I don't who this is

I just got a call to my cell phone from a local number (956) 587-0945. They were looking for a relative. When I asked what it was in reference to the lady became very rude. I explained to her my relative is ill and I only give medical information to her family. She got even more rude and told me to just have her call 888-364-8728 and hung up. I didn't understand the company name but i believe she said drs or drf. how can i block them from calling my cell? i have t mobile service. I don't even know how they got MY number -_-

Dynamic Recovery Services collection b*****ds who lie about everything and also were very sexually suggestive to me on several calls.  Tried to say I owed them money, which I don't and then solicted membership in NAMBLA.  gross.

Received call as most above have described only it was a Mr Stein this time from 850-387-0294.

408-637-5361 :  This number is some debt collector- left a voicemail for me to call back to an 800 number.   Somehow they masked it so it seems like it's a # from my local area code.

-I have no debts so this may have been a spammer

The following is the transcript of a Vmail left by a very serious Mr Shaw, using the scare tactic of an exaggerated deep voice & mystery behind its company's identity.  I wish I could play it for you b/c I actually laughed out loud when I listened to it... the first time... it's definitely entertainment worth listening to over & over, accompanied by an obvious hint regarding the nature of this harassment.  And kudos to the rep that can get any dept out of me; I owe everybody!

Received 2 calls. One from 888.582.0117, Ms Espes and one from 888.420.7233, Mr King. Called both numbers and they go to the same company they wouldn't divulge. They are a debt collector looking for someone that doesn't live there. I've had this number for 7 + years and not sure why this is a problem. Seems every time the debt is sold to somebody else I get the same round of calls. I wish this guy would pay is debt or they would figure out calling the same number this guy doesn't have won't solve their problem.

Received call from 423-274-3474 on 1-17-12 from Matt stating he wanted to talk to "L":.  I stated that was not me and could I take a message.  He was rude and said it was regarding a lawsuit.  (I don't have any lawsuit.)  I told him I would give her a message about his call and what was his number.  He gave me 508-744-6936.  Why can't these people be shut down??

I keep getting calls from "mr king" and some other lady saying "we have your number as a contact number it's very important that you get back to us at 888-420-7233" they only leave messages, i've never picked up a phone call from them.

I just checked my voicemail said it was urgent from mr. King and that I needed to call back after I said my name he said you need to have Lisa Mendez call us back right away I was laughing and said is this some sort of joke? I can assure you this is no joke miss and then I was like I don't know anyone by that name and he was like you need to tell your mother Lisa Mendez to call us back and I was like exscuse me? I'm not related to any mendezs!!!! He was like sure miss have her call us and I wish you luck. Wtf? Lol whatever. What a joke!

Edit to my original timeline: I got a message from "Ted" in June, 2011 and that is when I asked to have my number removed. That seems to have lasted for about 6 months. As of this writing, the "Ted" post can be viewed here:

As you can see there was yet ANOTHER phone number they were using... (calling FROM 937-329-9899 - which is semi-local for me - and asking for a return call TO 855-820-5187).

On second glance I think DRS Bonded is the company (not DRS, Inc.). DRS Bonded appears to be a local (southwestern Ohio) collections agency. I am not sure if they are at all affiliated with DRS, Inc.

I just got another call from these people today (and another voice mail since I didn't answer). The script being read was the nearly same, verbatim, apart from a different name (this time it was a woman with a British accent - how fancy!) and a different phone number to call back to:

"This is Miss Estes. We have this as a contact number regarding a matter in our office. If you would, please contact this office as soon as possible. It is extremely important. Our number here is 888-582-0117. Again our number is 888-582-0117. It is very important that we receive your return call as soon as possible. I appreciate your cooperation. Thank you."

Once again the call originated from a local number of 513-253-0641. I am going to cross-post this in the 888-582-0117 and 513-253-0641 threads as well since it is clearly the same people calling.

Rec'd voicemail from Richard Cain to call regarding an important matter (same aggressive/rude/urgent tone others are reporting).

I called back with my phn# blocked.  The guy who answered did not identify himself by name nor his company.  I said "I recieved a message to call regarding an important matter but your company name was not left.  What company is this?"

He asked for my phone number.  I told him I will give him my phone number but first tell me what company this is.

He said "Good-bye" and hung up.

Scam!  Or at best unlawful collection company.

