I called this number, it is Gannett News Customer Service. I had a recurring fee for about $12-$13 every month. Turns out some time ago we suspended our subscription to the Cincinnati Enquirer while we were on vacation. We never restarted the subscription when we returned. Since we never actually cancelled our subscription, this fee was for online access to the newspaper's website. I called the 888 number and cancelled this access and officially cancelled the newspaper as well.

This is GAN*GANNETTOHM 888-426-0491 IN. I called them because I have a charge on my bank account for this company. They are the billing company for the Cincinnati Enquirer. I signed up on 8/22, received first paper 8/30. The CSR that answered the phone kindly credited the money since it's too soon to re-bill me. It's the principle of the matter. DAMN IT! ha

Just noticed they charged my account 45.00.  The local paper called us last week, and we cancelled our weekend paper.  Then this shows up on our account.  I have contacted my bank through e-mail and will call that 888 number as if it would help.  I see I'm not nearly alone in this ripoff...

This showed up on my bank statement from my credit card. They had a charge but I have not authorized anything. I am calling my bank in the norming to dispute it. Seems they have something to do with a local paper and if that is the case I am cancelling my paper now as well as the card On the statemnt is saying "GAN GANNETT Ohio Mediacirc

It is multiple paper companies and they will rip you off. BE VERY AWARE!!!
We were told the paper would be 15$ and would start August 5 since we paid cash to get it started before July.  They tried to bill me mid July for 12.95 and then August 7 for 28.50. Spoke with them twice to get it resolved but ended up canceling it because they refused to make the bill right.

If you subscribe to  a local newspaper owned by Gannet, that is what this charge probably is.

I too have a charge on my CC bill this month from this phone # and GAN*subscription.  It is Gannett as I subscribe to their News Leader daily paper out of Springfield MO.  USED to show up that way!  thanks for saving me a call on!

Have a subscription charge on my account, but it does not list the name of the subscription.  When I called the number I was told, by a recording, to leave my number and I would get a call back.  I am calling my credit card company to dispute the charge.

We have been charged on our credit card by this number for 21.69 last month and this month.  Who is Gan*Subscription??

I got through on the phone number. It is Gannet Newspaper subscriptions.  It appears that out local paper has been taken over by this company.

It could be any newspaper owned by Gannett.  In my case, the Louisville Courier Journal.  It seems they change the billing name every other month and it has created a lot of confusion in our household, but it is legit.

This number shows up on credit card or bank statements for a subscription to any of the multitude of national and local news agencies and other companies owned by the Gannett company.  This includes, but is not limited to USA Today, DealChicken.com, Fort Collins Coloradoan, etc...  The same number shows up whether it is a print subscription or a digital subscription.

Had a charge to my bank account for $13 and change with this number listed as the contact - tried calling and it wouldn't go through

Have a charge on my Visa statement for 6.22, dated 3/26.  I have no subs. to USA Today or anything else.  I received no call, the phone number was listed on the Visa Stmt.

I saw this phone# on my credit card statement but didn't recognize the company name.  I called the #.  It's USA Today newspaper - which I do have a subscription to.  The company on the CC statement appears as GAN.
