I received a message on my answering machine telling me that this is an important call and not a sales call. When I called this number back from my cell I got the message, that this number is not available from where I call and was asked to call the local number. I have no clou what local number.

Called 18772131160 asked for the "Paragon Dept." to be removed from collection list, as per previous poster.  Was told that the "Paragon Dept." is no longer there and Tammy Tucker is no longer with the company.  Was transferred to Citibank, Trista Oberman.  Left her a message with my request to be removed from their list and for a returned call.  After reading other complaints regarding this number on this site and others, I am very doubtful that my request will be fulfilled.

I will be sending this letter to them.  They have to stop when they receive it in writing.

I received the same call today on my cel phone.  It was from Tami Tucker phone number 1 866 533 7460 and left message for me to call 1 888 447 4168.  I hanged up after the recording message that put me on hold.

This business is Encore Receivables and I only know that because I called them and asked. They're calling looking for someone. They will take your telephone number off their call list if you call them back. But until you do, they'll call multiple times a day, day after day.

If you visit their website check out the privacy and policy link in the bottom right hand corner.They will use your IP address also to track "who" you are so to say.

Got a call today, left a name Tai Tucker & number to call back, but only get "Thank you for calling, your call is very important to us.  Please hold for the next available representative."

I get called from someone named Tami Tucker. It is an automated call and asked me to call Tami tucker back at 18884474168. It happens about once or twice a week. I want it to stop.

After holding for 5 minutes, a rep answered and when I asked who they were, she said Encore RMI.. they were looking for someone else who may have had my cell number at one time.  I asked if they were a collections agency and she was hesitant but said 'sort of'.  she said she would take my number off their list.(hopefull)

. . . I have had these kinds of calls in the past and judging by all these posts reporting them does not help.  My solution is to give this number to all your friends, family, co-workers, people at church, everyone you can: and ask them to call these people to ask why they constantly call people they have NO reason for calling when they do not even know who they are calling.  They should call at all hours as often as possible.  Turn about is fair play, don't you all agree?

I get a call from this number every other day and will be reporting them to the DO NOT CALL.GOV.

I just got this and called and they immediately put me on hold.  I held for a few minutes and then they answered looking for a certain person.  I told them that there was no such person and asked who this was.  They said Encore and I asked what business and they said financial.  They then asked what my number was so they could verify.  I then said I am not giving that to them and they said I would continue to get calls and then they hung up.  DORKS!!

I have been receiving phone calls from this same number.  They don't ask for anyone in particular.  They give their name but they don't say who they represent.  They just leave this number asking to call back between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m.

Been getting the messages to on my anwser machine and goes on forever but did get a call from this number this morning at 10am and it was a human on the other end and his name was Mr. Wingins wanting me to give him my S.S number to verify that I was this person he was looking for.  I told him I dont give that info over the phone or to anyone. And hung up on him.  So watch it they are asking for S.S numbers

calls and lvs msg to call back, they dont ask for any one particular name or anything!  I don't know who this is and I dont like these cold calls especially when they aint for me! this is the second time they called! some companies really have nothing better to do than bother folk! not good business manners if you ask me.

I get the exact same thing. My question is should I report this to the National Do Not Call Registry (donotcall.org), the FCC, or something? Is this considered a tele-market call?

Repeated calls daily with a recording looking for someone that does not reside at my number. No way to call them and get them off my back.

Pepole from Encore are calling at 6am to around 10pm. They are getting rude and threating with me and my family.

I keep getting calls for an ex-son-in-law. I've tried hanging up. I've tried option one so I could explain I'm not him and I don't know why they have my number. They just hang up on me. The calls are several times a day like I'm on a loop. They say my number will be removed, but it hasn't. They come up under two different numbers: 314-338-3979 and 417-553-0914.

These jerks have been calling me up to 15 times a day. I keep getting that message that says something like "I have a message for ______. If this is ______, please press 1." I pressed 1 even though they had a wrong number. Every time I tried to politely say that they had the wrong number, they would hang up on me. They have their number blocked, so I had no idea who was calling until one time, one of their dim wits told me it was Encore before hanging up on me. I got sick of it, and with each call, I got angrier, and my response was worse each time. Today, they called 6 times before NOON. The last time they called, I yelled very loudly "YOU HAVE THE WRONG F*&^ING NUMBER! STOP CALLING ME! and I hung up on them. Then, I called my phone company, and found out how to make my phone line not accept blocked numbers, hoping they would unblock their number so I could report them to someone. But, they havent called back. So, try that. It may work.

For the past three weeks they call about 8 times a day.  This past week it has increased to a call every 15 minutes.  Spoke to a guy the second week who reassured me he would take my number off the automatic dial list(I have never heard of the person/debtor they are looking for but he has the same initials as my husband; believe this crook took my husband's info from the phone book and used it as contact info for credit card applications).  Never happened.  They keep calling and hanging up rudely.  They identified themselves once as Encore.  I can't cancel my number because we use it for our business fax.  Any help?
