Debt Collector
This company D2 Management called me and stated that I owed a debt. The statue of limitations in South Carolina is 3 years. This debt was in 2009. I called the BBB and Consumer affairs and they stated that this company is a scam. The only address they gave me was a p.o box in Hardeeville, SC. They called me from 980-613-4300 which is a North Carolina number. When the lady called she told me she was an officer.

Read my previous posts...i dont really care what you think about me and I posted the link to that website more than once. This website is about opinions and I posted my situation and I pray it wasnt a scam but I did receive my paid in full letter from this company and when I just purchased my house I didn't have any problems. So fingers crossed.

OK.  Fine.  Now.  Howabout the address of this company.  By the way, what's the source of this page you pasted.  What's the link.    You're still withholding information which makes me all the more certain you are involved in this scamming operating.

How about telling us the name and address of the company you sent this payment to. Of course you won't do that.    I'm pretty sure you work for these scammers and that this site is putting a crimp on your income stream.  I tried calling that 888 number.   They just put you on hold and play music.

I don't know what you get out of shilling.   More and more people are becoming aware of what you are doing.

By  the way, how'd you find out about this site?  Someone call your outfit and tell you you were being splattered all over the internet as a scam company?  Just wondering.

Odd.  The D2 Management I found is located in Flint Michigan.   There is no D2 Management in SC so far as I can see.  If you have that information, how about posting it.  Why does BBB show a Flint MI address for this company. Sounds like a scam to me.

I look pretty lame?  You googled your info on the company. I went to www.scsecretaryofstate.com and everything is there. Physical address, licences, ratings with BBB, and their lawyers name. The rep told me the company was located in SC so I talked to a friend who is a lawyer and she told me if they are legit and in SC they will be on this website. Before I pay any debt collector now even by mail I looked them up on their states secretary of state...I work to hard to just give my money to people.

A Google check of the one company with the same name (not the one you neglected to post, but from other comments) through BBB states that the BBB was unable to contact the business regarding a complaint! Sounds pretty sketchy to me...Post the address you "mailed" the money to.  These notes are all about sharing information like that--when you leave it out, it makes your comment totally fake and you look pretty lame.

I got a call from them also...I checked into it before I paid anything...the debt was mine and I forgot about it but when I pulled my credit it was on there...so i researched the company and called the BBB ...everyrhing was lagit...i also looked into their lisc and lawyer...so I called that 888 number back and I told them I was not giving my card number over they phone the lady was very nice she said I could mail in a money order if i was paying the settlement in full and she gave me the address. Thirst days later I received a paid in full letter. I still have that letter just in case I get a call from another company but so far no one else has called me. I was skeptical like everyone on here at first but once I did my mature homework I found out a lot about this company.

Received a call from Haley of D2 Management. This is part of an ongoing situation where a company is selling people's personal information in an attempt to scare people into paying for a payday loan. This D2 company, will not give a physical address, just a PO Box. during the call, I noticed my voice was echoing, which suggests it was being routed to another area, maybe internationally. I asked to find out where they got my information, they said directly from quickest-cash-advance.com (QCA). No one can get in touch with this company, the BBB, my AG or the US Government. She could not give me a phone number to QCA, then I asked to be transferred to a supervisor to get the information, and he is due to call me back. I'm sure he will not have the balls to call me back. Complete scam, do not fall for it.

Oh by the way the number Stephanie Callahan gave me to call her back was 843-277-0702, which is in South Carolina, but the number that came up on my caller ID was my local area code, which is across the country, so just beware on how you are dealing with!

