same person called me and i didnt pick up, but i had o idea who it was and the phone number isnt in canada 411...scammer

Someone pretending to collect money for a children's rodeo charity.  The caller became VERY evasive when I started asking detailed questions about the charity and then hung up on me.

Okay, that means: WATCH OUT, HE'S A SCAMMER!!!!

BUT the problem is scammers know how to fake Call ID

Keep getting calls for the owner,the caller ID says CPC.

Got a call today from 888-450-9819 and the Caller ID said "The Campaign Of " with nothing after that. Since there is a possible election call here in Ontario Canada I think it may be from one of the parties that hopes to win the next Federal or Provincial election, The did not leave a message so no telling who is using the number now Jan 28 2011. I have only received one call so far from this number but I expect I will get more.

popular call times are 329pm and 1236pm but are not limited to these times alone.

Quite frankly, I am tired of answering these unknown calls to have to again and again politely say no, no I am not interested, no thank you, take me off your callers list. It's as redundant as telemarketers encouraging me to use good manners- I think I will save myself 8 bucks a month by cancelling call display, and take up answering my phone rudely; as a hobby- Really is there any other way to combat these chronic unwanted phone calls? Why should I not return harassment in response?

Unfortunately anyone with a credit card has access to see all the numbers on this "no call list" that includes telemarketers!

How do I get rid of this?

Asked for me by my middle name ( What my phone is under - never use it for anything else)

Wanted me to give my credit card number for a Charity Hockey game... claims I pledged money 3 months ago, so I "had to give the card number to him".

When I said I knew he was lying because "I Hate hockey almost as much as I hate charities, so I sure as h*** wouldn't donate money to either one", he hung up on me.

Call was on my missed call list. We are on the canada no call list

Keep getting calls from this number, many times a day, do not answer them anymore.  I wish they would stop.  I am registered with the "Do Not Call List".

Received a call today and was told that I had helped them in the past. I knew that I had not. I said that I was going out and could not spend any more time with them .I have been on the DNC list from day 1.What gives?

These people have started calling me on a regular basis too but with caller ID I haven't answered.  Now I'm glad I googled the number and the "CPC" that shows up on call display.  They called at 8:30 Sunday night also!!!  Absolutely infuriating!!

This number calls at least 10 times a day. Very annoying. Never answer. I am on the "Do Not Call List" for all the good it's doing.

Received a call from this number and CPC in caller-id, says they are calling to sell tickets for a charity hockey game in Barrie, ON. Seeing the previous comments (rodeo, baseball, etc), this seems like an obvious scam.  Beware.

These callers have no consideration of time of day or night that they call. What ever happened to 9:00 to 5:00 being business hours.  These people called me again at 8:44 this evening which I find very invasive during my families limited time together.  If I am interested in giving to a charity I am more than capable of contacting them without their harrassing calls. Actually this turns me off of giving and I find myself saying NO even it I think it is a good cause!  I am so sick of being bugged every day and sick of no message calls and no one on the other end half of the time I do pick-up.  Lately phone numbers are showing on our T.V. screen ( another one of those little mysteries? just showed up one day when the phone rang?) I have to say I really like this so at least I do not have to get up and view my call display I can continue what I am doing and just choose not to answer. Well that's a little steam off of my day...lol.

An FYI for those of you complaining about receiving calls from a charity while on the the "Do Not Call Registry".  Charities, political parties and those doing surveys can call you even if you are on the do not call list.  Now I have no idea if this specific number is for a valid charity but if it is, they certainly can call even if you are on the do not call list.

JUSY GOT A CALL FROM THESE PEOPLE. CHARITY BALL GAME IN SARNIA. I TOLD HER I WASN'T INTERESTED AND SHE PERSISTED.I ASKED HER "WHAT PART OF NOT INTERESTED DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND?" AND HUNG UP. I also am on the do not call list.

Got a call from them, and didn't answer. No message left. After researching the number here, I added it to my Primus VoIP block list by pressing *44. They won't be bothering me again. :)

Just got a call from this number not even 5 min ago I HATE that I registered for that do not call list and still they F**king call. It should be called The DO NOTHING AND THEY WILL STILL CALL LIST! What a waste of time and taxpayers money to setup this List that probably millions register for, and for what NOTHING!, NADA!, ZILCH!, they still call. I'm sure I'm not the only one as I can see from the amount of websites like this, there are thousands of websites like this.

CALLS ONCE A DAY. NEVER ANSWER

Early Sunday afternoon again!!  This time named "CPC" the caller offered a taped message about a "Rodeo Event" when I called back.  Luckily, have the number blocked --till they change it-- so it rarely calls through anymore.  Used to be endless.

I have had these people call and also say they represent a childrens day out rodeo. Very insistant that they be given a credit card # over phone. Did not do of course but they certainly are persistant.

Comes up on my phone as  CPC........they never leave a message. I never
answer 800 numbers, but this one calls about 10 times a day.
Very annoying.

This number called my house today, Sunday, shortly after noon.  I did not answer ----- very rarely ever do answer "800 series" calls.  I am on the "Do Not Call" registry - what a joke that is in Canada!  And isn't there some sort of rule that telemarketers aren't even supposed to call on a Sunday ???

Just got a call and before I always gave my credticardnumber and received receipts for this charity. Never checked its validity, Now I didn't give my credit card number. They were going to get back to me and send me a bill. I am waiting now....

Must be one of the brainless few, conned into working for the scammer! So few brains, he's getting scammed too , or, he the owner!

My reply to you is to start calling all your cop friends day after day and get them to donate their money.
I have charities that I donate to on a yearly basis and only have x number of dollars to donate and I
don't have any left for your charity.  Sorry.
