I have been called by Decker Elis & Associates also. I gave them my information to withdraw money from my account to settle a debt with Capitol One. I started payments last Nov.23, and my payments ended on the 19th of April.How about Capitol one says I still owe them money. I need proof. The only proof I have is from my bank and that's been almost a year ago. What a mess?

I am one that got it, was threatened to pay 483.00 or I would have to go to court and pay 3000.00 for a card my ex-husband got in my name. This person knew my ex-married name , all my past addresses, DOB and my full SSN. They blew my phone up, home and cell phone. I have children at home and could not afford jail or a larger fine. They took the last payment out today and I have to now change my bank account before they take more.

I happen to be the owner of the phone number "they" give out as a contact number after they get people's money.   I can't tell you how many people have called me, thinking they're getting in touch with decker ellis.  Yeah, legit companies don't do things like that.

YES they are scammers, they say they are attorneys However upon my investigation that is not true, they dont practice law nor are the associated with the national bar association of attoneys, they want my case. Any way they almost got me I spoke with my bank we cancelled my card I will never do that again. And I suggest that yall do the research and ask for as much information you can get BEFORE paying any body... All they are is debt collectors my debt was so old that i had to call six different places when I mentioned the these people i got silent. They have been ripping people off for a long time.....

Yeah i just got a call from the same people from 888-998-0806 too today and i told them off and I said when they finally track you guys down you will go to prison for false claims.

well guess the have chaged their number once more they are using 888-998-0806 claiming to be from delaware but really from florida,they took me for over 200 dollars and expect more next month,i feel so stupid. isnt it illegal to do this to people?where are they getting personal information?this has never happed to me before. who can i contact to get this investigated further.i asked them to send me legal documents but all they send me is something that was printed off thier computers

There are a lot of people (in business) that will do many things here, online in competition. This may/may not be the case with you. But besides noticing you posting this message on multiple sites, then coming back a week later and giving "advice" to other people, I noticed something ELSE quite interesting.

You say you made an original agreement of $600. They took half already, & would get the other half in a Month. That was on March 30th, a week ago. But now your telling Amy they were not able to get MORE money from you on "Thursday" because you cancelled your card? If the first half (that your bank gave back) came out prior to your original post, and your final payment is in a month, what payment did you CANCEL for Thursday?

I'm just saying there is some serious contradiction that points in the direction of you either fighting (dirty) against the competition, a disgruntled employee, or something personal against them.

Was all ready taken out . I called the bank and had my Visa card
Stopped and replaced so they can't take out any more money.
But I still lost the $200.00. Word to the wuss, go online

They called and said they wanted to get a current address to serve me with papers to take me to court for an old walmart credit card. they game me my social security, an old address and my full name, year card was opened and when it went default. i was convinced since i really did let this card go to collections, this was real.  they said i could settle out of court for a little over $600. gave them my credit card info and they took half of the $600 something and said they would recharge me again in 1 month.

i started wondering if this was a scam. i called walmart, which banks with GE capital and they said my account is now with a different department of GE capital that deals with old / bills that went to collections. i called that department and they said that my balance is $0 and that they did not give my debt to a collection agency to collect. they said since it was over 8 years, they pretty much gave up on tryin to collect...lol.

i called chase, my bank, and explained all this to them. within 12hours they credited me back my money. i was really surprised i got my money back...it was a good 2 weeks later that i started having my doubts.

so, becareful everyone !

These people are scammers they are calling me they want me to pay them some money and I owe them nothing and don't even know who they are

These same folks have called my home and spoken to my husband with the same message that they have legal documents to serve to me and to call Decker Ellis & Associates at 888-447-5760.  We got the same thing, hold for next representative.  If they ever pick up, they are just trying to get more personal info from you.  DONT give it to them.  Legal documents that need serving already have your address and do not need you to call them to get it.  IT IS A SCAM!!!!

Exact same thing happened to me they called my parents home and scared them to death and now they are calling my old employer who contacted me a well.  I am going to call the FBI regional office today and report these guys.  It's a scam!

Got a message from my old employer about someone wanting my contact information to serve me papers.  I just bought a house 2 years ago and also check my credit report every 6 months for any possible fraud since I had someone use my SS number before.  These people at 188-447-5760 are scammers.  Beware!

My husband has been getting calls from these people saying to call back as he needs to be served, if he was to be served they obviously would have his address, makes no sense. i called the # and its for Decker , Ellis and Assoc. they ask for a case # and want more info. mu husband hasnt given any info but today he went to work to find a FED EX missed delivery form on the window, he called fed ex and was told there is no such package of anything pending for him. These people actually marked off Medical as the type of delivery. My husband has nothing on his credit report that is owed. they are obviously using fed ex forms to scare you into paying something. HOW to we get these people to stop calling?

This number is calling me several times a day. I usually ignore calls that I do not know the number..so I finally answer it the other day. The guy said they were serving me a subpoena and that I was to be home between 1-4 pm...I asked what this was related to and I was informed that it was for a 13 year old credit card account I had for a 300 dollar credit limit. they were asking me for my social security number and bank routing number and bank account number to take care of the bill, which was now 4000.00??? I was told they have sent me information about the account to my parents address, but they had none of my current information.  They gave me a case number related to my case "in court" but after I hung up I called the court in my county and there is nothing filed in my name...these guys are major scammers. Do not give them any information, they were trying to scare me into paying 4000 that day...(which I didn't have to begin with) by threatening me with a supboena, which does not even exist.The guy in the litigation department could not even give me his extention to his desk because he said they all share desks and move so they are not always at the same desk/extention...weird for a legit business??...I hung up on them and they are harrassing me to no end. They call several times a day, but do not leave any voicemails?!?! When I asked what the name of the company was he gave me 3 different names? duh...big scammers!

These people are harrassing! When I tried to call this number back, (they had left a message while I was at work) there is no answer such as "Thank you for calling Decker & Associates...."     Instead, it just picks up & says they will transfer you to the nex available rep. The voice on the recording honestly sounds like a chipmunk!

Someone calling from this number has called several peopl I know, including family. I called it back and no one answers. It just picks up and says they will transfer to the next available rep. The company is never identified.
