They call from different numbers and tell you to call this 888-434-8459.... Why not just call from that number??? Yep said I owe on CC that the balance is over 6,000.00 but if I pay it now they will cut it in half or by the end of the month.Wow 3days to settle on a card that I didnt know I had a balance on due to my ex husband....If not I have to go to court. Hmmmm Gee thanks thats a great deal. OH and I was served papers too, which I was not.

They stopped calling after they realized I wasn't going to pay. This Jim Patrick idiot is a scam artist who plays on fear. No lawsuit, no more calls, nothing. Its a bs company that operates under a fake name. There's a few corporations registered under WFS, and this company is not one of them. They refuse to give their physical address because they know people would serve them with massive lawsuits, for violations of FDCPA.
DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR THREATS. They're a garbage debt collector. Simple as that. Hope this helped.

When you do talk to them, I would recommend recording the conversation, but of course, getting their consent to do so initially. I'm not a lawyer, but I'm sure they would tone down their illegal and reckless behavior when they know they're being recorded.

This is the second time they have called me and when I try calling back it is just a prerecodered message stating to leave your name number and ref#, they never call me back.

It's a scam and they violated numerous of my rights in doing so. They never served me, nor have they followed through with their threat of suing me.
My advice to anybody who gets the same treatment is to hire a lawyer...

I got a call from this number and when I returned the call they wanted the last four numbers of my social, and I said you called me, I just told you who I am, give me to who needs to talk to me. I was disconnected. When I called back again on a different phone, they tried to tell me they never left me a message to call, and I said you did because you called my landlord and left the message on his machine (a serious invasion of privacy), and they said then play it. I said I dont have to because now I have a witness on top of the message. They then said they had forwarded my info to another agency where I would be served. RIGHT!! I told them I had them on two legal counts and they hung on me. Watch out for yourselves.

I also recieved a call from this company or collection company. They told me the same information as you described. They claimed my debt was from an old mastercard account and if I didn't pay today I would get sued. To my understanding, debtors rights say that debt collectors cannot claim they are going to pursue legal action to claim their money. I thought twice about this only after I gave credit card information to pay the debt..... I have tried to call them back and inquire about an e-mail I am suppose to receive stating the debt is cleared...more and more I think I have been scammed.

Got a voicemail claiming I need to call this firm for a legal action filed against me. Called them and they wouldn't tell me what kind of company they were. The guy I eventually spoke with claims he works with an attorney and if I don't settle today they will file a suit against me which will more than double the settlement offer.
He also told me I was supposedly served over a month ago. I NEVER was served. Lets see if they follow through with their lawsuit threats...
His name is Jim Patrick.
