I did a reverse lookup on http://www.phonebooks.com and though I could not get the account owner's name for free, I did get the location.  It's a land line located in Germany.  I'd be interested in knowing what anyone else might be able to dig up on these foreign scamsters who want my bank account information.

We received a call from this "Company" on my husband's cell phone this afternoon.  It was a pre-recorded message telling us to press "0" to process our loan so they can put it in our bank account.  It told us also that we could call 888-400-3471. I called the number to find out who this company was and why they were calling us and all I got was a 2 second pre-recorded message that cut-off.  This has to be a scam.  I did a reverse phone look up on White Pages and the 888 number does not come up at all.  The number that showed up as the call on my husband's phone was 775-997-2664 and when I did a reverse look up on that number, it came up as a landline in Reno, NV.  That was all the info they had.  I went to file a claim with the FTC, but since this deals with a problem of receiving calls on our cell phone when our phone is registered on the Do Not Call registry, I was advised to file a claim with the National Do Not Call Registry.  If this has happened to you, I recommend filing a complaint with them.  The more complaints they receive on this matter, the more likely they will pursue this and find out what is going on.  Whatever you do, DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE!!

Received a prerecorded message from this number today, stating I needed to press 0 to claim my loan money so it can be directly deposited into my bank account in less than 48 hours.

I received a call from this number this afternoon.  I called it back they said it was for a payday loan application that I applied for online, which never happened.  The first person I spoke to was terribly rude and when I tried to give her my cell number she signed like I was wasting HER time! When I asked her not to be rude, she hung up on me!!  I called back and spoke to another person who I was able to give the number they called to, he asked to speak to "Lavelle" I told him that there was no one here by that name.  He then told me that my number had already been added to the do not call list previously.  When I asked him how that was possible, he said the person that hung up on me added the number!  I told him that was impossible because I never gave her my number and if I receive even 1 more call from them, I would be reporting them to the FTC! He assured me it would not happen again... I guess I'll have to wait and see.

Yes, these calls are scams! After receiving text messages in April on my cell phone, I filed a complaint with the FCC. The texts have stopped but now I am getting phone calls on my cell phone. Twice today, a hour apart and I let them go into voice mail. Same thing, I am approved for my loan and call back so they can transfer the money into my bank account. The first call came from 888-400-3471 and the second call came from 877-754-3383 but they were both the same recording with different call back numbers. Once again, I filed a complaint today with the Federal Trade Commission. The only way to stop this is by filing complaints with the FTC. I strongly recommend doing this. www.ftc.gov.

Also receive calls from this number and despite asking them to take my number off their list they still call.  The caller said I had applied for a car loan which I did not.

This guy called me and asked me to give him some information to process an internet car loan application.  I told him this is a church and we do not buy vehicles that way. He said we would never be contacted by that company again.  He never did identify himself or his alleged "company."
