I cannot count how many times these people have called my job and have gone through nearly everone of my co-workers for the past three months giving them the threats and the alledged case # and telling them I was to be served and they would meet me at my job to do so. Well after three months I have not one single mailing in the mail nor process server at my door just unfounded verbal phone threats made to me via my co -workers getting the calls. I have investigated them on my own and they are a rougue group trying to collect illegally. I have researched the laws of my state of Pennsylvania for collections practices and they have viloated every law in the books. I have been in touch with a "real" legal law firm who deals with laws suits against rougue collection agency and they were very familiar with them and would love to process a law suite against them but cannot find them to do so. That is how illusive these people are. My suggestion is that until someone can get their hands on these people to file suite, stand your legal ground with them and ignore them, demand proof of their vacant threats and refer them to your lawyer. Those threats will go away. I have had to change my phone # and inform my manager and supervisor and all my co-workers because they are persistantly calling even as of this day. I gonore them but they are pissing me off and I will do what ever I have to do to see they pay for this harrassment. This is beyond madness. Just so you know they are extremely rude to all my co-workers and give little if no info to identify themselves. If I could meet one of them I would be in jail and it would not be for an alledged debt.....use your imagination!!

I have received calls from them also... and because I did have a PDL loan in the past I arranged payment with them, even though I thought it had been paid off.  They ran a payment of $75 before I confirmed with PDL that this money was NOT owed to them.  PDL told me this was fraudulant, and I called my bank, who assured me the charges could be reversed and I could fill out a fraut report.  I called the BAM group back, telling them I was reversing the payment and they said they would see me in court.  I told them I was willing to pay with some documentation of what is owed,  but they were unwilling to send me anything.  I told her (Stephanie...supposedly a manager) that I was concerned with the way I was treated by the people I had spoken to in her firm (Joe Grimm was one name, not sure of others), and she first said she was appalled and would speak to them.  Later, when she learned I was not interested in paying until documentation was received, she got much less friendly and more hostile.  I told her I would gladly pay if she could prove they were reputable.  She wouldn't agree to send me anything, so I told her her debt collectors broke the law with the threats she made and she said that was all heresay.  I told her I was willing to pay if she could show me something, otherwise I would reverse the payment. She then said she would see me in court, and the tape of me setting up the payment would work against me.  I told her that tape also said that I didn't think I owed this debt, and would be calling back to cancel this payment if I did not, so that was recorded as well.  She told me that only the ending of the conversation is recorded.  Things seem VERY shady, but I am totally confused as to what to do since I did at one time have a payday loan, and the payday companies always change names.  If I do by chance, have a balance I am not aware of , I don't want to get in trouble for not paying.  I woud be VERY  interested in a lawsuit as well...please advise as to how to get a hold of you if you are interested in having some others to add to your complaints.  THANKS!

These bums (Tom White) called me threatening the same thing; the only mistake I made was not letting him deliver these documents in which case I would have one more violation of the FDCPA to file against them. These dopes clearly do not know the law; they even went as far as to tell a co-worker that they needed to speak to me regarding fraudulent check charges (another violation). They use this Tom White guy in NJ. Don?t be fooled by their lies! There is nothing they can do to you. Although the call will initially scare you, they have no evidence to back it up and are violating the law. I currently have a lawsuit pending against them for $3,500.00.

I got the same message so I called the courthouse because he said he had a case number, and the case number did not exist. He claimed his name was Ted Williams.

Just found out this is a collection agency called the Bam Group, Inc

Their information:

BAM Group, Inc
2925 E. Riggs Road
Suite 5330
Chandler, Arizona  85249

Also:
BAM Group, Inc
8345 E. Ridge
Phoenix, Arizona  84325

They are a collection agency who threatens people that they'll serve you a court summons at your place of employment if you don't rectify the debt with them on behalf of their client (whomever the original financial institution or creditor is).  I would advise that you contact the FDCPA to file a complaint on their collections efforts which is in clear violations of your rights.  They can be charged up to $1,000 if they continue to collect without the debt being verified at your request.

I just got a call from these people too and they threatened to serve me papers at work because they do not serve papers at residences due to agents getting beat up.  I tried getting information on what debt that I supposedly owe and they tell me it's with an online payday loan company called PDL (Payday Loan).  I told them I never worked with this company and that I have no knowledge of them.  They keep telling me that they don't care and will still serve me papers at my workplace jeopardizing my employment.  They tell me that I will get representation and go to court to fight it.  They are rude and relentless!  I tell them I know my Fair Debt Collections rights and they just tell me that they don't care and hung up on me.

Mr. Anderson called my cell and work number numerous times saying that he had been trying to rech me to serve me papers and that he would have me served at work.  That I should call 888-390-4235 in order to meet with him to get this resolved.  Very intimidating.
