Yes, they sued me.
They have a inflated amount on suit i am hoping to get stuck only with amount on my credit report cannot locate old statements it was almost 3 years ago.
I called and offered more than half which it was told i could do but he claimed he did not have to take anything now even if it was the full total.
well shall see.

I got the same phone call, what made it even worse my step-father's name is John Wilson! I was getting ready to make some phone calls and something just did not seem right. I asked the name of the law firm, and googled it, no luck. Then I googled the phone number and found this page...wow!

i actually got a text from my mother saying that i needed to contact my cousin because she was contacted by these people saying that they were looking for me to send me a summons. i have not seen or spoken to my cousin at leas 15 years, she's gotten married so i don,t even know her new last name, never used her name on anything as a reference or otherwise and didn't even know how to contact her until my mother gave me her number to contact her about the situation. i have no idea how they would even know she was related.

called me at work, female voice, stating that a lawsuit has been filed against me, and that the court summons could not be delivered to my work, and that i need to call this number 888-443-8704 and speak to John Wilson. Stikns of a scam from a 1000 miles away! I called just for laughs. Got forwarded a couple of times. A guy named Martinez asked for my case number, which the first lady gave me. Martinez asked me for my name and county where I reside. I said he should have that based on the case number and I am not giving him any more private info on me. His words "you can call us back when you have a better attitude" and hung up. LOL. Hardly sounds like a concerned law firm that is desperately trying to deliver a court summons?
yeah, I though so too... scuker!!!

My in laws received a call for me how they got their number I have no idea, but anyway they claimed to be from RPS. He said his name was Mark William with a return telephone number of 888-234-3251. When I called back the number it gives a completely different name. I can't make out the first part but its some type of associates with message asking for a lawyer name. Not the rps private processing center they claimed. And if I didn't want a failure to appear I needed to call was the additional message Mark had left. Now if I haven't been served papers how is any of this possible

Debt Collector
Yep same thing happened today with my boyfriend.  He asked them to fax the paperwork so he could see what they are talking about and John Wilson said they can't do that.  I read up on TX law that says any collector with a legitimate claim to collect will have a paper trail.  Also a debt collector must sent you a written "validation notice" within 5 days of contact.  In this case, they were trying to collect on a Sprint phone contract to an address my boyfriend hadn't lived at in 13 years.  SCAM here.  They don't tell you who they are but they want you to give up your credit card information. Yea right.  You have the right to verify the debt is yours.  Stand firm people and don't take their crap.  Know your rights and throw it back at them!!!

A woman called and left a threatening message on my phone. When she called the number was blocked on my caller id. She said she worked for a company called RPS. She said it is a private processing firm. She said she needed to serve me a summons but she didn't say what it is for. She said she wanted to verify that I would be home between the hours of 8am-4:30pm. She said if I didn't call them back I would recieve a failure to appear in court. She said I needed to call and talk to a man named John Wilson who signed off on a complaint. She never explains herself or says what I need to go to court for. I don't know if she means failure to appear in a court of law or something else. If anyone else has recieved a call like this please let me know.
