Still sending junk mail like this to buy extended factory warranty for what? not necesary, those a***oles said in the crappy letter if I don't get it I'll pay double or triple for any damage on the vehicle, Well that is their tactic to impress on ppl to make believe that stupid thing will work for coverage, So believe this is another SCAM, Don't get fool If you have any questions make sure you tell your Car dealer that you receive this suspicious letter and later They make a report to the Police for extortion to buy a never existing Car Warranty coverage, This is operated by a band of thieves, Be Careful.

My letter said essentially the same thing everyone else said. They tried to make it look official but it doesn't have the model or year of the car. At the bottom in small writing it says , "You may have been selected to receive this limited time offer because of "your consumer report, or other data". SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS sound of paper being shredded.

I also got a mail notice that says NEW COVERAGE: POWERTRAIN COVERAGE

Got a letter saying my factory warranty is about to expire or will expire soon for my 2002 jeep 4x4 off road vehicle modded out with 120,000 miles.

These guys pray on the elderly and should be ashamed of themselves.  If you have to resort to trickery to sell your wares then you are working for Evil and Darkness. They should be shut down and strung up. f

Received a *FINAL NOTICE from these scammers. It was the first piece of mail I ever received. Looked like it was done on a cheap '90s copy machine. From 'MOTOR VEHICLE SERVICES' with no address. I called to ask the rep what their address was and he kept asking me questions instead. Apparently, my factory warranty was expiring on a used 1995 vehicle I totaled in an accident back in 2007. Woops, whoever sold them my information was a little behind in the records department! At this point, the rep understood that I knew it was a scam and said he'll take me off the mailing list and won't be bothering me anymore.

I called them and purchased a policy with them. I think there legit., at first you get suspect, maybe i am wrong but they sounded good to me...

Got the same mailer as above and this is maybe the third one. As for me, all unsolicited garbage mail like this goes directly to the shredder.  

The phone number at the top of the mailer is 1-888-407-4968 which is why I am entering this message on 800Notes.  I may have gotten calls from this number in the past but have caller ID and would not have answered.

I'm sure a lot of folks have been fooled into thinking this is from Honda.  Deceptive advertising is a sure sign of a company that wants to rip you off.

Just got the letter. Lucky for us that their mailer is so cheap and unconvincing.  A better looking piece of mail would probably get them a lot more phone calls. Good job on this web site.

Mailer appears to be from Honda, but it's not. Has a return address of Motor Vehicle Services Honda (whatever the hell that is). Postage is paid from Sacramento, so I think our beloved DMV is out selling info to balance the budget or have a party or whatever.

My insurance on the car doesn't expire until July 2017. What a joke. There are a number of these fraudsters around. Anyone with half a brain can see through all their attempts at appearing legitimate.

Pretty much same as "Smart Consumer."  Mailer appears to be from BMW (it is actually from something called "Motor Vehicle Services" located somewhere unstated) and insinuates the factory warranty coverage has expired or is about to expire (it expires in March 2014).  It also states,"***EXTREMELY URGENT AND TIME SENSITIVE***  ***FINAL NOTICE***").  

Called the 888 number and a mouthpiece answered with a company named that included "Royal" something.  Asked if he did not think the mailer was deceptive.  He said, no the expiration date is when their "offer" expires, not our car's BMW factory warranty.  Wow, thanks for the clarification.  

The mailer also states in small print that "You may have been selected to receive this limited time offer because of your consumer report or other data."  Whoever this company actually is, it should not have our "consumer report or other data."

This is a company called MOTOR VEHICLE SERVICES company.  They offer to sell you an URGENT powertrain warranty because your coverage is ABOUT to expire.  My coverage expired 2 years ago.  I asked this guy so many questions he finally hung up on me.  Now they won't answer MY calls :-)

They sent me something in the mail that looks sort of official, but the only identifying information is a MVD # # # # # # (6 digit number).  That pulls up your name and car identification.  Obviously someone sold them info.

Anyway, obviously, don't pay them anything if they are willing to give you a powertrain warranty on a vehicle that hasn't had one for 2 years or more.
