Bellsouth ...?

If you would have listened carefully to the caller you would have heard him say "on behalf of AT&T"

A man who identified himself as Jamison Wrigley called from this number claiming to be our business account ATT/BellSouth account rep for the next 24 months. I was suspicious because he had no knowledge of the types of service we have. I called ATT/BellSouth to verify that he worked for them. What he said is not true. My sales rep told me no account rep with that name has been assigned to our business account. This dude is probably using a false name, but regardless of what his real name is, he is NOT EMPLOYED by ATT/BellSouth. He's an outside salesman, probably working on some sort of commission basis for a telephone boiler shop that uses aggressive and abusive sales tactics. My advice - avoid scams. Don't deal with sales weasels.

There is no 'do not call list' for businesses but there is the off button on the phone. Unfortunately as the laws stand now businesses cannot opt out of solicitations on the phone only the ones that walk into your store.

I have received five calls from this number, and associated marketing companies about changing my phone service. The one I received today the salesperson "Brandon" argued with me and refused to take no for an answer. Is there not a no call list for businesses?
