These scammers called me and said that I had to switch to Digital Service thru Uverse because A T & T was discontinuing analog service.
They assured me all my equipment would continue to work thru the internet service, I know for a fact my Credit Card machine will not and I had my doubts about my security system. They also told me they would lower my bill, then proceeded to quote me a price that was below my total bill but higher than my current bill before fees and taxes.
I called and asked to speak to a Supervisor and got Paul who assured me that he worked for AT&T and I asked specifically if he worked for AT&T or a contractor and he said AT&T for a fact, when I had already called the number on my AT&T bill and verified that I could keep my analog service and these people DO NOT work for AT&T.
When I got back in Paul's face with the facts he started " are you still there? Hello..Hello ... are you there?" and cut me off. He did this on 2 different days, the same scripted lines!!
They are Bogus Do Not be Fooled into changing based on their lies!!!

Today a so-called At&t Rep called my business and I guess they must have mistaken my business for a restaurant and placed an order for a meal. The person said they were ordering the meal for Business Telecom Solution suite 201A @ 7777 Davie Road Extension, Hollywood, Florida 33024 and to knock on the doors. I take it the Rep was new because I called back and their intro was Hello this is At&t Business Solution Provider, I said you just called my business for an order but this is not a restaurant, and they proceed into their little script. They offered me a 100 visa card, installation & equipment no cost to my business, then asked for email address, fax number, & a secondry number for their Techs if I'm not at my business. I hung up and called my At&t Rep for my business which she said is a scam. Luckly I was able to get the address from the idoit(Thank You Idiot) and passed it to my rep. She's contacting the Florida At&t Government Solution Corporate office to put these theives out of business for lying to customers in order to switch to Uverse....My rep also informed me that Dsl will be here for the next 12 years, so don't switch and let them scare you by saying your service will be interrupted it's simply not true!!!!!!

tom in defense of the telemarketers of which i am one you are sadly misinformed I am a college student with no criminal history. With both parents deceased raising my sister. I am not a drug addict or a scumbag I am simply trying to survive give us a break we have a job to do

Every aspect of what you have stated is correct! I would like to add to your post, that it was published in the AARP Bulletin that many, if not most, of the telemarketers hired as scammers are drug addicts, working on a commission "earning" money to support their habits by cheating the decent people in society. They do have no remorse for their victims--only a constant urge to get money to feed their addictions.They are truly a disgusting lot of sub-human creatures!

Telemarketers are for the most part unemployable in respect to a real job.  They live a parasitic life by taking from others.  The typical telemarketer has no skills, education or future.  The females are often on welfare and those who are male have criminal records.  All of them are compulsive liars with no self-esteem.  The only thing they excel in is taking advantage of other people for which they have no remorse.

They call at the same time every day. Today's idiot must have been new because she kept trying to have me listen to her script rather than hang up like the others do. I asked for her manager & told mgr to google her phone number to realize we know they are scammers. When I asked the so called manager how it felt to be lying to & cheating people, her reply was "I make a lot of money" and hung up.

I gol a call form 888-431-1897 saying they are from at&t i need chage the modem and represesentative is going to call me to make an appoiment to render this services, then some body called asking for my email to sent me an agreement for me to signe, 5 minutes later i got an email from at@t, asking for social and electronic this document. Then i called At&t and they said that this is an scam

They call continuously.  About every half hour, everyday, for the past two weeks.  When I pick up no one says anything and then they hang up...

THEY CALL OVER AND OVER AND ARE RUDE. THEY ARE NOT AT&T, THEY ARE COMPETITORS  OF AT&T, "BIRCH COMMUNICATIONS". I FOUND THIS WHEN I CALLED THE 800 NUMBER THEY CALLED ME FROM. I CALLED A " EXISTING CUSTOMER NUMBER" LISTED ON THE MENU I GOT. I THEN CALLED AND SPOKE TO A NICE LADY IN THE CUSTOMER SERVICE, WHO WAS SUPPOSED TO PUT ME ON A DO NOT CALL LIST. YEAH RITE, YOU KNOW THE NAME OF THAT TUNE...

these are scumbag shysters! Definitely not AT&T!!!

They call everyday usually more than once at my work. They claim to be AT&T and ask for the person in charge of the account. Our owner and account live in another state and I don't have those numbers. I tell them that and they still call and call from different numbers. There is a lot of background noise, and these people are reading a script. If you ask them anything that deviates from the script, they get confused, stumble over their words and usually mumble sorry and hang up. The funny thing is, they said our DSL may be interrupted every time they've called this week. We have U-Verse for one, and the service has never been interrupted. SCAMMERS!!!!

SAME THING HERE NOT ATT

They said they were with AT&T repeatedly and said our DSL service is obsolete and we needed to upgrade to the new U-verse service.  If we did not change the service it could take up to 20 days to get it changed in the future.  I asked them again if the were with AT&T and he said yes.  There was lots of commotion  in the back ground so I knew it had to be a call center.  I told him we already had U-verse and he mumble and apologized for calling us in error. RIGHT!

I got a call today-their phone was realy breaking up-culd hardly understand the person, when I said your phone is breaking up the "lady" said %$#@%%$ right!....sounded foreign

Keep getting calls saying they are from AT&T's migration department and our service will be interrupted because we are currently using a DSL service.  I called AT & T and they said it's a scam and they know nothing about it.  Verified phone number and asked if she specifically worked for AT & T and she said yes.  Phone number 888-431-1897 ext 6725.  Some other websites list this as a scam.

They are saying they are from AT&T  but they are scammers!!!!  When I repeatedly asked their name they said have a nice day stupid a**.  Unreal!!
