After reading the above posts about 888-465-0190 I am even more outraged...they called back to back, showed I had voicemail, but they left no message. I am not diabetic, so why in the HECK ARE THEY BOTHERING ME?
xx 2013-04-02 03:12:58 Unknown
I used to work for them as well, and I can attest that the information you said is 100% correct.

Its all a scam tell them you r no longer a diabetic. i just walked out on my job bc its not ethical towards its employees(platnium marketing)" diabetes help now" 0r the kramden group "diabetes care now." you will not receive your supplies, and god only knows what they do with your info....as an ex employee i got ripped off on my check at platnium marketing....didnt get payed for traing at the kramden group and when i started the office was so disgusting...no air conditioning close quators....so ita the owners who are the bullys and criminals taking advantage of diabetes, and people like myself who need a job. f*** them both scumbags

They are a seedy type of business run by big fat ginnys. As an employee they rip u off on your checks. they are not up front about issues and most importantly they dont send the supplies to the customers. im an ex employee after finding out thst its all a scam i quit. they r a bunch of grease monkeys! Dont support diabeteshelpnow or global medical or platnium.

Platinum gets your information because you give it out in the form of surveys, forms and diabetic education classes. If you ask to be put on the DNC the employee will follow the procedure to have you removed from the database. The national DNC does not protect you when you willingly give out your information. Furthermore, as an employee I take great umbrage with your remarks that the employees steal your information for illegal purposes. Every effort is made to safeguard the information that is given to them. We are mostly hardworking people who genuinely like to assist patients get the most for their money. Every company gets investigated...domestic abuse is far different (unsubstantiated allegation, by the way) that the illegalities you are claiming. I paid for my background report, drug test and license. I doubt you were so well investigated for your work. As far as the company being MOB run, you are watching too much television. If a person's name ends in a vowel it does not mean they are members of organized crime. If you don't want your information given out you need to read all the fine print that comes with every agreement you enter into. I agree, buyer beware, however you need to focus your anger where it belongs. Look in the mirror.

i still get calls from them after telling them i am on the DNC list; that just seems to annoy them; i tell them politely now that i have a machine that is brand new a works fine; they don't go through their speel once they hear this and they reply politely and hang up;)

This number does not ask for money. So these reviews put here that say that are incorrect.
Sally 2012-01-23 18:49:12 Unknown
This company has been investigated by the Palm Beach County DAs office, the Office of the Inspector General, and the Department of Agriculture. They steal from the public and from their employees. Mostly, their licensing is illegal, or non existent. I know there were rumors that it is mob run. One of the owners had warrants out and was convicted of domestic violence. They just want to over bill your insurance. IF YOU ARE ON MEDICARE, PLEASE REALIZE YOUR MEDICARE NUMBER IS YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER! THERE ARE PEOPLE WORKING THERE WHO WERE CONVICTED OF ELDER ABUSE, CREDIT CARD FRAUD AND THE LIKE. THEY DO NOT DO BACKGROUND CHECKS ON TNEIR EMPLOYEES...SO WHAT DO YOU THINK THESE KINDS OF PEOPLE WILL DO WITH YOUR SOCIAL?
PROTECT YOURSELF!!!!!!

Telemarketing is a legal business, but many telemarketing firms make illegal calls and are able to get away with it simply because the average telephone consumer does not know their phone privacy rights. What you need to understand is that there are rules telemarketers must abide by. However, you also must understand that though you may find all telemarketing calls annoying, the fact remains that many of the calls you receive are within the rights of the telemarketing firm

the people that complain are stupid they dont even listen it ediabticcare not medicare some people are so arrogant ediabetic is actually not doing anything illegal they ARE trying to help you not scam you.....listen to them they are just verifying the information for a supply company to call u and supply you with same service your currently getting at a comparable or less price than what your currently paying.....people are so afraid of something bad happening they jump the gun with complaints such as there trying to get your ss# well unfortunatley it is the same as a medicare claim id and when you ask them to call medicare for the number they would not be able to disclose that information because them as well as eDiabeticcare are hippa compliant which means they "CANNOT DISCLOSE PATIENTS INFORMATION IT IS KEPT STRICLY CONFIDENTIAL BY LAW" only you can provide that info thats why they ask....anything concerning your medicare insurance WILL need your MEDICARE CLAIM NUMBER not SS#.........

