Received a call that shows as "Toll Free Call" and purported to be in regards to the SAT or ACT test taken last year by one of my children. After going into a spiel that started with a long winded question about whether my child was still planning on attending college, I asked what it was he wanted. He indicated that "he was getting there..." and I responded that ".... he should get there quick because I was busy." At that point, he hung up. I assume he was selling something to prepare a student for the SAT or ACT.

These people are incredibly rude and I can't believe that they are still in business!

We got a call from "Steve" at Academic something or other at 8:30AM on a Saturday. He told me that my son had expressed interest in SAT preparation. When I told him that we had already made other plans, he hung up on me. When I tried to call the 1-888-436-6311 number back, I got a rapid busy signal. How do people live with themselves having a "job" like that?

Called and said our 16 yr. old son had signed up for a SAT review course and it would be $185.00. Then he asked for a Credit Card #. We asked him to mail us the information at which time he hung up.

My son has been receiving calls from this number regarding his SAT scores since Kindergarten! He is in 4th grade now. I have asked multiple times to have his name removed but still keep getting calls!

One of those SAT/ACT prep program calls. If you have a high school age student who took the PSAT you are probably getting many of these types of calls. They are all scams and there are several. I am unsure how the info gets to these scammers, probably when the student fills out their info on the test because they always claim that "your child indicated they were interested in our program." The only way my son would do this is was inadvertently when he took the test. Tell your children NEVER to include their phone number on anything!!

Yeah, same thing here. Yet another annoying toll-free call. I've found blowing an air horn works nicely after the 3rd or 4th call....
