What corporation does Amanda front for?

I've gotten 3 or 4 of these "Hi, my name is Amanda" calls with this 800 number.  I haven't called back.  The calls are coming from 319-284-1903, which a search online says is a DishNetwork phone number.  I am not a Dish customer (have been in the past before) but not currently.  I'm ignoring the calls.

Amanda call me @ my toll free number 888-432-0130, again, 888-432-0130.

Everyday for months. I have never done business with dish network. How do we shut these people down!  the nerve.

That "Hi, this Amanda"! Sweet little voice, sure got me in trouble when the wife heard it. We both thought is was one of those "phone sex" numbers. I am still getting grief over it. BUT, it they want to play the mystery game, well I don't have to answer. If they tell me who they are - really - then I will call them back. They probably don't even have an Amanda working there!

I got about 5 of those calls and most of the time simply ignored them but it got to the point where it was annoying.  I called the 888 432 0130 number and got to speak with someone without that much trouble.  They were looking for someone else and said that they will stop calls.

Got the "hi, this is Amanda" call.  I called right back the 1-888 number and got "Pat".  I asked to speak to Amanda.  She said she wasn't available, but if I gave her my phone number she could help me.  I said, "No, I'd rather speak to Amanda.  Have her give me a call back. Thanks."  Pat said as I was hanging up, "Sir, Amanda is an automated computer dialing system." and I said, "bye."  For being a computer system, she sure sounds human to me. A.I. is taking over the world.  I thought her name was supposed to be V.I.K.I.???

It is from the CBE collection agency, however you cannot call that phone number back because someone picks up and hangs back up on you

"Hi, My name is Amanda give me a call at my toll free number 1-888-432-0130"

I've never bothered calling them. They call every single day including weekends. Sometimes they call late

Legally, they are allowed to call up until 9:00 PM. Past that is against FCC regulations....

DISH NETWORKS CONTINUES TO HARASS MY 82 YEAR-OLD MOTHER BECAUSE THE SERVICE WAS CANCELLED BECAUSE IT DID NOT WORK PROPERLY.  THE DISH IS LOCATED ON THE ROOF ABOUT 40 FEET ABOVE THE GROUND AND NOBODY IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD GO ON THAT ROOF DURING THE WINTER TIME.  THE "SMILEY" AND "PLEASANT" LITTLE MINOINS FROM DISH AGREED WITH THE LOGIC ABOVE AND TOLD HER SHE COULD WAIT UNTIL SPRINGTIME TO RETURN THE DISH....THEN COME THE BILLS AND PHONECALLS.  NOW THE RECOVERY DUTIES HAVE BEEN PASSED ON TO THOSE COWARDLY LITTLE PEOPLE AT CBE.  "COLLECTOR" APPARENTLY HAS BEEN BRAINWASHED BY HIS EVIL OVERLORDS INTO BELIEVING ALL THEY DO IS JUSTIFIED.  GIVE IT UP "COLLECTOR".  YOU WILL NEVER GET THAT MANAGEMENT POSITION AT THE CALL CENTER AND YOU WILL CONTINUE TO RECEIVE YOUR BASE PAY OF $17K + COMMISIONS UNTIL YOU WISE UP AND GET A REAL JOB.

I get the same phone call day after day including weekends and the calls never stop. All i hear is Hi, This is Amanda please give me a call at 1-800-432-0130 I am so sick of these calls, luckily my machine picks up! They never say who they are with or who they are calling for. I called back from a different number to find out who they are and the machine does not tell you anything.

I get the Amanda calls too.  At least 4 times day or night. and Late yes! the number that comes in to my phone is: 1-319-274-1903 but the voice message is for the 1-888 432-0130 number.  I had an account with Dish but returned my box to them, so when she called my husband ans, the phone, they were rude and would not tell him anything and hung up on him, why should I call them when they are soooo rude. I'll wait for there letter!!

I get a message from the same voice "Amanda" saying exactly the same thing.  It is definately annoying.  I don't see how these people can live with themselves doing what they do.

