This is a complete scam they just called me with the same type of BS the guy was trying to give him access to my computer via team-viewer. After I played along for a bit I asked him for his phone number and this page came up. They get kind of nasty if you do not cooperate with them he told me I need to put my computer in the trash if I will not have him "help" me lol

So nice of Zane to call me from Windows Security Center to inform me that I was having problems with my PC.  Told him I was skeptical and asked for a phone number to call him back and he gave me the 888-415-4436.    

I was pretty sure this was a scam right off the bat and confirmed my suspicions when I found all the comments on this site.

he said he was from windows security and that the computer has been frozen by malware and he will walk me through the steps to fix it.
I suspect that he wanted remote access to my computer and was going to "walk me through the steps" to get in.

I got the same call from Microsoft repair. Funny thing is that I own Mac computers. Complete bs.

I received a call from these people and was told by man with a very heavy accent that my computer was sending signals that there was viruses on my computer and that he could fix it.  I asked how he got my number and how he even knew that I had a computer which was sending signals to him.  He said he was from Windows Security Center and that he could fix my computer.  He gave me this phone number 888-415-4436 and mumbled the name of the supposed company and said he was in North Carolina.  I told him I would call back and hung up on him.  This has SCAM written all over it!!!

They then tell you they've found "problems" with your computer and they will "fix" them for $200-$300.  Don't fall for this SCAM. Take your computer IMMEDIATELY to a LOCAL  COMPUTER EXPERT. Most computer shops charge no more than $50 to remove malware such as this.

These people introduced themselves to my customer as "Windows Security Service"

My customer installed "SLOW-PC Fighter" and "Smart PC Tuneup" on her computer.   Next thing
she knows, she's getting a phone call from these people who took control of her computer via stealthly
installed remote desktop software "Ammyy Admin"  (filename:  AA_v3.exe)

Luckily she didnt fall for this scam, pulled the plug on her PC, and brought it to an expert to clean.

i also  got a phone call from the guy named james Martin(1888-415-4436) . he fixed my computer and i am very happy with his services...whenever i face  any problem i call him back and he solves my problem

I just got a phone call from this number (Kevin) saying he's from windows and he's been getting messages from my computer saying that someone is trying to access my computer. But I asked him where he got my number he said when I bought the computer I registered it with windows but that was a year ago and I just changed my number a month ago. SCAM!!!

Had iPhone number and IP address when contacted. Must have hacked my iPhone. Would like to ask them to eat my s***.

The only persons who should be touching your computer is you, your manufacturer, Real Windows support that you have called and/or maybe a real live tech you see face to face!

Just got my 5th call from them today. FIFTH! I already told the guy the previous 4 calls thay I work in IT and im not an idiot. Microsoft would nevet call you. He stated he was not from Microsoft but an affiliate contracted by Microsoft Windows for assistance. So being that this time is the 5th one I decide to play along. He asked me to push some buttons on my keyboard but phone was breaking up really bad I couldn't hear. I eventually revealed to him again after getting his name & phone number (Paul 888-415-4436 ext 1005) that I wanted to speak with the manager because I've already been called and that I don't even own a Microsoft computer. I informed him that i already requested 4 previous times today to not be called again and that im reporting him. He started freaking out and cussing at me and eventually hung up.

Its not a scam these guys helped me out........

A woman who called herself "Alina" called me to say someone was accessing my computer. I told her I'd call her back , and asked her what number to call. She said 888-415-4436. I now suspect this was all a scam

They called me saying I had a virus on my Microsoft and then they added to say that they're based out of California which you could tell that they're not based on California I asked them what the temperature was there in California today which it is 50° and they said it was 20°C so I knew it was a scam and I kept them on the phone so hopefully that helps other people this is a big scam and dont waste your time !!

Received a phone call from "unavailable".  Answered it and the caller on the other end started to explain that my computer was sending error messages to Microsoft. He could sign in remotely and access my computer to find out why. I explained that my computer wasn't having any issues that I was aware of. He gave me a name, ID# and a toll-free phone number to call back. It was difficult to understand him with his accent but I was able to get 415-4436 out of it.
