Just got a hang up call from them.

The same as the other reports. A caller (recorded) directs you to push 1. You do so, and the mailbox is perpetualy full. They gave the name "Community Service" but other sites say they use many other smilar handles.

Ok I called back and pressed '1'. It sends you to a mailbox and the mailbox is full. Hmmm. This has "SCAM" written all over it. What's going on?!

I called the number back and got this message "Hello and welcome to our life safety program. Brought to you by the largest and most established home security company in North America. To reserve your no charge security system and promotional bundle, please press '1'. To be added to our 'do not disturb list' please press '2'. For all other options please press '0'" Pressing '0' simply replays the message over again to a maximum of 3 times. Then it says "Thank you for calling" and hangs up on you.
I called back and pressed '2' and it rings through to a message instructing you to enter the area code and number that you want removed. I entered mine and it says "Your number has been recorded. Thanks for calling" Then a dial tone. Hopefully that is the end of it. What kind of scam is this anyway? Enough to make a guy paranoid. It's not just this number either there are tons.
I'm tempted to call back and press '1' now.