Just like all the others.  Amanda calls and I hang up.  Google:  You need to forward all these replies to the "Do Not Call' folks.

Nearly every day I get a message on my answering machine asking me to call Amanda at 1-888-432-0130. I'm not going to call them no matter how often they call. Several times every day I get a message on my machine with no one talking, just several clicking noises as if they hung up. I have been called by several collection agencies for years even though I have no debt & keep all my bills paid. I have a common name that many other guys have (including my father) & they think I'm the one who owes money. Like one who says I owe money to Zales Jewelers though I don't. The collection agencies should do more research into the people who owe them money & not bother the people who don't owe money!

Same senario as above.  Called the number and she asked us our name and I replied I needed to know what company they were from first.  She promply said that this call would be ended and hung up.

This Amanda chick has begun calling our house.  We have NEVER had dish network, and all our bills are paid on time every month.

People do pay their bills and yet come to hard times and some of these debts are many years like 10 or more and yet Collection agents buy these ancient debts and harass people so do us a favor the next time you collectors call answer the questions,  talk with Professionalizm and quit dodging the people who call for some answers and quit harassing those when they say that no one lives there by that name and move on.

We pay our bills.  We have never dealt with DISH and have no outstanding debt.  I resent being harrassed just because we moved and had to get a new phone number.

We keep getting a recording call from Amanda wanting us to return her call at this number.  She sounds like a friend but keeps calling.  I tried to call the number back and got a recording at the beginning that didn't say the name of the company.  So, I just hung up.

Has anyone figured out a way to STOP getting calls from "Amanda"?! This is really getting on my nerve..

Not so simple as just paying your bills collector. I had DISH in 2006 up until we sold our house. I cancelled the account in Sept. 2006 and returned BOTH DISH receivers via their postage-paid  return label and cartons. I kept both tracking receeipts and push-pinned them to our bulletin board. They returned to wherever (somewhere in Texas, I believe)and three or four months passed. Finally I tossed out the receipts one day and no sooner did I do that and I get a bill in the mail for $800.00 from DISH. I called them immediately and was told that I never returned the two boxes. I was extremely upset to hear that since we have done everything possible to pay every bill that we have ever had promptly to the point where we have cultivated a credit score in the high 780+ range. In all fairness to DISH, I believe the problem was due to that ATT + DISH combined billing that I had agreed to in order to get a super price on the services when I enrolled. I called DISH and explained everything to the woman on the phone and ultimately she looked up the serial numbers of the boxes that I had supposedly "not returned" and found that they had both been reassigned to a new customer. Their records did not show that we had returned them but she agreed that I must have since someone else now had them. I was  told that the mistake would be corrected. Then 4 months later I start getting these calls from Amanda, or whomever she is, I explained it all and she wouldn't believe me and claimed that CBE had sent me some papers that I never received. I called DISH back and they looked up all of my past accounts and couldn't find anything that was a problem with any of my accounts (I currently have DISH) and she told me NOT to pay anything. Another month and I get a live call from CBE and I explained that to her and she said that it was OK and that DISH had some accounts "freeze up" over the winter and their billing records had been wiped out and that she would make a note of my account being OK. Fine! A couple of weeks pass by and I start getting the phone calls again from this automated caller.The point is that you can do everything correctly and pay your bills on time and STILL get these nuisance calls from hell. Like an endless loop. God only knows what this is doing to my credit rating.

I've been getting calls from "Amanda" too. I have no outstanding debts of any kind, and am on the do-not-call list, so I've reported this. Very very annoying.

pay ur bills and u wont be annoyed by amanda....she is an automated call just trying to have the debtor call back. cbe is a legitamite company. all u have to do is pay ur bills ppl!

kept getting message from "Amanda" to call 888-432-0130. Called, ready to tell them off....(on Do not call list)...told the person that answered ("Julie") a message was left. Told me they were looking for xxxxxxx (which I know is the person that had my number before...6 years ago!...I;ve gotten calls for him from collections agencies every 6 months or so since having this number). I told her he hasn't had this number for years, she apologized, said she would remove my number.... We'll see if that's true.
