I just got a call from this number... anybody know who it is?

YEah I jsut got a call from this jennifer jones . She said she worked for my county and is a process server. I think its a crock of bs but i'll let you know if anything comes up

soo guys i got a call a month ago read some stuff on this num bc they told me it was a bad check and then next thing i know a cop came to my job served me with papers and i had court today ! great! this was embarssing and i wish i would have listen to what they were telling me ..... they offered to email a settlement and i told them to go f*** them selfs lets see what happens when you " take me to court" ..... well it happened it was 485 and i was offered a settlement of 250 and now after court im paying 3487!!!! and there taking 25% until i pay it off..... everyone just take care of it i knew i took it out and i just got mad now im even more mad. i wish they would have worked with me or i didnt read what yall wrote but hope no one eles has to go through this . good luck and never take out a payday loan and not pay it back they play with the words and get you as a bad check!!!!

called my family members and fallaciously claimed I wrote a fraudulent check and within 48 hours i will be served with a warrant.

I have been receiving calls from this number also.  But they used my name from 17 years ago.  They even called my ex-husband (divorced in 1992) and his girlfriend.  Have no idea how they got those cell numbers.  When I tried to call a lady named Jan Ellis....when to voice mail.  I decided not to leave a message.  When you call the number, the "company" isn't identified and the "operator" who answered was rude.  Actually, it sounded like the lady that left a voice mail on my cell phone.  Oh well.....they harrass me, my ex of 18 years, his girlfriend and who else knows.  They can't even get my name right.  Besides that, I claimed bankruptcy 17 years ago.....what the hell!!!

Well unfortunately it all came back good.  Lawyer checked it out.  Bank is informed.  I even got the email finally and they do have paper work.  It all is a real deal.

I am lucky they took $300.00 off for me and I found out when he said our company is his company sends the information to our court house clerks to let them know no collection legal action is required.  

I don't disagree with what people say on here about them.  I just finally got lucky today with one of many phone calls.  But you do need to be aware when they call they are who they say they are.  There are rude and harshing employers there.  For those who say and even said to me a few times harshing stuff about putting u in jail and coming to your place of employment or even saying all kinds of untrueful things it is against the law to do that.  They do have a right to try and collect there money but not in a harshing way.  Or even threating way.  We do have rights to that part of any collector calls.  Just search it and find your state and u will know your rights.  But no matter how upset u are with them calling u don't let them get rude with u but also don't u get rude with them and u don't  have to pay it all at once see if u can get a settlement offer or even make payment arrangements.  Just work with them and they will work with u and if u care nice to them but they are still rude then just speak in a nice voice and say "I won't be talked to this way and I don't deserve to be talked to this way."  Hang up.  

I went through a lot of them before I got a nice person.  

Best way to handle is try and be nice and see if u can work out a deal and make sure u get the paper work on it first and if u like or need to let your lawyer beware and your bank.  That way if anything happens u can sue them.  Then u have the paper work to back anything up on.

Now I had my paper work emailed to me on a email account I don't ever use for anything.  So I didn't have to wait for it to be mailed before I think it's okay and have my lawyer look at it and let my bank know.  U can even have it faxed to u too.  Anything that you can do to get it to you faster instead of waiting for it to be mailed to you then do it.  That way u have it all covered and verified.  Let your bank know any amounts that is to come out and let them know there name (this is on there letter as well) If any other amount comes out not autherized then u have your paper with u already and u can show your lawyer and bank the info.  It's all in the letter.

Oh  yeah said if I didn't pay they come to my house.  He didn't even say the street name right.

I got a phone call from work today 4/9 and got a Kevin Reed at 1-888-445-5419 ext 212

Called back and I was real nice and he was too.  He told me my balance and I said I would like a sentiment offer of $275.00 said there lawyer is a tight u know what and I said okay.  He said how about $300.00 I said $285.00.

He said okay he run it by the lawyer and he would also send me an email and I gave my email account one I never use so no worries and that was over 30 minutes ago and now email yet.

He said he need my card # but I said I don't do payments and that info over the phone.  I said I can call on the days make a payment and do it that way.

He later said that he send me the email with her guidelines and said he call Jackson county to let them know I will be making payments so I don't have a suit against me.  I said in Jackson county he said yeah our company that works for us.  I said what is the name and where is it at?  He said I don't know this is just what is on the paper.  I said so what is it a court house or lawyer he goes I don't know which court house I said this is a very small town and we have 1 court house and we don't have any company that does any kind of recovery.  So he is making crap up there.

Still no email as I type this up so makes me wonder humm.  He also said I get a paper in the mail of the payments and sentiment offer.  I still from this day before this call ever got anything from them.

He said something about the bank I account I had long ago and told him I don't have that account anymore.  I said I won't give out that info over the phone been scamed to many time.  I don't trust that type of stuff.  Regardless if it happend or not.

I should declare bankrupcy on this so they leave me alone cause I read to much about them and it's all scary scammy stuff.

Someone called named Jennifer Jones at this #.  She said they were going to come to my job and serve me papers and gave me a badge number for a PayDay Loan that I took out many years ago. She said that I will be served with papers if I don't call and get it straightened out in  an hour. I didn't call back and they called my parents the next day and told them to have me call or they were going to come up to my job.  I called the number and they had no company name and no one answered.  I was only able to leave a message and I chose not to.  I think this is some kind of collection agency trying to use scare tactics to get folks to pay old debt. Try another one.

Finally talked to someone at this #.  They are called Check and Credit Recovery.  Apparently I had a payday loan from almost 7 years ago and they are just now trying to come after me to get the money.  The message they left on my voice mail stated that I will be going to jail for this and have a felony on my record, etc.  But when I talked to them they told me that they would be garnishing my wages.  LOL my child support already takes 50% of my disposable wages.  They can not take anything over that.

I got a call from 1-888-445-5419 at home and tried to call from work.  There is no company name and the extension I only got voice mail.  The message at home said to contact a Katlyn Adams regarding a civil complaint and left a file #.

I got a call from this number too... anybody know who it is?
