Doug Burr from Omaha NE of West Asset Management keep calling. Does anyone have his home number so I can call him?

Have been contacted by this company on many occasions in reference to the person handling the final affairs of a deceased sister.  Since the sister left no will, no assets, and no estate, there is no one handling anything except her burial arrangements.  However, this does not deter them from calling.  I am now using selective call rejection for each call I get from them.

Hummmm... Why thes people dont tell you who they are when they call??

I got a call from these guys just now. Not sure who it is, I have no connection with West Asset Management, have no outstanding debt, and have not been the victim of fraud.

West Management has been calling me about my late ex-father in law (divorced 8 years ago!).  Federal law requires that I write to invoke my legal rights to have them cease contact - but their website doesn't give a contact mailing address!  Since it's a Nebraska corporation, try:  West Asset Management, 7171 Mercy Road, Omaha, NE  68106 and West Corporation Headquarters, 11808 Miracle Hills Dr., Omaha, NE  68154.

If you have informed them that you are handling final affairs, then according to the FDCPA. They do have the right to contact you. Now if you believe they are threatning your family then record the calls and hire a attorney. One way no one looks at it is if they were the company out 25,000 dollars, wouldn't you want your money back? And I have dealt with West Asset Management, and if the debt did not exsist why doesn't someone report fraud?

These are sleazy underhanded people trying to collect on very old or non-existing depts. Get there info and give it to your States Attorney Generals office. They have been threating my Mom , Brother and I for over a year on a Dept that a deceased relative had. They just want 25,000 dollars and wont send us any type of bill or detailed account summary, They just call and call and call. This Company and the people they work for are the scum of the earth.

They call and leave prerecorded messages to call this number or dial and hang up when answer machine picks up to try and catch you.   They call on Sat. & Sun Morning before 9AM.
