime and later at night. I went to the website and there is an email address of Review.personal.info@heart.org so I am going there to tell them to take my name off their calling list

Call comes in as Toll Free call.  They call several times a day several day a week.  This AM they called at 6:32AM!!  Now I am going to report them for harrassment!  They never leave a message and often hang up before the answering machine has a chance to answer.  Why do they bother except to annoy me.

Get calls from this and many other toll free numbers -- takes a lot of nerve to call on weekends when I'm trying to rest. I usually pick up the phone and SLAM IT right back down hoping I break someone's ear drums, but not knowing if there's a live person there.

American Heart Association. Call every day all different numbers. "DO NOT CALL" will NOT do anything about it as AHA is referred to as non profit so they CAN call. I am sick of these morons and idiots calling they WON'T delete you from their calling list neither. I am tired of paying money for a phone to have all these telemarketers calling me and literally harassing me they are RUDE and OBXNIOUS!I am going to tell them to send the stuff and I'll shred it!! It is their postage to send it to me (!)and I am NOT about to spend what little money I have for postage for their crap to be mailed out to anyone! HOW STUPID would THAT be? They DO NOT help me as much as they claim they do!! I personally know a family who desperately needed their help and the family was flatly denied!Do NOT give to these idoits! They need to go under!

These people keep calling everyday and sometimes twice a day. I don't usually answer these TOLL FREE CALLs, but finally answered to find out who they are.
