This number called and the person said my credit was denied.  She had a very foreign accent.  My bank was NOT the one that called.

this number was re-published and unfortunatley to my business....we are not a company that needs a credit card # or any personal information.....dont know who had this number before us but i think the phone company should know about these sites before they hand out a bad number to a decent company

These people (scammers, scavengers) are what we refer to as MUTHAs!  Don't look at MFers as a bad thing, it's just someone up to NO GOOD; Someone with nothing else better to do than to waste the time and energy of hard working people.  SO just ignore the MFers! They'll eventually go away.  The call is a scam.

Don't call it back.  It's just like spam. If you respond now they have a phone number that they know is legit and will use it again or sell it to someone else.

Same here.  Got an automated phone call saying my Visa Debit card had been deactivated for ATM and Debit use.  I don't have one.  Just to be sure I checked with my bank and credit card companies.  None of them do anything like this.  I didn't bother calling the number they left because I knew it was likely a scam and they would ask for an acount.

A***oles.  They'll probably rip off a bunch of people, the Banks will end up eating it (that WE bailed out), and some loser in India or Africa will be living the good life among peasants because he stole some money.

Seriously - we should have the FBI hunt these scum down, pay their own countries police a percentage to get them busted and locked away.

This number just called my 15 year old daughter's cellphone saying the same as swmech, that her Visa debit card had been deactivated and to reactivate it either stay on the line and they could take care of it right then or call 1-800-391-8637, although after reading swmech she said it could have been 8627. She does have a Visa debit card so she was very concerned. She said it was a very automated voice and even cut out at points where key information should have been stated clearly, like the bank name? Holiday Season and the scammers are busy.