Debt Collector
I got a call from D2 Management & Assoc on 3/24/14 from Stephanie Callahan, and she told me that I owed a certain amount from a payday loan and went into all the details, but the funny thing is I got a call from another debt collector for the exact same loan 3 weeks earlier. I told her about this, and she said it was "sent to her office for review to settle for a lesser amount" I contacted a Consumer Law Attorney and he consulted me to be very careful because many of these people are scammers, especially around tax time, and prey on people no matter what your age. And many of these scammers arent even in the United States, and unfortunately it makes it impossible for them to track down to compensate you for any monies for you might have lost. (You can sue debt collectors for undue harassment and false claims and saying they are going to throw you in jail or come to your home) If they are legit, they will already have your SSN, your legal name, your current address, all of your phone numbers, etc. Most info the scammers get are easily available online, or get frrom payday loans which get pennies on the dollar. DO NOT give any personal info out on the phone, DO ask for everything in writing, the original loan amount, the company name, how much the loan was for, the account number, their street address, their local and toll free numbers, the reps name and title and supervisors name and of course the companys name. Tell them all future contact must be in writing and save all information. Save all the calls you get, all recordings, all the phone numbers they call from. They are required by law to give you this information on the phone anyway....they just cant say "you owe us this money and you must pay in the next 48 hours" Contact a Consumer Law Attorney to see if you can sue, or the FTC, search online for other resources for what your rights are! Dont be scammed!!

Per the FDCPA, no one should pay any caller who refuses to MAIL - do not accept email or fax - a debt validation letter showing that (1) you owe a debt and that (2) your caller has the legal right to collect said debt.  Refusal to mail this DV letter within five days of their first call is a violation of federal law and you should not pay them!  The fact that they push you to pay the same day is a good indication that it's a scammer or junk debt buyer.  And again - never pay anyone who says you owe unless they actually mail proof of debt/proof they can collect.

Consumers across the country report that they're getting telephone calls from people trying to collect on loans the consumers never received or on loans they did receive but for amounts they do not owe. Others are receiving calls from people seeking to recover on loans consumers received but where the creditors never authorized the callers to collect for them. So what's the story?

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.
If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:
Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.

Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.

I got a call from this number about a payday loan fro m several years ago and they wanted me to pay over 700 dollars interest and give him a credit card number over the phone.  When I said I was not going to do that he offered to take the interest off, all of it!  But the offer was only good until the end of the day which brings us back to wanting a credit card number over the phone.  Its a scam they will threaten court and everything they can to intimidate you dont fall for it.

Got a call from "dawn" today from phone number256-270-2040. Wow is all I can say. Said my husband owed a payday loan from 2005 to a company they couldn't provide info for. When they decided my questions were too much they hung up. I called back and talked to several different people whom all seemed equally stupid. I fianally recorded one of them telling me about how she was going do things to me. And also told me finally where this supposed loan originated. Considering it was a state where we didn't live it was humorous. These are scammers!!!! Don't give them any info REPORT THEM!!!  Several numbers and names they use. Dawn, Stephanie, Mr Ross, Janine, Christina. 1-888-397-5794, 1-877-851-7773, 256-270-2040. Found a website for their company for potential clients wanting to use their "services". The sales pitch on the website was all about how thy have methods of collecting old debts.

Got a voice mail from  Christine Lopez reguarding my account and sommething about my SS#. I called 877-851-7773 and got a recording to leave my information for D 2 Management. I thought someone had stolen my I D so I called and got a recorded message to leave all my personal ID info and someone would call me back. It sounded like a scam to get my I D, so I hung up.  I have not run up any debts in over 5 years.

I received a call this morning (17 Sept 2013) from Janine Curly from D2 Management (864)214-3787. She informed me that she was calling "in regards to paperwork that was placed in front of her for final review" and wanted me to call her back. I called and politely spoke to her about the debt. It turns out that I paid that debt to another company last year and the matter was closed. I also gave her the name of the debt collection company that I dealt with and she said that she would have her research department look into it and that if I dont hear back from her, then the matter got resolved. I guess we will see what happens.

DO NOT post info in here that may further lead them to you. They are Troll liars and scammers. Masters at ID theft. They use a GEO targeter to get your LOCAL number (area code) and threaten you, Calling out your  name and that they have your SS#. DO NOT FALL VICTIM. They have to use an 877 number for you to call them back and not the local one they called you on because they call outside the US use generic names that sound to them COMMON lol. It's insulting to think we would be stupid enough to give them any of our info muchless PAY them. Saddly people who are elderly are prayed upon. If they call your cell..SCAM, if they threaten legal action.. SCAM. They DO NOT have anything on you. Tell them to remove you from their call list and register on do not call list if you have not already. Report all info to the registry. Hope this helps