They are a legit company in most cases. I can tell you all for sure that getting agents licensed in a timely fashion does not happen. Every agent on the phone has to have a telemarketers license in order to solicit. I am sure most of you can do enough research to figure the rest out.
Stop calling them back, THEY DO NOT GIVE A S***!
Stop mentioning the DNC, THEY DO NOT GIVE A S*** as most of you have opted in and the DNC would not apply.
Pick up a phone (to the right people) and talk licenses.

Said they were Diabetic Care and wanted to send me a new tester. Wanted my SS# so they could bill Medicare. Called several times in Feb. and Mar. 2011 from Boca Raton, Fla.

Caller, named Matthew, claimed that his company wanted me to switch my diabetic test meter to one that the company he represented is offering. He then wanted to verify my information - that he already seemed to possess - which included my name, address, city. He then wanted my doctor's name and phone number; my insurance carrier and my insurance membership number. He assured me that all of this information is protected by HIPPA. I told him that I am a registered nurse and am familiar with HIPPA and I asked that he give me his number so I could call back and verify who he and his company are. When I called back immediately, the phone did not ring and nobody answered - I was just connected with Matthew's phone (I guess he didn't know I could hear his conversation in the background) and I heard him telling someone "he said he's an RN and he knows about HIPPA". When Matthew picked up the phone he was surprised to hear me on the line. I then told him I wasn't comfortable giving him any more of my information and that I would just keep my old diabetes test meter. His friendly demeanor turned cold and he told me to have a nice day.

The 888-387-0190 number is a telemarketer trying to "give away" a new diabetic test meter. They try really hard to get your private information so be careful.
phneclue 2011-06-06 21:05:28 Unknown
Received numerous calls to my cell phone from 888-387-0190. I've been on the National Do Not Call list since 2009 so every time they call I file a complaint on donotcall.gov. Hopefully that will do something, but so far it's been 6 times today. This is beyond annoying.
jasmiarowski 2011-06-06 21:05:28 Unknown
am also on the do not call list but all day i am receiving these calls form 6 differnt numbers. Here comes another one!

Someone from this number just called at 2:15in the afternoon and requested to speak to my son. "He's requested information about his education onlin", they said. I said, "He is a minor and we are on a no call list, please remove him and take our number off your list." The guy was not rude, but it was scary that someone called requesting a minor child!!!!!!! The only info I got online for this number was Alliance Group Service which is probably an umbrella company for many 888 numbers for only God knows what.
mac 2011-06-06 21:05:28 Unknown
When I get calls like this, which I did, I pick up my landline, dial *60 and add the number to my selective call rejection service. You can also block them if you have verizon wireless by going on line and select block number for your cell phone.
John Oltremari 2011-06-06 21:05:28 Unknown
scammer. I called them back to say not to call again.
Bettie 2011-06-06 21:05:28 Unknown
How do you stop this repeated calling? It gets old.
Heather L. Beecher 2011-06-06 21:05:28 Unknown
I called them back after reading who they were. The first time someone picked up and was having a personal conversation, realized it after half a minute and hung up on me. The second time I called, after being on hold someone answered asking to speak to me. I said, "I called YOU!?" and asked to be taken off the list. I had filled out some information online so now I was getting 5+ calls a day! ridiculous!
Kkjaffa 2011-06-06 21:05:28 Unknown

Dear janlcc,
Thanks for posting the info. I found it tremendously useful, and of course reported it to the FCC myself. Once again, kudos to your time-saving efforts.
