I have no idea what you are calling about..Please STOP..

I received the following voice mail message.  I have no overdue debts with any company.

"Important message for Debra Gilbert this is Charlene Santa Sarah from American crease international. This is an attempt to collect a debt by a debt collector information obtained is used for that purpose. Please return this call today at 18552243009. We'll be available until eight pm returning at eight am Eastern standard Time. Again the toll free number 1888863 I'm sorry 18552243009. Reference number is 6720267. You can also visit us on our website twenty four hours a day at www. ACI Bill Pay .com. Thank you."

Left no message. I'm not in arrears with anybody so there's no reason for them to be phoning if they are a real collection agency (and the number isn't spoofed). Where I live if you're in arrears you're supposed to get a letter, not a phone call, and only then do they send you to collections. So I'm assuming a scam.

They just told me that they work with getting reduced rates for debit/credit machines.  I told them I get calls from companies who offer the same daily!! ARGH so frustrating.

I keep getting calls from ACI collections for some person I don't even know!  They call my home at all hours and I have answered telling them it the wrong person/number but it's just a computer no live person.
It even gives me an account number to reference.

They have been calling me for years about a relatives debt (I think, because it sure isn't mine) They just started up again and sometimes seem to call more than once a day. I reported to" Tx do not call". I tried leaving an email to say they have the wrong person. They really are harrassing and disruptive!

I have just notified our local Channel 15 Joe Duecy and investigative reporter on this company.  I really think it is a scam.  I've been working on it for the last 3 hours.  I will post the results. W. Jones

one of the callers name is Casey scott these are scam artist, they change numbers, they change name of person calling sometimes they try to intimidte you.  JUST TELL THEM TO GO F_ _K OFF seems they dont like cursing.  Well I dont like be harrissed by unknowns who have my personal information from where I have no idea.  But when I called back CASEY ASKED IF SHE WAS SPEAKING TO ME, SO THEY HAVE CALLER ID.  THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND THEY WILL NOT GIVE U A PHYSCIAL ADDRESS SO U CAN REPORT THEM.  Best is to not give out any information and really frustrate them by not confriming who they are talking to.

these are scam artist do not tolerate their calls. If they refuse to give you physcial location then tell them to F_ _K OFF

does not work they have purchase the information so thier numbers do not show up as telemarketing.  I block the numbers and they keep using new ones. I found telling to F_ _k off works they leave me a alone for about 6 months before they try again.

Recvd a phone call from ACI at my job.....It was an automated call.....how do I make this stop.....

This company keeps calling my home for various people.  This time the call was for Janice Owens for claim number 530882.  They will continuous ask if the person is a relative, friend, etc. which is harassing.

It's called Skip Trace.... matching addresses to names lived at your current address.  Be Aware!

When you pressed enter you sent them the info you entered, your email address, and maybe location info. They probably entered it into their database that now inplies "Account # ... is linked to ... SSN# ... and email address ... and the state of XX".
Don't enter anything, don't say anything.  They are "phishing" for target info.

They have also been calling me and I did the same as the others on this posting. I went to their website, typed in the reference number, and last 4 of my soc. sec. and a little drop down window came up saying it was unable to authenticate my account information. To me that means they have the wrong person. Last week when they called they left a message on my answering machine using my full name and a middle initial...problem is my middle name begins with an A and they said L...so I know they have the wrong person. For now, I'm just letting them leave their messages and deleting them, but I agree it is annoying to have them keep calling and I get the feeling that if I answer and tell them they have the wrong person it won't make much of a difference.

I received calls from sci I finally tried to go on the website and was told my information don t match l will not respond anymore. If they can t call and talk then their lose. Just ignore these people (machines)aci

I have no debt other than mortgage....these folks keep calling from 888-863-8462 or 716-418-7187. No idea whom they're looking for..completely annoying...everyday leaving a message! WIll keep ignoring till they stop the farud calls!!

I just received the same call and the reference number and last 4 of SSN didn't match either. It's weird that they called me for my boyfriend. How did they get my number.

You really do not have to tell a Debt collector that hey are being recorded the short story of recording conversations according to the fed. laws is that one of the parties has to agree that the conversation can be recorded but does not stipulate that the other party has to be the opposing party so you can agree to record the conversation in agreement with yourself as you are a private party and not a business. it's been awhile since I have read the fair trade and debt collection laws but that I do remember. ACI is a very annoying company and will not take no for a answer that they have the wrong party. In debt collection the debt must never have been charged off nor P&L'd at any point, the debt must be less than 7seven years old, and when requested they must furnish all documentation to you that validates the original debt in its original form. If someone loses a job as a debt collector so what, they should use real and legitimate collection methods and not go through the Bogus attempts at collecting debts from more than one person of a similar name within the same community or city town state or country, most of the debts these people are trying to collect are either bills that have been erroneously included in debt collection files that have been bundled and bought en-mass at debt auction sales. so the incident of false bill collection escalates whith each sales of a bill bundle.

They are a debt collector.  The information they left on my phone was within a few hours of signing up with google voice...the new number...interesting.  All the debt information on the website was correct (except my contact information which means they did not enter or get the correct information from the original debt holder)  This is where they are questionable as the "debt holder" and responsible for verifying the "ownership of the debt" which is questionable if they do not have all the facts.  Soo...for all of you who cannot verify your debt on their website, good luck shaking them.  If you owe money, and they can verify the information, they might be your key to a settlement BUT be sure they are the owner of your debt and not someone trying to pay it off for less than what you paid them.

As for treating the callers poorly...its a job, and they are the messenger...unless they treat you poorly first.  Treat people as you wish to be treated.

ive been getting phone calls too, like three times a day, but i have a recorded message. i have also gone on line to enter my reference number and last four of soc. and come up as unable to find! what is this all about. who are these people and how do they get unlisted information????? mybe we should all let our lawyers in on this scam!!!

I have no idea who these people are my mom had me as a co signer on her bank account cause she has been very sick I live 2 thousand miles away from her. I dont know if this has to do with her bank account but these people are calling my cell phone several times a day while I am at work and have some how got my work number and are now leaving nasty messages at my work.
