I get calls from over 15 collectors asking for someone else--months and months and months of calls all day long.  I sent certified cease and desist letters.  I took photographs of the calls, got an attorney, notified the ftc., the calls continue.  People need to get fed up enough and call their Congressman or e-mail their Congressman to do something about this, what I call, domestic terrorism.  The only thing that stops these calls is disconnecting the phone wire.  I have read online where some people who have settled with debt collectors found charges on their bank accounts from unknown sources months later.  Don't talk to these collectors, period.  If you owe money, talk to the original creditor.

called and left a message with a company number, a ref. number, and a phone number to call back. No info on what they want. research shows they offer credit card debt consolidation services.

Do not allow debt collectors to threaten you or swear at you or tell you they are taking you to court. You should report these debt collector's to your attorney general office. You have rights! If you tell a debt collector to not call you at work any more they can not call any more! They can give you settlement offers if they want. Do not let any one bully you into paying. Hang up on them!

Receiving several calls from this number.  Harrassment.    Debt is to Target for ONLY their finance charges.   Statement was paid in full EXCEPT for their monthly finance charges.

Received a call from a private number - messages was left by Dan with First Source Advantage - ref # was 15147703 - not sure what he was calling about, but I suspect invalid junk debt

First Source called me a work today and I must say it is annoying. If you get phone calls from debt collectors you can fight back. They have federal and state laws/rules that they must follow in order to collect. You may want to consider buying a cheap phone conversation recorder and keeping good track of each call.

Google fighting debt collectors and you should find some references to making them pay you (in court) for their harrassment. It's being done, and people are winning.

I recieve dozens of calls daily from First Source.  I have requested they send me a letter or statement in the mail of the debt they have on file.  I have requested this each time they call but they never send it.  I have confirmed my address with them and keep telling them I never get their mails.  I'm certainly looking for it so I know what they're talking about.  They never tell me who the debt is for, how much it is, etc.  They just use foul language and belittle me, claiming "I know who I owe and how much it is".  I'm not sending money or offering payments until I know what it is from!  I don't just give away money without knowing what it is going to!  I tell them I will gladly discuss the debt once I receive this, but they keep calling and harassing me.

To Mark at First Source - SEND ME MY MAIL!!!  And stop trying to be "sneaky" and calling from a Private number...I know it's you.

Shortly before 4pm pst, A message was left on our answereing machine from a gentleman from First Source at 1-888-446-8457.  I didn't write his name down; but he gave me a reference# 13045142.  He said to call back at this number.  I feel this call is bogus as we owe no outstanding debt.  We appreciate it if these people not call intimidating individuals without due cause.  The call was directed to (360) 943-6625.  Thank you for your cooperation.  William Frazier

Most hateful man (Richard) said he was "most successful" at collecting bad debts. He used fowl language, threatened me, wouldn;t let me talk, but talked loud fast and rudely over me whenever I tried to talk. '
Said there was NO reason for me to be 90 days late, but wouldn't let me talk, said he didn't care. I offered him a small payment, and he refused my money, said it wasn't good enough. Asked how much money I net a month so he could tell me how bad I am at managing my money, asked me how I pay my utility bills...asked me why a family member could't help...yet everytime I tried to talk he cut me off. Said that he might as well get a court order ( I owe Traget $200.00) because he knows I can't afford a lawyer so he's guaranteed victory..... I could go on and on. Calls me up to 20 times a day at home, and at work. I told him NOT to call my office because I will get fired....he says he'll stop, and the next day when I get to work....I get several messages that his conmpany keeps calling and leaving messages of a highly personal nature on the company answering machine where the secretaries get it, and snicker...
I am not a deadbeat. I am a single mother of 3 who has recently lost a husband, and his income. I have lost my house, and am only trying to pay rent, and support my kids. Yes, I owe Target $200.00, but even such a little amount is beyond my ability. He wants no less than $100.00 and will not accept $20.00 from me. I have applied for night jobs, and will work two jobs to heal financially, but to Richard from Fist Source Collection in Rochester, NY I ask....how can this man sleep at night hounding widows and harassing people by calling up to 20 times a day and calling my office even though he knows that will create me to lose my job?
There is NOTHING more than I would like to do than pay this hateful man and get him out of my life.
BUT, Target has to come after feeding my children.
I wonder how well Richard sleeps at night...If he rests well, he is Satan's spawn, and will deserve everything he has coming when it's his turn to answer to the Almighty God someday.  So will all of the other employees that delight in being such hard noses. My mortgage was for $440,000.00....you would have expected hatefulness from them, but NO they were professional. First Resource is SCUM!

1-888-446-8457  the person they asked for is not here and never was.I called and explained about all the calls I have been getting from collection co,and I do not know of this person.I have kept track of all calls and they are recorded for future refrence.I checked my messages and this co has called me before after I told them to please take my no off their list.I am going to put in a complaint with the ftc to see if they can help as I consider this a harrisament.I called back and a young lady said her name was kelly,