I just got the same rude call from Mr. King. doesn't he know about this website. Everyone already knows he's a fraud

I received the above voice mail on my cell phone at 9:15am today from 513-253-0641, which for me is a local number. This same company called me about a year or two ago from another number with the same basic pitch. Some background information about me: someone named Ashley Collins has been giving out my number to just about everyone she comes into contact with for at least the 4+ years that I have had this number. I have had debt collectors calling for this Ashley person for just as long and I have also had a number of African American males calling my number from time-to-time (as recently as 12/28/2011) asking for Ashley, along with one instance 3-4 years back where a dude was sending me texts and shirtless pictures of himself for Ashley. To clarify: I am a white guy. Whoever Ashley is, believe me - I am not her.

Anyway, back when this company first called me (last year or the year before) I called them back as a courtesy to them and to try (just once) to get my number off of someone's collection list for Ashley. I called back and spoke to their operator and explained the situation with the phone number and I was told my number would be removed from their list. That actually seemed to work... until today. So either they got a new debt in their list for Ashley (since she is clearly still giving people this number) or else this company decided to dust off the old contact numbers on the same debt they were holding earlier. In either case, I'm not happy to be hearing from them again. I have *never* been to collections and I have good credit. Why should I be receiving some deadbeat's collection calls? Time for a new cell number, I guess. How much worse could the next one be?

So, my point is that as far as I know these people are an actual collection agency called "Dynamic Recovery Services, Inc." or "DRS" for short. [http://www.drsinc.us/]

I don't think they are a scam per se. I think they just buy really old or noncollectable debts from other collection companies for a penny or two and then try the shotgun approach to collecting on them.

Maybe. I had a Chase account some time around the first time I got a call from these people (about a year or two ago). I no longer have any business with Chase but I'm still getting calls from these clowns even today.

If Chase gave these guys my number I'll have some strong words for them.

I just got a caqll from a guy that it is very urgent that I call him back., No Name of company or who it is. Just said urgent matter... Not answering or calling back if I don't know who it is or what it is for.

Received call from 405-555-0199.  Caller left an urgent message for a call back to 888-420-7233.  When calling that number I am put on hold and then to a recording that all of their agents are busy and for me to call back.

Also received message to call 888-420-7233 but incoming caller ID was from 405-555-0199 (not kidding about the 555- number!)  Area code 405 is NOT local to my area.  Message left identical to as referenced in other posts here.

Stop them from harrassing you-get a call-blocker. See my post on whocallsme for (305) 918-2338 for more information.

Received a message to call back Mr. King regarding a very urgent matter.  Never identified which company or what the urgent matter was concerning.

Will not call back and insist that no more calls are received.  Stop making such harrassing calls!!!

debt collector

Had the same experience but said that they could take up to 25% of my income through garnishing my wages if I am gainfully employed.  I told her that I would not discuss anything over the phone due to the many scams that are out there and that they could mail me something, was told that any mail would have been sent by the credit collection company that had the dept before them and that they do not mail anything out but would be happy to tell me everything.  She got rude I got rude she began to curse and I said I do not have to speak to you and hung up..  I think it is a scam!

just received a similar call when i returned it the representitive i spoke with would not give me his name or the name of the company he represents but said the matter had to be taken care of today.Go figure anyway he continued to talk to me and let it be known that this matter was going to be taken care of today his way or no way very rude and belligerent.If he cant send me documentation of the debt i supposedly owe thats his loss.

Got the same type of call this morning.  I called back from my work and the 405-555-0195 message said if you want a "government listing press 1, a residential listing press 2".  The 800-420-7233 message did not identify the company but said that all representatives were busy assisting customers.  I hung up and we are going to block that number on our phone.

Mr. King just called me to.. Did not identify himself , bunch of noise in the back ground.. Mr. King needs to find another method of communication.. May need to go to his restroom or somewhere quiet to call whoever he's calling.. Damn, shame

I just got the same call.  Call came in from 405-555-0199 and a loud man said it was very important that I call him back immediately @ 888-420-7233.  Sorry not gonna do it.

I received a message from an Oklahoma number that told me to call 888-420-7233 and he said his name was Mr. Kane and he said he had me listed as a contact. He also said it was urgent and that I should call him immediatly. I realized it was most likely a scam. my curiosity got the better of me, so I called this number and it was an old woman who seemed just as confused as I and said that nobody lives their.

In my situation they did not harass me or ask information that I obviously wouldn't have given them. Instead they seemed to have gave me a random persons phone number.

You can always try this number with them. Give them this credit card number
