This number is a toll-free number from South University's Admissions Dept. (Savannah, GA campus). Though they call me back periodically, I made a genuine online inquiry a few months ago. They will remove my number from their call list if I ask. I do not consider this a prank or telemarketer since I initiated the inquiry.

Yes it is South University and they helped me finally get the education that I've always wanted. I consider them the Harvard of the South. But if you aren't interested in going back to school just let them know. I'm sure they don't want to waste their time either. Have an excellent night.

If you let them know you are not interested, they will not call you. Also, if you sign up for any type of employment service and indicate you are interested in continuing your education, this may prompt the phone calls. Just let them know and it will stop the calls. If you were looking at school, you can ask just for email or alternative correspondence. The University is not a "diploma mill"--it is regionally accredited.

What a joke! The people (investors) who establish these diploma mills never went to college, themselves. Just say NO to for-profit online "colleges". They only exist because they're able to make out with the federal student loan money by the suckers who enroll for one semester then never return.

Good one! I did it and hopefully they took me off.If they EVER call again I am going to give them a piece of my mind.

All you have to do..... Call the number back. hit zero for the operator and have your name removed from the call list. It worked for me.

They keep calling! Telling them your are not interested doesn't seem to work!
| marc 2010-02-15 23:00:19 Unknown |
It would probably make more sense to just tell them that you aren't interested in going back to school. Then i'm sure they will quit calling

I requested info from them about their school, but now they call almost everyday. I guess I should answer and tell them to stop. They don't even leave a voice mail.

They called to see if I were interested in taking classes on-line. I just graduated and was not interested. They got my number through my job search. It is very disturbing to think that there are people out there so willing to take advantage of innocent people trying to find employment. They should be ashamed of themselves wasting people's valuable time!
