My 87 year old mother received a call from this number today stating that they were Bank of America and wanted to help her lower her interest rate on her credit card with them.  She gave them her number and charged $1,999 at GS GREEN

If you know their address, time that they work and a name and number.  Deliver pizzas to them, not 1 not 2, but about 10.  I had a company in Atlanta bothering me claiming I owed them mony, which I didn't since I never even knew the company existed until they called.  After threatening me with legal action, I needed to know where to send a check, they gave me there address, looked it up and they were there.  Dominos delivered 7 pizzas to Erin, a friend called them up after I called and verified the order and added some sodas.  Keep to a small reasonable number and the won't get suspicious.  When they refuse they are put on the Pizza folks list of bad deliveries and will usually have to pay for their pizza with a credit card in advvance.  Since then I don't have a land line, just a cell phone and I don't give out the number, I don't enter any contest or tell a store when they ask, they don't need my phone number to sell things.

Google "Telephone Consumer Protection Act" (TCPA) This is a federal law,47 U.S.C. 227, that allows anyone to sue telemarketers who make pre-recorded calls to your home telephone without your written permission.  You can sue them  in your local small claims court.  Even if the company is not in your home state, you can still file suit and obtain statutory damages of $500 per call.

Don't bother complaining to the FTC or FCC.  They will just file away your complaint and do nothing.

I received a call from this number this afternoon about loans (government loans, allegedly.) The message (besides being in violation of FCC regulations) pretends that it's a call-back to a call I allegedly made about a mortage loan which, of course, is a lie.  ( a) I never made any such call, b) My name is not on the property, only my husband's, c) We've owned this home free-and-clear for well over a decade, d) We live within our means so we have no need of a mortage -- especially a 'loan' from a scam artists.)  By the way, this is NOT a loophole of the Do-Not-Call list.  It's an illegal call.  Pretending you're calling someone back when they did not initiate the original call is a violation of the DNC.  Lies are not covered by law.

The idiotic message was long-winded and, not surprisingly, you have to leave a message because "Ashley" (more like Ash-hole) is allegedly on the other line with someone else.  (Maybe they got tired of listening to the complaints of people who are familiar with the workings of scam artists like them.)  I left my opinion of Ash-hole's illegal call, not that it will do any good because scam artists don't care if they annoy you and the FCC is too useless to do anything about them.

You saved me the trouble of typing the message myself.  Thanks.  I love how she claims that I called her and that she's calling back.  It's a pretty flimsy loophole to the National DNC Registry.

I did call back, and I left a message ordering that my number be removed.

Recording saying that we had requested a call about our mortgage.  First of all, I never called.  Second, I don't have  mortgage.  Do they think they can get around the Do Not Call list by claiming that we asked for a call.  These people need to be prosecuted.

This number just called me as well,  I never called them, but they left a message I did,  I've been to the phone company, the AG and FCC.  I don't see why they can't get them shut down. except they work out of a warehouse in some cases others out of our country.  The more idiots that will answer even a few of their questions the more money they rip off people.  People need be more diligent bout reporting them  at every call. My heart goes out to the young & elderly who have fallen victim for this stuff Its those that they prey appon.  Help pass the word many many scammers out there.  They seem to be getting the info from all over.  be cautous be safe. don't give them anything. Unlist your numbers and be careful with who you speak.

I called the number again, as promised.  "Mary" answered again.  I didn't say a word, just blew my emergency whistle into the receiver.  Ahhh!  Annoying them back with repeated phone calls IS therapeutic.

I tried finding "First Choice Medication(s)" on-line and, not surprisingly, came up with nothing which is yet another sign that this "company" is nothing more than a scam.

Rcvd a call from these scamming idiots this afternoon with an illegal recorded message claiming that it's a call-back in response to a call I made to them regarding a mortgage which, naturally, is a blatant lie.  When I pressed 1 to talk to someone so I could give them my opinion about illegal calls and the scamming scum that make them, I ended up having to leave a message.  I called back a little later and got to speak with a woman (maybe even the "Ashley" (more like Ash-hole) herself.)  She identified the company as "First Choice."  I asked what the company phone number was and she said, "What?" When I repeated my question, she promptly hung up - a clear sign of a scam artist who KNOWS they're operating illegally.  I called right back and got a "Mary" (I think she said) but, oddly, it sounded like the same voice and this time she identified the company as "First Choice Medication." I mentioned the mortgage call and she said that they handle calls for either mortgages or medications and that I must have called them from an ad.  I told her that was a blatant lie and that they know that.  She hung up.  I called back.  Same woman, identified it as "First Choice Medication" again.  I asked her if she knew her calls were illegal?  She hung up again.  I called right back yet again and, not surprisingly, got the message system.  I left a message and advised them they should check the FCC website about the laws regarding prerecorded messages and Do-Not-Call lists and told them/her that I, and many others, had reported their illegal calls to the FCC.

I think I'll try calling again later.  And again.  And again.  Let's see how they like getting annoying, unwanted phone calls.

Harsh?!  Not harsh enough for these scam artists who operate illegally, in clear violation of FCC regulations -- at the VERY least.  B.S. you did business with them because legitimate companies comply with our laws.

Got a message from Ashley yesterday.  Called her office back (using Skype, so it registers my number as 123456 on their end).  Spoke to someone named Erin.  Asked if I could speak to Ashley.  She said "May I have your name" and I said "no".  She put me on hold and then hung up.

I called back  :)   I asked for Ashley again.  This time, I was told "She is with a client" but I could leave  my name and number for her to call me back.  The company is called 1st Choice Mitigation.  They have a website, http://1stchoicemitigation.com/ .  I called the phone number listed on their website and it immediately went to a voicemail for "Ashley".

Shows their address as:

220 Newport Center Drive Suite 604
Newport Beach, CA 92660

I have filed a complaint with the FCC, as we are on the No-call list and we have never done business with any loan modification program.

I got this message from Ashley and our home is paid for. I don't want to debate the fact that some people do need help with their mortgage, but our house is thankfully paid for and I do not appreciate a random message, that anyone in my household can hear which makes it seem I may have some sort of loan that I do not have. It is slanderous to incinuatethat  I am in financial trouble and this should be against the law to leave these messages, let alone messages that have no truth to them.

If you are the do not call list you shouldn't have to ask to be removed.  They shouldn't be calling you at all.  I did call them back and talked with some girl identified as Meghan.  When I asked why they repeatedly called me despite indicating to be blocked during earlier calls she apologized and when I asked to be removed from her database and informed her I was on the national do not call and would file a complaint against the company she represented since I never worked with this company she claimed to work for, First Choice, she promptly hung up the phone.  Her name was included in my complaint.
