If they used threats to get you to pay some "debt" you didn't even owe, then you were extorted.

Immediately contact your bank to dispute any payments as fraudulent.  If you do so within 60 days of the statement showing the disputed charges, your bank can reverse them. That is your best chance of getting your money back.

I have recently been scammed by the same company. The guy I talked to was Cliff Branch and he threaten me with all sorts of different things. The truth is I never even had the credit card he said I owned nor did the bank have any records of the credit card I supposedly had. So if anyone receives a phone call from this number hang up and call the police to file a report.

Now we know what a joke they are, thank you.

This call was for someone who does not live here.  The person on the phone gave a docket # as reference and said papers would be served to the person they were looking for if they did not receive a call.  The language used gave the impression they were calling from the local sheriff's office. I've  asked this company, I think it must be a debt collection agency, I do not know where the person is they are seeking, nor do I know how to get in touch with them.  I've told them before to remove my phone # from their contact list, but they still call.

Call the local police.  This is threatening.  And call your telephone, cell phone service provider. They may be able to help you.

Called twice in the last two weeks. Looking for someone named Carol Weston, never heard of this person, asked if I was married to her or a sister, NO, never heard of her. Cindy Adams stated she was trying to serve a summons on this Carol Weston. Wanted to know my SSN, forget that, this was to be sure I was NOT married to Carol Weston. What a joke.

They called my old business yesterday saying something about a case number and to call David.  I went online to look it up.  Wow these guys are relentless it seems. 2 years ago I got a call from someone pretending to be an IRS agent now This!  No Shame these people.

Received a phone call from 1-888-416-8110, Requesting information about a n individual with a Doket number. This people have been advised by me to stop.

These people are calling my home, my relatives and my husbands employer.  They call cell phones and landlines.  When I request a legitimate business name, they will not give one, they say they are calling from the county where I live- the process servers division.  A man also threatened to come to my house and make me suck his__________.  He also called my husband and said they were going to send someone to his job and "harrass" him.  They will not give me a supervisor name, number or business name.

They are still calling my relatives, using a female caller. Cindy Adams aka who knows?  Leaving messages I have 24 hours or else. They are now using the term a complant has been filed against me. This has been going on over 2 years now. They give up for a while then start again. It gets tiring.But not falling victum to them. And yes they are busy.  They call like clock work. Unfortunate someone gave out a relatives phone number, unlisted, mine too. So they will have it changed.

This is a total scam---they use to use a real phone number when they called. I reported them to the FTC and they quit calling. Now, months later when you see the call coming in, caller ID just shows 8220 and the message asks you to call 888-416-8110 or you will be served papers on a complaint filed against you----WRONG!!! Total rip-off artists. Looks like I have to file with the FTC again!  And yes, the caller uses the name David White (he sure is busy!) ha ha

Yep, my bro is mentally unstable lives cross country and I haven't spoken to him in years.  I got a call and a so called docket number for my brother...well since they have been told her is mentally unstable, maybe they can cross him off their list.  They are trying everything these days to collect debts, many are so old that they can't be touched yet they are preying on those that they think will actually believe their bull and pay up.  Ignore them and let them know you've reported them or tell them the person they are calling about is with God now, that oughta stop them.

They've been calling me several times a month looking for someone else with the same last name. They claimed they were with the  "County Processor". Which county, who knows. Every call say they need to be contacted within 24 hours.

I also am getting the same phone calls, they will tell anyone who will listen any information regarding the person.  This is also against the law.  I would love to know who this is, I am getting a lawer to handle this for me, and reporting this to the state attorney general.

You are a liar sir.  You just called my phone...you are the scammer who is illegally collecting.  You deserve to land in prion getting your poor little a** violated for the crimes you commit.

by paying this scammer, you have just reopened the case and now they can legally sue you for the debt.  if the debt they are collecting against is past the statute of limitations, they can't do anything...but as soon as you make a payment to them, the date starts over from scratch.   NEVER pay over the phone and ALWAYS ask for paper documentation.  If they can't prove they own the debt and are legally able to collect on the debt, you can sue them.

The fact that Mr White has ran your credit without written consent from you is a violation of federal law.  By doing that alone, he is committing a federal crime and can be sued for triple damages.  The debt must be removed at that point as well.  There is a multitude of sites that will help you write a letter that will end all the calls, and cause him to have to pay you for damages due to his illegal collection practices and the illegal run of your credit report.

To Mr David White.  You sir are an idiot and are committing multiple federal crimes with your illegal collection practices.  You, by law, are not allowed to make threats via phone which is what has happened with the threats of a lawsuit (which you have no legal rights to under the federal regulations).  You also are breakign multiple state and federal laws by illegally identifying yourself as a member of the courts.  Not to mention, you never obtained mine or my wifes legal consent to run our credit, which is required by law.  You have called my cell phone number multiple times before 8am, which is also illegal.  I have a nice long running list of documented crimes that you have been committing while attempting to collect on a debt that you don't own the rights to collect on.  The statute of limitation exists for a reason, and threatening to take us to court is not helping you any...you don't have any legal ground to stand on at this point in time.  Hope you have the money to pay for the lawsuit I'm bringing to you and your illegal collection company.  You'll be the one paying for the debt and paying us for double damages due to excess harassment.   Good day to you.
